[머니투데이 스타뉴스 김태은 기자] 일본에서 큰 사랑을 받고 있는 MBC '대장금'에서 '먹보 창이' 역할로 인기를 끈 최자혜가 KBS2 '봄의 왈츠'로 한류 열풍을 이어가겠다는 각오를 밝혔다.

최자혜는 오는 3월 첫방송되는 KBS2 월화 미니시리즈 '봄의 왈츠'에서 어려운 환경 속에서 밝고 꿋꿋하게 살아가며 뮤지컬 배우를 꿈꾸는, 여주인공 은영(한효주 분)의 친구 미정 역을 맡게 된다.

'대장금'과 MBC 일일극 '굳세어라 금순아'에 연이어 출연한 이후 휴식을 위해 한달여간 미국여행을 다녀온 최자혜는 공항 입국장에서 캐스팅 소식을 듣고 기쁨에 어쩔 줄 몰라했다는 후문이다.

현재 '대장금'과 관련된 각종 가이드북 촬영, 잡지 인터뷰 등으로 일본 현지에서 인지도를 높이고 있는 최자혜는 일본내 한류열풍을 이끌고 온 '겨울연가'와 함께 윤석호PD의 계절연작으로 역시 일본에서 큰 관심을 받고 있는 '봄의 왈츠'의 캐스팅된 것에 기쁨을 감추지 못하고 있다.

최자혜는 "그동안 귀엽고 옆집동생 같은 발랄한 이미지를 보여줬지만 이번 '봄의 왈츠'를 통해서는 사랑연기에 도전하는 성숙한 여성으로서 새로운 매력을 드러내고 싶다"고 당차게 밝혔다. tekim@mtstarnews.com

awww...the little children actors look so cute...especially the little girl. but it definitely looks like drama, drama, drama, from the get go. this one looks like it's going to be heavier--way much more serious than those in the past...i don't know...anyways...the little child actors seem to be carrying off their roles very well. gosh i hope it's not like those other kdramas where the beginning w/ the little child actors are really good then all goes down from there...like glass slippers...you fall in love with the children's storyline, but then the adults come in and complicate and screw it all up...hope that's not the case...ok...well that was my 2 cents...anyway...we'll see how spring waltz goes.

최시원, '봄의 왈츠' 합류..최자혜와 연상연하 커플

[머니투데이 스타뉴스 김태은 기자] 가수 겸 탤런트 최시원이 윤석호 PD의 계절연작 완결편 KBS2 '봄의 왈츠'에 합류했다.

최시원은 오는 3월 6일 첫방송되는 '봄의 왈츠'에서 극중 은영(한효주 분)의 20살 동생 상우 역을 맡아 은영의 친구인 26살 미정(최자혜 분)과 연상연하 커플 연기를 펼치게 된다.

또 반항적인 사고뭉치였지만 뮤지컬 배우를 꿈꾸는 미정의 오디션에 따라갔다가 캐스팅이 되면서 극에 새로운 재미를 주게 된다.

'봄의 왈츠'의 제작사인 윤스칼라 관계자는 "드라마 내용이 조금 변화되며 2월 중순 최시원과 최자혜를 뒤늦게 캐스팅하게 됐다"며 "윤석호 PD가 생각하는 상우의 이미지에 맞아 떨어져 최시원이 이 역을 맡게 됐다"고 밝혔다.

한편 지난해 KBS2 '열여덟 스물아홉'에서 류수영의 아역으로 데뷔해 눈길을 끈 최시원은 같은해 11월 슈퍼주니어 멤버로 가수로까지 영역을 넓혔다. 중국 유학을 거쳐 한중일합작 영화 '묵공'에 출연하기도 했다. 오는 3월 인하대 연극영화학과에 장학생으로 입학한다. tekim@mtstarnews.com

Like somebody mentioned before, he will be playing Hyo Joo's brother.

It says Choi Si Won and Choi Jahye are going to be coupled together. They're going to play out the older woman, younger guy couple!! She's around 6 years older than him in real life.

Now I actually have a guy in the cast that I like!!

can't wait for this drama. a lotta people don't like the male lead but i don't think he's that bad looking and the part about him being too skinny, he's not that skinny. i think it's just because he's so tall. judging by these pics he's even taller than daniel and daniel is very tall. some people are not very photogenic in stilled pictures. hopefully he'll look better in the drama. i'm positive.

TV Drama "Spring Waltz" Sold in 8 Countries

KBS TV's Monday-Tuesday miniseries "Spring Waltz" directed by Yun Seok-ho has been sold in eight countries before it airs in Korea. This drama is the last installment of Yun's "four-season drama series."

In a press interview held on the afternoon of Feb. 20, Park In-taek, president of Yoons Color, the production agency of "Spring Waltz," said, "We have signed export contracts with eight regions, such as Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. We are also conducting negotiations with the United States, Austria, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar."

Park also said, "Holding the full copyrights, the production agency is in charge of the domestic and overseas sales of 'Spring Waltz.' Earnings from the copyright will be shared with KBS. We have already secured the production costs, amounting to nearly 5 billion won, through pre-sales of the drama."

"Spring Waltz" starring Han Hyo-joo, Suh Do-young, Daniel Henney and Lee So-youn will air starting from Mar. 6.
