Kong Hyo-jin to make a special appearance in director Yi Keun-Woo's new film without compensation

Actress Kong Hyo-jin showed off her exceptional loyalty in friendship.

Multiple insiders in film industry informed TV Report, "Kong Hyo-jin will make a special appearance in director Yi Keun-Woo's new film, "Ambitious Project".

One of the insiders said, "Kong Hyo-jin, who worked together with director Yi Keun-Woo for movie 'Project 577', 2012, has made the decision to join the movie without any hesitation. While she is already famous for keeping loyalty in friendship, she accepted the offer happily to appear in the movie without any compensation".

"Ambitious Project" is a mockumentary or buddy film depicting the inside story of entertainment business surrounding an idol group. Lee Ji-hoon-II, an actor from the director's previous film, 'Project 577' has been cast as the leading role and is currently filming the movie.

Meanwhile, Kong Hyo-jin is also filming "Missing Child", a mystery thriller depicting a mom's four-day chase after her missing daughter and the nanny, who disappeared together without any trace.

Gong Hyo Jin Will Cameo In 'Ambitious Project'

Gong Hyo Jin will deliver an unpaid cameo in the upcoming film, "Ambitious Project." According to an article published by the Korean outlet TV Report, the 35-year-old actress will appear in "Ambitious Project," without receiving monetary compensation.

According to statements provided by industry insiders, the star agreed to provide a cameo in the comedic film because she is friends with the director, Lee Keun Woo.

 "Gong Hyo Jin worked with director Lee Keun Woo on the 2012 movie, "Project 577," said an unnamed insider. "She made the decision to join the film [Ambitious Project] without hesitating." 

The article went on to note that Gong is highly-regarded for her loyalty and willingness to participate in projects that are led by her friends. 

"Ambitious Project" stars Lee Ji Hoon and Park Jong Hwan. The film provides a satirical perspective on the Korean entertainment industry, particularly as it affects a K-pop idol group. 

"Project 577" served as the directorial debut for Lee Keun Woo, who is also credited with acting in the 2011 film, "The Client." 

Gong Hyo Jin recently starred in KBS's docu-drama, "Producer." Her role in the series followed her critically-acclaimed portrayal of Ji Hae Soo, a psychiatric medical intern in "It's Okay, That's Love." While her next drama role has yet to be announced, she will portray Han Mae in the 2016 film, "Missing Child."
