For everyone that read my post about why Oh Young went into the lodge/cabin, you can also view some very insightful post by Softy at her site under this date: March 24, 2013 at 11:35 pm (wow, this link is awesome, it takes you directly to her post).

I know her blog is public, but I don't want to quote her insights because I'm not sure if she is okay with me posting her things out of her site. I feel a bit sensitive when I take people's words/insights outside unless it's information.

A lot of prediction for the ending in here....I'd say that I will give up thinking what will happen in the ending since writer Noh so far didn't disappoint me...She sure is one talented writer.. She writes That Winter beautifully and whatever suits her taste or judgement at the ending, I'll completely trust her.. Though I need lots of courage if it is going to be a sad ending.. X_X

In the latest episode of SBS TV’s “That Winter, the Wind Blows”, Song Hye Gyo cries bitter tears and coldly bids farewell to Jo In Sung and Secretary Wang.

Oh Young (Song Hye Gyo) finally discovers the real identity of Oh Soo (Jo In Sung) and overhears Secretary Wang and Oh Soo’s conversation, the revelations of which come as a harsh blow for Oh Young. Oh young returns to her room to cry, not only for Oh Soo and Secretary Wang’s deception, but that she found out about her brother’s death too late to mourn.

Rather than get angry, Oh Young handles the matter cautiously, not letting on that she now knows. For the first time she treats Secretary Wang kindly, dressing up in a wedding dress for their first photograph together. She tells Secretary Wang, “It’s a pity that all I can gift the person who raised me for over 20 years is this. If I recover after the surgery, I won’t need you by my side Secretary Wang, so get ready to leave when the time comes”.

In addition, Oh Young rewrites her will, removing Oh Soo and leaving the entirety of her assets to charity. Knowing that Oh Soo has been secretly stealing her memories from her greenhouse room, she records a short video for him. While in person she maintains her former countenance, on film she asks, “Now I understand why so many people’s scent have been appearing in this room; Secretary Wang’s and yours. What is your ultimate aim in making me believe you’re my brother? Or in making me love you? Or is this entire situation what you wanted?” Watching the video, Oh Soo is immediately overcome with guilt.

Following Oh Young’s requests, Oh Soo takes her to a holiday house she claims is from their childhood. She continually asks him questions related to their childhood memories, offering false memories as the answers to clock his reaction and confirm what she already knows.

Having lost Oh Young’s trust, whether or not Oh Soo can reclaim Oh Young’s love remains to be seen in future episodes.

That Winter, the Wind Blows has been receiving love from variety shows, as the popular drama is climbing in Korea and overseas.

The most popular parodies are of the cotton candy kiss scene, and the scene where Song Hye Gyo measures Jo In Sung with her hand while laying down.

In the case of the cotton candy kiss, parodies were done on shows such as tvN’s ‘Baek Ji Yeon’s People Inside’ by ZE:A’s Bang Hyung Sik and Kim Dong Jun as well as on MBC Everyone’s ‘Reckless Family 2’ by Miss A’s Min and BTOB’s Min Hyuk.

Parodies of the racy scene of Song Hye Gyo measuring Jo In Sung with her hand were seen on tvN’s ‘SNL Korea’ and KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert’ in the skit ‘Bum’s Dignity,’ giving viewers a good laugh.

Aside from television, 2NE1’s Sandara Park, singer Son Ho Young, and BoA have also done their own parodies of the drama.

The fact that so many parodies have been made is proof of the amount of love that the drama has been receiving across Korea.

So weird, this thought sudden came into my mind. I was wondering if he left her, how would or could she find him again? What if he really was harmed by the people at the casino will she let him to die or how will she reclaim him if something happens to him? (I have to be real because I know she can't see so she has to rely on someone else to find him for her again :'() I don't understand this, but I think he's leaving the house for real, but in the preview that we watched it said she doesn't want him to leave. The longer and shorter previews are messing with my head. I guess maybe she let him leave first, but wanted to find him back? (Lawyer Jang helped her find him back and gave him her money to repay to the casino people?)

I wonder what was their conversation here because he looked unhappy with what she said....and with her leaving to go back to her room...





My guess is that after both of them got back from the lodge/cabin trip, he's leaving as requested by her?

I got cut off from viewing the rest of the scenes after this scene.

I'm glad to read the translations above and learned now that at least he has some stories to tell her now. How totally awesome to finally be Soo the orphan (tree) in front of her...he needs to celebrate it even if at this point she may reject him..kekee.

As they walk through the market, Soo and Young share about their past. I just want to add that I watched this all the way through first and then translated, but I found myself crying through this first scene and then continued through this whole translation -will explain why after it’s done.

soo: while I was living at the orphanage – what was the most delicious was the black bean noodles sold at markets. 30 kids would sit on the streets and ate black bean noodles. I ate it the fastest. (he says that looking at her and bragging) so the director (of the orphanage) would say “ya eat slowly – no one will take it from you” but I couldn’t believe those words. it felt like someone would take it from me and eat it for sure. Young: it’s like me. after I was 6, it always felt like someone was deceiving me. if they put drugs in my food, since I can’t see – what do I do if they push me from the stairs, what do I do if someone plays around with me, I was always nervous – like today. Soo looks guilty hearing that, but says there is a place that sells red bean porridge. (it’s porridge that is sweet and tastes good)

JS confronts Kim. JS: why cant we? what else is there but Oh Soo hyung winning the money he owes you –use your brain. Oh Soo Hyung and I will win and pay back your money so why aren’t you letting us go into the (gambling) house –let us go into the house. Kim: I said you couldn’t. JS: then don’t hold onto our ankles so we can go into another house.

Just as soo is leaving her home at the top of the stairs, Young says: I loved you. I don’t have the confidence to keep you by my side and love you, but you deceiving me is not something to be guilty about (not a sin). it was a way for you to live and cuz there were times when I was happy. her eyes fill with tears as she walks to her room

I'm so super excited to see the next episode after seeing this 3 min preview.

I'm glad to see that OS can open up about his childhood and be himself and not fake anymore and OY giving him comfort that he shouldn't feel guilty because it meant something to the both of them. To see her do that really means a lot, because it goes back to that scene when they went sledding and talked in the house about how "it's okay to be okay". That was when she heard about OS's story though not knowing it was actually his story, and she felt for him at that time too, so to see that in the preview I think really shows her character and how much she cares about him.

jjeenny19 : hi sorry thanks for mentioning Hong Ki of FT Island Band. Yep I remember he mentioned Kyo as his ideal girl. and about HB's statement, yeah i remember now, he said it during an interview. I think I should revise my list again. If you happen to know more just let me know ok. I'll add it on to my list.
