Son Ye Jin currently stars in the adventure film "The Pirates" and is considering a role in the upcoming drama "The King's Face." But if she takes the role of King Gwanghae's lover in that drama which actor will play her royal suitor?Son Ye Jin has had some amazingly talented and attractive co-stars in her career. Here are just a few pairings that sizzled with onscreen chemistry.
Song Seung Hoon: In "Summer Scent" she played a woman who gets a heart transplant and he played the man whose first love died and donated her heart. Although she does not know why, her heart beats a little faster when they meet. The lovers were destined to meet and they looked so good together when they did.
Lee Min Ho: In "Personal Taste," she's a woman desperate for a roommate to solve her financial woes. She thinks he's gay, thus making him an ideal non-threatening candidate and he has his reasons for making her believe that. She falls in love with him even though she thinks they have no future. They have some great romantic scenes together.
Jung Woo Sung: In the film "A Moment To Remember," she plays a woman with Alzheimer's disease and he plays her devoted husband. It's a tragic and tender story of loss and acceptance. Audiences approved of this entirely believable couple, as the film was a major success in Korea and Japan.
Lee Min Ki: In the horror rom com film "Spellbound," Lee Min Ki plays a magician who falls for a woman who sees ghosts. But there was nothing spectral about their chemistry.
Bae Yong Joon: In the film "April Snow" Son Ye Jin got to explore a relationship with the original Hallyu flower boy Bae Yong Joon. In the film they play two people who are married but discover their spouses are having an affair with each other. These betrayals lead them to seek comfort in each other. The film was a box office success in several Asian countries.
Kim Nam Gil: Son Ye Jin has now co-starred with Kim Nam Gil in a drama and a film. He played her first love in the melodrama Shark. In that drama he lost her to the man she married, played by Ha Suk Jin. But in their current film "The Pirates" he has another chance to romance her. The two make such an attractive couple that it prompted dating rumors, which they denied.
It will be hard to top these attractive and talented leading men. Who do you think she should next co-star with?

Son Ye Jin's Attractive Leading Men

I like Lee Min Ki and Kim Nam Gil as her leading men because they have very good chemistry with her even off screen. LMK used to say he wanted to like her as his character in the movie chilling romance. KNG, as you all see, he seems to care for her a lot. I hope her next drama would rate #1. <3<3<3

I'm not too sure about Lee Min Ki because I didn't watch any BTS of chilling romance, but I totally agree on her off-screen chemistry with KNG. They have been cast together in two consecutive projects (how rare is that in dramaland!) and I'd hate to see them breaking the combo. =))
But I'd really like to see her reunite with Cha Tae-Hyun in a romcom.

Chemistry : of course with Kim Nam Gil !But they have alreay worked twice .

SO I prefer Song Seung Hoon for her but sharing a great kissig scene this time because in Summer Scent there was not even a kiss.

Sharks & Pirates! Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin Reunite

The Korean summer movie “Pirates“ comes out this week, starring Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin. Does this pairing sound familiar? “Shark,” one of the dramas nominated for the Seoul International Drama Awards, was the previous collaboration of these actors, which aired from May to July of last year. It was also part of a revenge trilogy directed by Park Chan Hong partnered with screenwriter Kim Ji Woo, the brilliant minds behind “Resurrection“ (2005) and ”The Devil” (2007).

“Shark” is probably one of many dramas that is underrated domestically but gains a reasonable fandom internationally. The leading character, Han Yi Soo comes from the middle class and struggles to help his father make a living while taking care of his younger sister. After his family settles a high profile agreement with the Gaya Hotel Group, also the family of his first love Jo Hae Woo, Yi Soo’s father is mysteriously murdered. Narrowly escaping death, Yi Soo disappears – only to return some years later to avenge his father.

This show is filled with numerous symbolistic elements. It is essentially the retold story of a character from ancient Greek mythology, Orpheus. The latter grieves over his wife’s death, Eurydice, and travels to the Underworld to retrieve her only to lose her again in the end. With this legend in mind, it is interesting to see the entire cast in “Shark” portraying their respective characters in a living hell.

Detailed and brutal murder scenes, hidden identities, facial reconstruction, mafia, dirty policemen – this drama has it all and almost every element implemented in this show carries important ties to the show’s premise. The soundtrack is quite pleasant but may feel repetitive in some episodes.

For those living in the US and Canada, this series is also available under its alternate title, “Don’t Look Back: The Legend of Orpheus,” on Soompi’s sister site KDrama!

Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin’s new movie, “Pirates,” will be released on August 6th in South Korea and has already been sold to an additional 15 countries at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
