Yeah, the rating is kinda depressing. But the rating doesn't mean everything. I believe, the rating would go higher and higher as more episodes are aired.

Oh... don't worry. The first episode looks interesting enough to me already. haha. Despite the fact that I'm a CR-LJW shipper, but I'm open to CR-LJH too. & from the feedback, it looks like their chemistry is pretty cute so far.

Ah!! The next episode sounds so interesting! I can't wait until my download finishes. Thank you poptartsgurl for the link!

^ I agree, once the plot starts moving, I'm sure there'll be more who will come to enjoy this drama.

[News] Chae Rim's "Powerful Opponents" Starts with 6.1% TV Rating

According to AGB Nielsen, the first episode of KBS2 drama "Powerful Opponents" records 6.1% nationwide TV rating. Prior to the broadcasting of this drama, the last episode of "Single Papa is Falling in Love" had 4.9% TV rating. The first episode of "Single Papa is Falling in Love" recorded 5.9% TV rating.

As to the other two dramas, "Lee San (MBC)" scores 28.4% and "I Love You (SBS)" has 7.0% TV ratings.

I watched the first episode on KBS website and I like CR's outstanding performance. Especially at the end, I feel happy for her role (Young Jin) being appointed as one of the new bodyguards in the Chungwadae rookie bodyguard inauguration ceremony but at the same time I feel bad for Young Jin when her family does not even show up in the ceremony.

Thanks for the opening ay_link! I really like the opening, it's really flashy and catchy.

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Just finished skimming through episode 1 (can't understand Korean). From what I see, I really like how they established all of the characters. I also like how the writers didn't start off the series with CR already being a bodyguard, we got to actually SEE her trying her best to prove herself (which subtlely adds to her character developement).

The first episode focuses on the CR-LJH pairing, and I have to say, they're pretty cute. Anyway, I can't wait until the next episode (CR-LJW finally meet).

I have to admit though, LJW's character is pretty reckless... but his smile is just adorable (ending scene anyone?)

anyway soo many caps! looks like it's so much fun like what you guys said. thanks for the opening credits and EP1 links. thank god i was able to make it through the bigfile haha.

as for the ratings. i have faith it will go up! i thought Lee San was set for 50 episodes? but it's already at 59 right? when is it gonna end. maybe ratings will go up when it ends... i really wish more people will watch it since it's good!

I feel the same.. The 1st episode is nicely written.. the base of each character is very clear making it a good start for the drama. From episode two on, the characters development will so much make sense. Though I am a rooter for LJW and CR pairing, I admit that CR and LJH make a pretty good couple...

Powerful Opponents will finish before Yi San; Yi San's extended to 76 episodes, its last episode will be aired on June 9.

On SBS, "I Love You" is originally scheduled to end on May 27 followed by the premiere of "Sikgaek / Gourmet" on June 2nd. Not wanting "Gourmet" to confront "Yi San", SBS is delaying "Gourmet" by airing a 4-episode drama "Tokyo Shower" (with singer IVY, Kim Sa-rang, Kim Tae-woo, Japanese actress Okuda Erika) after "I Love You" ends. Replacing "Yi San" is "When It's At Night" (Kim Sun-ah, Lee Dong-gun) starting on June 16th.
