‘Shoot the Sun’ dropped its teaser poster.

The movie ‘Shoot the Sun’, in which actor Kang Ji-hwan stars in, is gaining huge attention even before its release, since he has been away from the film set for three years. Kang Ji-hwan is expected to show charismatic side of him in the movie.

Moreover, a renowned actress, Yoon Jin-seo who has built her career in a number of movies from ‘Santa Barbara’, ‘Race’ to Old Boy’, was cast to play Kang’s partner, a femme fatale, planning to show her enchanting charms.

Finally, a rookie, Park Jung-min who has shown characteristic performances in SBS’s drama ‘You Are Surrounded’ and movie ‘Bleak Night’, also joined in the movie, thus forming the perfect trio for the perfect movie.

The first member of the trio, Kang Ji-hwan, was cast as John. John pursues a dream that may seem typical and plain to others. But he is a man who dares to puts all his eggs in one basket to achieve it. Yoon Jin-seo was cast to be Sarah, a jazz vocalist. She falls in love with John. Finally, there’s the last member, Chen. He is an illegal immigrant who is a good friend of John. The trio is expected to amaze the audience.

‘Shoot the Sun’ was officially decided to hit the theaters in March.

The movie "Shoot the Sun" has been invited to the Osaka Asian Film Festival.

"Shoot the Sun" starring Kang Ji Hwan and Yoon Jin Seo will have a special screening at the  "10th Osaka Asian Film Festival" (OAFF) which will be held from March 6 to 15.

Shot in location in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, USA, and elsewhere, "Shoot the Sun" is a film noir about two men with hopes and dreams who came to the United States to start a new life and one woman's love and betrayal.

Returning to the big screen after three years, Kang Ji Hwan took on the role of the main character, John, who fell in love with Sarah, played by Yoon Jin Seo, a jazz vocalist with an enchanting voice. Park Jung Min who appeared in the SBS drama "You are Surrounded" showed an impressive performance by playing the role of Chen, an illegal immigrant and John's irreplaceable friend.

The director of the movie, Kim Tae Sik will participate in the film festival on the afternoon of March 11 as he is scheduled to speak about the film.

Meanwhile, "Shoot the Sun" will be released in Korea on March 19, 2015.

I noticed in all the many works Kang Ji Hwan did he have a role in the old movie shoot the sun and now he would take on the lead role in the this is interesting we should see and outstanding performance being that if he was cast in the original

You're welcome, @valsava. There is only one "Shoot the Sun" movie. It's just that this was shot in 2013 and released only now, 2015, after two years. His fans have been waiting for this because it has been three years since his last movie and this would be the first time when he would have a love scene.  ^^
