Song Hye-kyo to star in "Bicha"?

Actress Song Hye-kyo mentioned that it wasn't the right timing for her to mention anything about her starring in the drama "Bicha".
Her agency told TV Report on the 7th, "We have read the script but we haven't organized or sorted out anything else".
Director Lee Hyeong-min also said, "We are surprised as the drama was made an issue about casting even before production. We have to consider the cast and we are careful to say anything at the moment".
About the formation about the drama, "It will be aired in the later half of the year in a ground wave company. The script has been made up to 2 parts and it's great fun as a mellow drama".

"Bicha" was created based on an original that came out in the year 2011. It is about the scientific concern in making the 'cart in the air' the forbidden love between two men and a woman during the Chosun times. It is written by In Jeong-ok who returns for the first time in 7 years since 2005 "Beating Heart".

Jo In-Seong and Song Hye-kyo teared up at the last scene.

SBS drama "That Winter, the Wind Blows" made its last scene on the 31st.

Five months since the first taking last year in November, everyone including Jo In-Seong, Song Hye-kyoand director Kim Kyoo-tae showed tears. They encouraged each other after all that hard work in the chilling cold.

A staff claimed, "The drama that never seemed to end is finally done. Song Hye-kyo and Jo In-Seongcouldn't stop crying when the final 'cut' sign was given and everyone cheered. Everyone else hugged each other and experienced movement".

"The final episode will be aired on the 3rd of April. We are working on the final bits of the final episode to end in success".

Song Hye-kyo, Kim Soo-hyeon-I and Hwang Jeong-min are reportedly starring in "House of Happiness", "Sado" and "Himalaya".

Their stories vary from one another.

Song Hye-kyo has been offered a role in "House of Happiness", a thriller by Park Chan-wook, which is about a woman whose daughter is kidnapped.

Kim Soo-hyeon-I also has been offered a position in "Sado", which is about the Prince Sado who was trapped and killed in a wooden chest by his father. Song Kang-ho is the latest addition to the cast. Kim Soo-hyeon-I is thinking it through and he will make confirmation once he's back from his Chinese fan meeting.

Hwang Jeong-min might star in "Himalaya", too. The movie was delayed once already and Kim Myeong-min gave up his role, so more sincerity is required to decide who will be the next main star. Hwang is also reportedly discussing another movie.

All agencies are claiming that media was too quick and that nothing has been officially settled yet.

Song Hye-kyo and Kang Dong-won showed how close they are.

The two of them starring in a film as a married couple appeared in an interview session in SBS "Movie World".

Song Hye-kyo said, "We have been friends so it was easy to work with him on site. We don't' care how we look in front of each other".

When they were asked if they pointed out each others' mistakes, Kang Dong-won said, "I don't remember but how would I? I've enough on my plate as well".

"My Brilliant Life" is about young mother and father Mi-ra and Dae-soo who have a son who ages faster than them. To be released on the 3rd of August.

Actors Song Joong-ki and Jin Goo, actresses Song Hye-kyo and Kim Ji-won-I are starring in the KBS 2TV drama "The Descendant of the Sun".

"The Descendant of the Sun" looks through the values of life through doctors and young soldiers who dream about love and success in a hostile environment. Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo take on the role of Special Forces dispatch troops leader Yoo Si-jin and attractive doctor Kang Mo-yeon.

Song Joong-ki is on National Duty until the 26th of May and after he has had time to fully prepare for the drama, he will join the team. Song Hye-kyo is currently known as the Hallyu Goddess in China for her outstanding acting skills and therefore, news of the two stars foresees a great response.

In addition, there's Jin Goo and Kim Ji-won-I who will take on the roles of Officer Seo Dae-yeong under Yoo Si-jin and army surgeon Yoon Myeong-joo.

Writer Kim Eun-sook who has mesmerized viewers with her trendy writing in "Lovers in Paris", "Lovers in Prague", "Secret Garden" and more, is collaborating with writer Kim Won-seok from "The Queen's Classroom".

"The Descendant of the Sun" is expected to have humanism that pounds the heart and be filmed in locations on a different scale.

"The Descendant of the Sun" will start production soon and be released in the later end of 2015.

