Actress Ha Ji Won recently held her second fan meeting in Tokyo, Japan, and performed to a full house.

Nearly 40% of the fans who turned up on the day were males, and marked a change from past fan meetings where it was predominantly female fans. An industry official remarked, “The Hallyu Wave is gradually weakening in Japan, but it’s a rare occurrence for an actress to sell out all 2,200 seats for a fan meeting. Korean officials in Japan have reportedly stated that Ha Ji Won could well be the new leader of the Hallyu Wave for Korean actresses.”

Ha Ji Won said, “There are times where I feel like taking a break for a period. But in order to create opportunities to meet my fans, and because of my huge passion for work, I hope to quickly take on a new production.”

Ha Ji Won holds a fanmeeting in Japan for her Asia Tour

Actress Ha Ji Won recently completed her second fanmeeting in Japan at Tokyo's Nakano Sun Plaza Hall.

Ha Ji Won impressed with her second fanmeeting held at a medium sized auditorium with 2,200 seats. Through this fanmeeting, Ha Ji Won proved her popularity even in Japan as a member of the Hallyu Wave. 

Ha Ji Won commented, "Although as an actress there are times when I want to rest while tirelessly going forward, my passion to film dramas and movies in order to create opportunities to meet my fans is stronger than ever. I will quickly film another project so that I can seek you out again." 

Ha Ji Won's second fanmeeting in Japan is part of her Asia Tour which she started back in June 2014. Ha Ji Won has thus far met her fans in Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore.

It claimed an additional 115K (4%) over the weekend across 391 screens; perhaps a disappointing performances as that million-admissions milestone seems to move ever so slightly away (855K).
