Proved once again the power of 'Box-office Queen' to 800 million topped the movie "Pirates" [Kim, Jin - Sung Creative Bloomberg News] Actress Son Ye-jin is representative Chungmuro.

Was this: 'bandit pirates went to sea' (director, production yiseokhun Mao Hari Pictures, hereinafter referred to as 'pirates') Integrated Computer Network Based Film Council building around 9:00 am on the 10th day, the cumulative attendance only 800've avoided investing, distributor Lotte Entertainment has released the official movie .

Right to exercise dwitsim the holidays once again and occupied 800 million even notice all entered the opening 36 days 'Pirates' is. Thus, even the audience dongwonryeok of the heroine of the movie is being poured Son Ye-jin spotlight.

The brilliant acting skills with the sword, with the charisma Pirates fractional yeowol in 'Pirates' Son Ye-jin is. The figures focus on their own vocation as a pirate and beauty combine to.

The Son Ye-jin is a 'Pirates' first action after his debut water challenges. He will show the difficult action scenes, including a sword, a wire in this movie.

Such a transformation of Son Ye-jin was also sending the eyes of some concern. Son Ye-jin, mainly because it was stamped with innocent whilst the expectation does not go well with the character and movie roles atmosphere feedback.

Son Ye-jin longer feel the burden this was also true. The creative and Son Ye-jin in the Bloomberg interview with former opening was "'Pirates' was uncomfortable clothes" and put off the bar complaint. But he said, "I think that eopeotjiman previously de 'future naolkka this character' was more greedy" and "decided to mind that 'once and see'," he said.

Has demonstrated the fighting spirit, such as the digestive action of a thin clothing in cold weather, and so is jaksim Son Ye-jin. Eventually led to the box office success of the movie and I'm sure the effort is Son Ye-jin. Was to dispel the concerns surrounding his Son Ye-jin is Invigorating.

Son Ye-jin after the 2003 movie classic 'success' A Moment to Remember "(2004, 256 million)," The Art of Seduction "(2005, 234 million)" My Wife Got Married "(2008, 179 million)' eerie love 'through (2012, 518 million) and the like Chungmuro actresses cast show off and audiences steadily dongwonryeok' (2011, 300 million), "tower has reigned as 0 ratings.

While his best heunghaengjak is more to the here 'pirate' audience has grown to mobilize actors Son Ye-jin is only 3000 career.

Why should I pay attention to more plays in Son Ye-jin 'Islands: minran of age' and compete with the big four 'summer theater hero' myeongryang 'sea fog' like everyone was an actor Kang Dong Ha, choeminsik ryuseungryong, due to the fact that gimyunseok Shared On Facebook The. Good grades in naetdaneun fixed on in reality actresses in Chungmuro famine that has important implications for the performance of Son Ye-jin.

Son Ye-jin is a sequel of 'Miss Blush' bokgwijak yigyeongmi director of "happiness filled the house. Turn matchwotdeon breathing again breathing in "My Wife Got Married" with Son Ye-jin is gimjuhyeok.

In the normal position of the note is not to expand any active gwichu In the next move, which does not neglect the action spectrum is steadily neolhimyeo Son Ye-jin.

South Korean 'The Pirates' follows Hollywood formula

By Martin Tsai

September 11, 2014 | 6:19 p.m.

South Korean blockbuster "The Pirates" seems to have looted its formulaic plot directly from Hollywood. It's a derivative trove of swashbuckling action, romance, comedy, special effects and revisionist history — the kind of film that would be pitched to studio execs as "Pirates of the Caribbean" meets "Free Willy."

Why "Free Willy"? Because in 1388, at the dawn of the Joseon dynasty, a royal seal bestowed by the Chinese Ming dynasty is swallowed by a whale after a shipwreck. To evade punishment, the envoys claim they were under siege from pirates, while offering a large under-the-table bounty for the capture of the whale.

Four rival search parties sharing some unfinished business with one another all covet this lucre. Principled pirate Yeo-wol (Son Ye-jin) faces off against her ruthless mentor, Soma (Lee Kyeong-yeong); deserter-turned-bandit Jang Sa-jung (Kim Nam-gil, channeling Johnny Depp) faces off against his treasonous former chief, Mo Heung-gap (Kim Tae-woo). Through it all, Yeo-wol and Sa-jung meet cute and play hard to get.

When Yeo-wol spots the whale's newborn calf, her maternal instincts kick in and she hesitates to go for the kill. The nautical rat race leading up to the film's conclusion, however, can feel strained. Scenes of comic relief inexplicably pop up to stall an impending fight scene. A village gets unnecessarily pillaged just for exposition. Things get blown up because the characters happen to get their hands on imported grenades.

------------

"The Pirates."

MPAA rating: None.

Running time: 2 hours, 10 minutes.

Playing: At CGV Cinemas, Los Angeles.

Son Yejin uses steamed towels for her face. She places the towel on her face for one minute to open the pores and massages her forehead, below the cheekbones, and jaw through the towel. After using exfoliants, she closes the pores by washing with ice water with lemon slices.

Son Ye Jin ('Summer Scent', 'Shark') and Han Ga In ('Yellow Handkerchief', 'The Moon that Embraces the Sun')--two doe-eyed ladies known for their innocent charm. Setting the standards of Korean conventional beauty, they have a pure, sweet, good-girl image that makes guys head over heels for them. They prove themselves to be versatile actors, however, who can sometimes turn the switch and play the good-girls-gone-bad.

The up-and-coming Kim So Hyun has a similar wide-eyed look, but is also known to play sassy diva roles. Like her predecessors, she can be just as versatile despite her young age. Don't let those innocent eyes fool you because there's an energy in them that can go from sweet to sinister in a second.

class="headline"Film Review: The Pirates class="subheadline"For the undemanding, like Korean mass audiences who reportedly have made this the most-seen film in their history, this will serve.

Sept 12, 2014

-By David Noh

filmjournal/photos/stylus/1407978-Pirates_Md.jpg

Coming fast and furious after the historical adventure epics, The Admiral: Roaring Currents and Kundo: Age of the Rampant, The Pirates is the latest swashbuckling Korean crowd-pleaser. Set during the late 14th century Joseon dynasty, it involves a precious golden seal which is devoured by a giant whale. Out to obtain it at any cost are a crew of pirates, with a female leader Yeo-wol (Son Ye-jin), their rival band of cutthroats led by her former comrade So-aa (Lee Kyeong-yeong), a bunch of bandits headed by former soldier Sa-jung Jang (Kim Nam-gil) and the buffonish Chul-bong (Yoo Hae-jin), and official military forces helmed by Jang's old enemy, Mo Hong-gab (Kim Tae-woo). These differing factions regularly collide and combust in boisterously repetitive fight scenes which form the crux of this breathlessly exhausting adventure.

Long on muscle, short on gray matter, this genre piece directed by Lee Seok-hoon is nothing new under the Korean sun, filled as it is with grunting machismo—on the part of both male and female cast members—and the aforementioned violent scenes of brawling. It's as lavishly produced and impressively populated as the other costly entries in its field and has been quite as popular on its home turf, proving that, for many, these movies are truly beyond criticism.

The scenes involving that humongous whale, however, are done with jaw-dropping skill, as we see Yeo-wol communing with the gigantic beast underwater. The whale manages to give the most moving performance in the film, as the other cast members are proficient enough without memorably breaking out of the preordained confines of their rotely imagined characters.