Korean actress Song Hye-kyo's Hollywood debut film "Fetish" will open in local theaters on November 25, according to the film promoter's Sponge on Tuesday.

"Fetish", debut feature helmed by Sohn Soopum, is a psychological thriller about Sookhy (played by Song) who has supernatural powers to possess her neighbor's body in order to steal her husband.

The movie, featuring cast members Korean-American actor Rob Yang, Athena Currey and Arno Frisch, made its world premiere under the gala presentation category of the 13th Pusan International Film Festival in 2008 as well as being invited to German's Edinburgh International Film Festival and San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.

Son, 28, shot to fame throughout Asia after starring in KBS' hit TV series "Autumn in my Heart" (2000),"All In" (SBS, 2003) and "Full House" (KBS, 2004) alongside Asian pop star Rain.

She also appeared in drama "Worlds Within" (KBS, 2008) and made headlines for dating her co-starHyeon Bin. She has also done work on the big screen including "Hwangjin-y - Movie - 2007" and the Asian omnibus pic "Camellia" (2010).

Song Hye Kyo's film to open in Berlin

The Berlin International Film Festival will screen Song Hye-kyo's latest movie, "The Grandmaster", as its opening piece. 

The martial arts movie directed by Wong Kar-wai took five years to make and boasts some of the biggest names in Chinese cinema like Zhang Ziyi, Tony Leung, Chang Chen and Zhao Benshan.

The film is set against the backdrop of 1930s China and inspired by Yip Man, legendary grandmaster of the martial artist Wing Chun and master to Bruce Lee, about whom at least three films have been made.

"It is a special honor for us to open the 2013 Berlinale with the presentation of the newest film by this year's jury president, Wong Kar Wai", said the organizers on the festival Web site.

The world renowned film festival runs from Feb. 7-17.It is unknown whether Song will attend, as she is set to star in a drama early next year.

The 30-year-old actress will not be the only Korean in Berlin. Director Hong Sang-soo's latest work, "Nobody's Daughter Haewon", has also been invited.

[Song Hye-kyo's Chinese Epic Set for March Release in Korea]

"The Crossing", a Chinese epic drama from acclaimed Hong Kong filmmaker John Woo starring Song Hye-kyo, Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro, will hit Korean theaters in March. Woo spent four years making the film at a cost of W42 billion (US$1=W1,111).

Set in the 1940s, "The Crossing" is based on an actual incident: the 1949 sinking of the luxury passenger liner Taiping, which shuttled between China and Taiwan. 

The story revolves around three couples and their experiences of war, disasters and love over a period of 50 years.

Described as a Chinese version of "Titanic", the blockbuster is to be released in two parts. 

In China, part one of "The Crossing" was released on Dec. 2, setting a box-office record for the opening day. It is still drawing crowds. 

Part two is set to be released in China in May and in Korea in June.

Chinese movie, The Crossing, has topped box office results. With a cast that includes Zhang Ziyi (Crouching TIger Hidden Dragon) and Song Hye Gyo, the movie is filmed in 3D and directed by international famed director John Woo. The period drama depicts the fate of three couples interwoven in the times of turmoil in the late 1940s. It is inspired by a true story and has been hailed as the Chinese "Titanic". Watch the riveting trailer.

The Crossing took a year to film, and it included the construction of a replica of the Taiping luxury liner that met a tragic demise, taking the lives of over 1,000 passengers. Part one of the two-part epic film was released on December 2 in China to blockbuster results.

Leading actors from three countries play the three couples whose fates intersect In the movie. Song Hye Gyo plays an heiress who meets and falls for a Chinese general played by Huang Xiao Ming (Summer's Desire.) Zhang Ziyi plays a nurse who is in love with a soldier destined for the front lines. Takeshi Kaneshiro is a Taiwanese doctor who is drafted into the army and dreams of reuniting with his love, Masami Nagasawa.

Jackie Chan breezed into Udine, the town in northeastern Italy that hosts the Far East Film Festival, on Friday. It is the first time in its 17 year history that the specialist festival has welcomed East Asia’s most consistent movie star.

Chan, who only 24 hours earlier had handed out prizes at the closing ceremony of the Beijing festival, came in by private jet. That is an A-list extravagance that Udine has rarely seen before.
