South Korean heartthrob Lee Byung Hun announced the good news by releasing an official statement this morning. The G.I. Joe actor will tie the knot with actress Lee Min Jung at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul on Aug 10.
In his statement, Byung Hun said that he will continue to improve himself as an actor and try his best to be a good husband. He also expressed his wish for fans to continue supporting the couple.
Byung Hun and Min Jung broke up in 2006 and the 42-year-old opened up about their short-lived romance on a variety show. He explained that it did not work out back then as Min Jung was “just starting out” in showbiz and because he had “many” overseas work commitments.
Although rumours of them dating surfaced again early last year, the couple only publicly acknowledged their relationship in August. In his message to fans, Byung Hun called the actress “the most precious person” in his life. The lovebirds have been dubbed as the “Power Couple” in the Korean entertainment industry since going public.

class="content-title" Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung’s 7-year Movie-like Past Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung’s 7-year Movie-like Past

Actor Lee Byung Hun (42) and actress Lee Min Jung (31) have had a movie-esque seven-year history.

It hasn’t been too long since the acting power couple announced their marriage. It’s only been a year since they announced their courtship, but what is the story behind how they met to setting the date of their wedding?

Where they first met, seven years ago…

It was 2006 when Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung first met. Lee Byung Hun was already a veteran top-star status actor and Lee Min Jung was a rookie trying to get her foot in the entertainment industry.

The two were introduced by acquaintances but their happiness together was short lived due to the reality of their profession. In an interview on the the SBS talk show “Healing Camp,” Lee Byung Hun confessed, “Lee Min Jung was just starting to get some work and I was working all the time… it was really difficult to find time to meet, so we broke up.”

An exciting reunion five years later…

Five years later, after the hard breakup, the stars finally aligned for the two actors. Lee Min Jung made star status after receiving praise for her work in the 2012 SBS drama, “Smile, You,” and KBS’ “Boys Before Flowers,” and became nominated for acting awards. It was at the award ceremony that the two met again and the fire rekindled.

It was when Lee Byung Hun finished filming the Hollywood blockbuster, “G.I. Joe 2,” that the two actors starting dating again. “Lee Min Jung appeared in my dreams,” said Lee Byung Hun on “Healing Camp,” as the actor continued to give details on how the couple got back together.

The predestined wedding…

After the couple announced their courtship, paparazzi took a picture of Lee Min Jung entering Lee Byung Hun’s parents’ home.
Thereafter, the picture made headlines, so both the representing agencies for the actors released a statement saying that the two will most likely wed in 2013.

It was no secret that the two were busy dating all over the world, be it the U.S., Korea or Japan. Lee Eun Hee, sister of Lee Byung Hun even said that the two were doing great, ever confirming that a wedding was imminent.

In the end, just like in the movies, the couple lives happily ever after, and announced the date of their wedding.

The Korean version poster looks as if the same as RED 2 poster but not quite. Byunghun's position is switched with Helen Mirren and in the background, image of Han's private jet is more prominent. ^^

The captures from the YSTARnews clip are starting to come out but there're also other features on Ent. Weekly, SBS and MBC ent. news programs over the weekend highlighting the LBH-LMJ wedding news.
Hope we'll have the clips to watch later. ^^ The YSTARnews .. the media seemed persistent and already asking about wedding preparation. LOL.. Byunghun was just returning home, obviously he didn't say much but he smiled a lot. wub2.gif

A lot of media news highlighted LBH's home.. where the couple used to meet and date secretly. Also speculation where they'd be living after the wedding. Some say BH's Gwangju house is being modified while some say they will have a new house somewhere else. But the house he has now.. the one always been featured is actually really nice. Saw on LBH's 20th Anniversary DVD, there's a swirling staircase in his house that goes up to his private portion of the house.. where he has the coffee bar and mini theatre, if not mistaken as well as the spacious living room where he kept all the awards and memorabilias.

It's really sweet what BH did for the ystarnews reporter (the one in blue tee).. who has been waiting at the airport and asking questions to Byunghun-ssi although he did not answer, only smiled at her.
He probably knew the reporter and felt bad for not answering any questions, just before getting in the car, BH specifically held the reporter's hand as his acknowledgement.
Hope mistymorning can enlighten us on this later.. hehee..

It's been belatedly reported on June 10 that celebrity couple Lee Byung Hun & Lee Min Jung have left for the US together on June 7, a day after LBH returned from Japan after the GI Joe: Retaliation promotion activities. It's believed that the two are taking a break together after they missed each other in Japan a fortnight ago. The secret trip was arranged and known only to the couple's closest aide before this.
However, both agencies could not confirm anything  It's said that LBH is to meet up with RED 2 officials in LA regarding the movie's upcoming release in July. While LMJ's agency could not confirm the actress' personal schedule.

'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Director Jon M. Chu is Returning for 'G.I. Joe 3'
by Ethan Anderton FirstShowing.net
For the most part, the wait for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which was originally slated for last summer, was worth it. While the 3D didn't necessarily do anything besides add some box office bucks to the bank roll at Paramount Pictures and MGM, the film was an absolute blast, mostly thanks to Dwayne Johnson, a man who seemingly has the power to reinvigorate almost any franchise. But director Jon M. Chu deserves plenty of credit for crafting some pretty damn impressive action sequences, even if Channing Tatum should have been included, and now Deadline reports he'll return for the next sequel in the toy-based franchise.
G.I. Joe: Retaliation has pulled in $365 million worldwide, so it's certainly a success. Here's hoping that the next sequel won't wipe the slate clean all over again like this last sequel. The only returning cast member from the first film was Tatum, and he didn't live past the first 10 or 15 minutes. Considering the positive reaction to Johnson's lead role and the inclusion of Bruce Willis as the original G.I Joe, you can bet that at least those two will come back. But Hasbro has to sell toys, so there's probably some more G.I. Joe's waiting in the wings to show up for the first time. Maybe this time Destro will get a crack at the villainous plot since Cobra took the lead in this last adventure. Either way, writers are currently being hired, and we'll be sure to keep you posted on any important developments. What do you want out of G.I. Joe 3?

Jon M. Chu Re-Enlisting To Helm ‘G.I. Joe 3′
BY MIKE FLEMING JR Deadline Hollywood
EXCLUSIVE: Paramount and MGM are making a deal with Jon M. Chu to direct another installment of G.I. Joe. It was Chu who essentially guided a do-over from 2009′s G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, and it wasn’t the easiest process. The film was refashioned with Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis as its core leads. Even then, Paramount pulled the film from its 2012 release calendar (to make it 3D and do some creative enhancements) and did the same with World War Z (to shoot a whole new third act). It looks like the studio’s gamble will pay off in both cases. G.I. Joe: Retaliation came out in March to gross $365 million globally, and WWZ is beginning to generate positive buzz after being prematurely written off because of its production issues, now that people are seeing it’s a good movie.
It’s early days, but I’ve heard that Skydance Productions will be back in as financing partner with Paramount. The studio is meeting with a short list of four writers and should set one shortly. Chu has certainly broadened his reach, taking the G.I. Joe job after helming two Step Up dance movies and the Paramount documentary Never Say Never: Justin Bieber, a $13 million budget film that grossed $73 million domestic. Chu is repped by WME and Principato Young Entertainment.
