[News] Jang Keun Suk’s history museum that is currently being held breaks the 10,000 visitor mark!
“COMEON Jang Keun Suk WORLD [ZIKZIN PLANET]”, an exhibition which shows the path JKS walked as an entertainer is now being held at LUMINE 0 in Tokyo. On September 24 a ceremony to honor its 10,000th visitor was held.

 

In the ceremony, two Jang Keun Suk’ fans representing all the visitors and a costume character of “Suni”, Jang Keun Suk’s pet dog that is well known among his fans, broke open a paper ball and celebrated the special occasion with other fans at the venue. The fans who broke open the paper ball came all the way from Osaka to attend the exhibition. They said they love Jang Keun Suk’ voice and great acting skills. They also talked about his charm such as his efforts to convey his messages using the Japanese language. They said they feel his sincerity.

Jang Keun Suk is currently engaging in alternative military service. This exhibition prepared for fans who have been waiting for his return provides a space where attendants can feel Jang Keun Suk by using the five senses as well as look back on his past activities with various exhibits such as his photographs and stage costumes. The exhibition is now catching on with its visitors.

Also on Twitter fans have been actively tweeting (the highlights of ZIKZIN PLANET, their feedback, memories of JKS and his charms) with the hashtag #Jang Keun Suk _ZPLANET. Not only fans who visited the exhibition but also fans across the nation are enjoying this special event.

[News] Who will get the 304 Government Awards from the Pyeonghang Winter Olympics?
One year and six months after the end of the Olympic Games, the first ceremony of citation was held at the Prime Minister’s residence on Sep. 25th. More than 30 people including Gangwon-Do’s selected civil servants and related agencies will attend the second ceremony of citation on the 27th.

 

Following the success of hosting the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Gangwon Do Province will receive 304 (30.2%) among the 1006 government awards, including 34 Order of Merits, 42 Order of Honor, 53 Presidential Medals, and 175 Prime Minister medals. The number of the award-winners to attend the ceremony of citation is greatly reduced so that only 38 award-winners can attend the ceremony of citation.

Jin Yongzhe, a former spokesperson for the International Cooperation of the Gangwon-do Hall, and the Korean Hallyu Star Jang Keun Suk, who was appointed as the Honorary Ambassador of Pyeongchang Olympics and Paralympics, will be awarded the Order of Sports Merits for Citizens.

The second ceremony of citation will be held at 2 pm on the 27th at the Seoul Plaza Hotel.

[Interview from JPrime ]The moment Jang Keun Suk felt happy as an actor in his last leading drama before his enlistment
"This is a drama about the social satires between swindlers and prosecutors and the switch between two roles. Among them, you don’t even know if it is love that arises, love that comes from sympathy, or romantic friendship. The development of the plot is speedy. Above all, this is a drama that I am acting in. I think this is the charm of this drama.”
Jang Keun Suk (32) introduced the highlight of his work to us. Currently he is serving in the military. "Switch~ change the world with you" is his last leading drama before his enlistment. He plays a double role-Do Chan, the outstanding genius swindler and Jun Soo, the prosecutor who is well-behaved.
I posses both of these personalities inside me.
Jun Soo, who was chased by an organization due to an incident, lost consciousness after an accident. In order to cover his condition, the female prosecutor, Hara, found a swindler who looks like him , and agreed to help solve the case.

"If Jun Soo is a person who expresses his emotions in a limited time, then Ducan is a pure white canvas that can be portrayed by me so that people can see his pure and free-spirited characters. I have both personalities. Perhaps, some people don't think that I have some characters like Jun Soo in my personality. I only know that I like to be free and express my feelings directly.”

He said that when he was acting, he got addicted to each character, especially Do Chan.
"From the zero state to the transformation into a variety of roles (disguises), I felt very happy. Wearing a wig, being a guitarist, when disguising myself as a doctor, I even consulted medical terms and prescriptions. Besides, the action scene was not a cool attack, but the action of quick escape. I think this is a very different point from the previous TV series."

I feel blessed that I was both worried and thinking.

As to the tone of the voice, the expressions of eyes and the way of speaking, etc., Keun Chan has interpreted both roles excellently. In addition, Hara, who has an admiration for Jun Soo, and Do Chan, who is getting to care about Hara, the result of this triangular relationship is so much expected.

"The world views of my 20th and 30th generations are completely different. If my 20th generation is like a highway, the 30th generation seems to have the feeling of entering the fork of the mountain. It feels like you need to wait. Sometimes I have to stop and fight alone. At some point, every condition is fulfilled. Doesn’t it mean that we sometimes have to wait for a helping hand?”
