I thought it was "Spring Waltz".. why is the background still winter?

For all those people saying that Han Hyo Joo doesn't have enough experience and is too young.. Song hye kyo was the same age as her when she did "Autumn Tale".

I don't know if I'll watch this though.. I'm getting tired of these melodramas where someone dies, or loses their memories, or whatever other unrealistic problems..

maybe its one of those flashback scenes or the scenes that show how they met etc then fastforward a couple years later

'봄의 왈츠' 한효주 "뜻밖의 행운, 실감 안나요"

"처음엔 멍했어요. 오스트리아행 비행기를 탈 때까지 몇번이나 '저, 진짜 오스트리아 가요?'라고 물었다니까요."

이제 19살. '신데렐라' 한효주는 뜻밖의 행운이 실감이 안났다고 했다. '한류의 진원'으로 꼽히는 윤석호 PD(현 윤스칼라 대표)의 계절시리즈 완결편 '봄의 왈츠'의 여주인공 은영 역으로 발탁된 순간, 정신을 차릴 수가 없었다고 했다.

지난해 12월22일 한시간 동안 윤석호 PD와 미팅을 가진 후 23일 캐스팅 통보를 받은 한효주는 29일 SBS '가요대전' 시상식에 참석한 직후인 30일 오스트리아행 비행기에 올랐다. 캐스팅 이후의 시간 동안에는 왈츠와 대본 연습을 했다.

"생각지도 못했던 일이 벌어지니까 믿기지가 않았어요. 비행기에 올라 1회 대본을 쭉 읽다보니 점점 정신이 들면서 실감이 나기 시작하더라구요. 그러면서 서서히 부담감도 밀려오구요. 오스트리아에서 4, 5일 지내고 나니 서서히 적응이 되가더라구요. 제가 좀 적응이 빠르거든요.(웃음)"

열흘 남짓 '혼란, 부담, 적응'의 급격한 변화를 겪었다는 한효주는 다니엘 헤니, 서도영, 이소연 등의 배우들, 제작진과 시종일관 화기애애한 분위기에서 즐겁게 로케이션 촬영을 마쳤다고 했다.

"윤석호 PD께서 밝고 순수한 점이 많은 것이 은영이라는 캐릭터와 닮았다고 보셔서 발탁하셨대요. 특히 해맑게 웃는 모습이 마음에 드셨다고 했는데, 저는 대본을 보고 씩씩하고 억척스러운 캐릭터라고만 생각해서 시행착오를 겪기도 했어요. 윤석호 PD의 계절시리즈를 관통하는 공통된 캐릭터는 밝으면서도 여성스러운 여주인공이었는데 그러한 맥락을 찾지 못해 애를 먹기도 했죠."

한국으로 돌아온 후 한효주는 윤석호 PD의 계절시리즈 전작 '가을동화' '겨울연가' '여름향기'를 차례로 떠올리며 다시금 캐릭터 분석에 들어갔다고 했다.

"'가을동화'는 제가 개인적으로 가장 인상깊게 봤던 드라마에요. 중학생 때라 그냥 감정이입을 하면서 봤는데, 송혜교씨가 지금 저와 비슷한 나이에 그런 연기를 했다는 것이 대단하게 느껴져요. '여름향기'는 손예진씨가 그려낸 이미지가 참 예뻤고, 색감들이 다 좋았던 것 같아요."

특히 '겨울연가' DVD를 구해 여주인공 최지우의 눈빛까지 한컷한컷 세심하게 보며 연구를 했다고. 그러나 스스로만의 '은영'을 만들기 위한 노력도 게을리하지 않겠다는 뚝심을 보였다.

"최지우씨 연기를 보니 존경스럽고 대단하다고 느껴지더라구요. 제가 직접 연기를 체험해보니 선배들의 연기에 감탄사가 나와요. 전작의 주인공분들이 초반에는 밝다가 점차 갈등에 의해서 여성스러운 성격으로 변해가던데, 그런 모습을 배워야하긴 하지만 좀 더 씩씩한 모습으로 그들과는 다르게 보이고 싶어요."

교육도시 청주에서 태어나 교사인 어머니를 따라 교육가를 꿈꾸었던 한효주는 우연한 기회에 인터넷으로 응모한 의류브랜드 모델에 발탁되면서 연기자의 길을 걷게 됐다. 생각보다 너무 빨리 스포트라이트를 받게 됐지만 한효주의 꿈은 더욱 야무지다.

"강혜정, 이나영 선배처럼 되고 싶어요. 연기하시는 거 보면 자기만의 연기스타일이 드러나거든요. 틀에 매이지 않고 자연스럽게 자유스럽게 연기하는게 보여서 참 좋아요. 저도 그렇게 하고 싶구요."

'봄의 왈츠'의 한효주, "비슷하지만 달라요!"

신예 스타 한효주씨가 다음달 6일 첫 방송되는 KBS 드라마 '봄의 왈츠'에서 주연을 맡아 관심을 모으고 있는데요, 최근 오스트리아에서 해외 촬영을 마치고 돌아온 한효주씨를 만났습니다.

한류 드라마 제조기 윤석호 감독이 차세대 한류 스타를 예약했습니다.

