Jong Kook mentioned it in the first episode I believe, that while Ji Ah's a daddy's girl, Ji Wook (little brother) is a Mama's boy. So there is a bit of favoritism, among the parents as well as the kids but I'm sure they love each other all the same. <3

Im sure jong kook loves his son no question  but to say one is more favorited over the other  seems a little unfair is my point, and to show it to the whole world is not an example of good parenting considering its a show about bonding with your kids.

one thing to keep in mind though about song jong gook's 'favoritism' -- and anyone else who has different experiences/opinions can definitely chime in! -- but in korean culture, i think it's pretty common that a daughter is expected to act 'cutesy' towards their dad, whereas the opposite is expected of the son. a caption in a past episode said, when jia was saying something really cute to her dad, something along the lines of "every new dad's dream, an 'aegyo' filled daughter." when daughters are encouraged to show affection to their dad but sons are not encouraged to the same extent, i think dads can end up feeling more comfortable showing (more) affection to their daughters.(you see this a lot in korean dramas that have that stereotypical 'business' family -- dad will be laughing with his (girly) daughter one second, then turn around screaming at his son for something business-related the next, yeah? =) )
the other half of the dynamic can be seen with song dong il and jun -- song dong il was seen in the earlier episodes, and even in the recent episodes to an extent, taking a 'tough love' approach with jun. but he mentioned that he treats his daughters very differently, implying that he treats them much more gently/affectionately, and i think that's due the gender dynamic.
sorry, i know this is a really analytical/lecturey post!!! but just something to think about ^^ as you can probably tell, i'm veryyy interested in gender studies, and i have personal experience with this as well...i was raised as the only daughter in a traditional korean household, and my dad mentioned many times throughout my childhood that he would treat me differently if i had been a son, i.e. i would have had more freedom, but he also wouldn't have been afraid to spank or hit me for bad behavior. also, no matter how badly i acted out in front of my mom, she always told me (threatened me? haha) to act nicely to my dad because that was what he expected of me. gender divisions are probably on the decline in korea, but for now, they're still really relevant.  
also, a simpler explanation might be that since jia is older, she just knows what to say to suck up to her dad/make him happy, more so than her younger brother does haha.

@minkyung, Everytime I see Sung Dong Il's comments (I have to read subs) I laugh but I also think, "Evil!"
By the looks of the old friendship, he knows exactly what buttons to push.  And while during the second trip, I'd assumed he was feeling guilty over MG's tears (tho guilt didn't stop naughty Dong Il teasing MG & his Appa) because he'd put an arm around MG one time and later insisted on MG sleeping inside, it makes even more sense now that @Evanni's shown us they are close friends!
Also, Joon was really happy in that last episode to go with MG and Jiah.  It was very cute.  
The two dads who'll probably still be buddies after this show is over, as in made friends during it, not before, look like Yoon Min Soo and Song Jong Kook.  Of course their kids kind of forced them to it, but... ;-)  Anyway, at the end of that last episode, it was also cute that Jia was kind of playing with Yoon Min Soo (Hoo and her weren't paying attn to each other: weird) and he was playing with her back. So, they're all getting to know each other!
Btw, anyone else impressed with Yoon Min Soo and Hoo's stylist?  Their clothes are really well coordinated.