윤석호 감독은 계절 시리즈의 완결편인 '봄의 왈츠'에서 한효주를 내세워 아시아의 시청자를 사로잡을 예정입니다.

'가을 동화'의 송혜교, '겨울 연가'의 최지우, '여름 향가'의 손예진에 이어 바통을 넘겨받은 한효주는 어깨가 무겁지만 신세대답게 자신감 넘치는 모습을 보입니다.

Q) 기존 계절 시리즈의 주인공들과 다른 점은?

A) "비슷하면서 달라요. 윤석호 감독님이 항상 만들어내시는 여성 캐릭터가 그렇게 크게 달라지지는 않는 것 같아요. 큰 맥락은 같았던 것 같아요. 세 작품의 여주인공이 순수하고, 밝고 다 있었잖아요. 그런 점들은 은영이랑 똑같은 거 같아요. 은영이는 청순가련보다는 씩씩한..."

Q) 실제 성격은?

A) "처음에는 똑같은 은영인줄 알았어요. 저는 밝고 잘 웃고 그런 점이 은영이랑 비슷한데, 은영이는 저보다 여성스럽고, 저보다 나이도 많고..."

지난해 7월 MBC '논스톱 5'에 단역으로 출연했다 네티즌의 뜨거운 반응을 얻어 고정 출연하는 행운을 얻었던 한효주. 불과 7개월 만에 훌쩍 커버렸지만, 아직 시작에 불과합니다.

Q) 달라진 점은?

A) "처음과 달라진 거는 없어요. 달라진 걸 꼽으라면 조금의 마음의 여유?"

'봄의 왈츠'에서 다니엘 헤니와 호흡을 맞추고 있는 한효주는 많은 도움을 받고 있다며 겸손한 모습을 보입니다.

Q) 다니엘 헤니에 대해.

A) "다니엘 헤니씨도 한국어를 잘하세요. 알아들어요. 영어와 한국어를 섞어가며, 다니엘 헤니는 여유로움이 있는 모든 면에서 여유로움이 묻어나오는 배우 같아요. 저한테 도움을 많이 줬어요."

MBC '논스톱 5'에서는 타블로, '봄의 왈츠'에서는 다니엘 헤니와 연인으로 출연하는 한효주에게 실제 이상형에 대해 물어봤습니다.

Q) 이상형은?

A) "좋아하는 남성스타일? 자기 일에 열정적인 사람. 일에 몰두해서 무언가를 만들어내는 사람."

대작 드라마의 주연을 맡았지만 한효주에게는 신인답지 않은 여유로움이 묻어났습니다. 얼마 전 안면도에서 진행된 화보 촬영에서는 개구리를 보며 즐거워하는 모습을 보였습니다.

Q) 동물을 좋아하나?

A) "개구리 만지고 있는 게 동물을 되게 좋아해요. 개구리뿐만 아니라 동물을 좋아해요. 키우고는 싶은데 아직 제가 어리고 동물을 키울만한 능력이 안돼서..."

인터뷰 도중 피아노 실력을 발휘하는데요, 드라마를 위해 배웠다고 털어놓습니다.

Q) 피아노를 치는 이유는?

A) "제가 왜 배웠느냐면 클레멘타인과 큰 연관이 있어요."

Q) 시청자에게 한마디.

A) "'봄의 왈츠' 들어가기 시작했으니까, 끝날 때까지 최선을 다하겠습니다."

Seriously... although song hye gyo's acting was flat at certain times, she did an overall good job and gah eul donghwa catapulted her to stardom. It might possibly do the same thing for hyojoo. What the director was saying that big budget dramas should make stars not that other way around. Although the age of the melodrama is over (its more about the contract dramas these days)

I can't imagine this one being any worse than Summer Scent, though. it's not that i dislike Han Hyo Joo, she is pretty and very likeable... just question her acting. from what i've seen, she's not that good~ all the other leading ladies in the season dramas had more experience than she did.

ok...ok..spring waltz...let me digest this for a minute. i did see "autumn" in its abridged version and "winter" in its entirity. now, i did skip out on "summer," but "spring," i hope its good. spring is my season so it has to be good...hehehe...well let's just wait and see. i know the director and producers and the cast must all be under a lot of pressure. they have so much to live up to. well here's to "spring" that it may be better than "summer," but not as good as "winter" (i'm a bit bias here...hehehe... )

I haven't enjoyed any of the seasonal dramas, but I'm giving this one a chance because I happen to be a huge fan of Hyo Joo. Even if her acting disappoints, if the story is good, then I'm going to continue watching the drama.

hahah... me too. except, i loved Autumn Tale and Winter Sonata. I said this before, but it doesn't hurt to say it again. Song Hye Gyo started off the same way as Han Hyo Joo. Their ages at the start of their season dramas are pretty much the same. SHG was probably... barely 20. And HHJ is not 20 yet either. The two both had sitcom roles. Hyo Joo was in a music video and also got a pretty big role in an upcoming movie.

And so, that doesn't put her far from SHG.

Besides, I don't mind having new faces as leads in a drama ^^ I think this one might get better ratings than the 'summer scent' one. I hated 'Summer Scent.'
