Thanks twtwb for the beautiful write up...I'm your fan kiki . She is indeed a beautiful, classy, elegant lady . I still remember the day she went on stage and apologized for the tax issue, thought it wasn't her faults but she still took the whole responsibility...it was so heartbreaking and it was really disgusting and evil act from Jestina for bringing this up for drawing the public attention as this tax issue is her weakness...heck..I'm glad she is this strong woman with sense.

Thanks @utkimfor the documentary news (@rubylia, this is what the pic you sent me is about) .  Kyo will be the narrator for it and it's a 2-episode documentary.  First part will be aired on May 4 and the second part will be aired on May 11.  This documentary will tell the stories of children from Seoul National University Children's Hospital who are suffering from severe diseases.  Another beautiful and warm thing that Kyo is doing

Yay, looks like Kyo will appear in the June edition of Elle.  Elle teased on their weibo that a certain actress (with a taste of the Jeju Island beauty) will appear in their June edition and gave 3 clues to who that actress is: 1) her face value is high enough to make people scream 2) she appeared in DotS and 3) she has acted with many male gods before.

Hehe, definitely sounds like Kyo to me.  I guess that's the reason why she went to Jeju recently.  It was for this magazine shoot.  So excited and definitely looking forward to the beautiful pics and interview

wow its great news that SHK will grace Elle China again and so looking forward for KBS documentary with SHK, thanks so much everyone for the wonderful updates! with Elle China clues about their June 2016 covergirl, its no doubt that its SHK , thanks hclover96 for the update. the recent Jeju trip of SHK turns out to be not just pure vacation but looks like its for Elle photoshoot and based on their teaser video its seems SHK will be their summer goddess with Jeju beach as its backdrop , cant wait for this Elle issue for sure SHK will be gorgeous as ever!

Three issues about Song Hye-kyo's image rights

The battle between Song Hye-kyo and the jewelry brand J. Estina is intense. Song Hye-kyo sued J. Estina for using her image without notice in March and both sides are radical. The core of this situation is image rights.

As the issue got heated up, J. Estina claimed that it understands how Hallyu contents influences national finance and that it respects the actress and her company. However, that doesn't mean the issue has died down. Sports Dong A took a look at three issues related to this case.

- Production expense support means use of image without permission?

Song Hye-kyo used to model for J. Estina and the two signed a sponsor contract for "Descendants of the Sun" in October. J. Estina claims the contract states that scenes from the drama can be used offline. The contract was up in January but the contract was about supporting the drama expense so they claim it's fair.

J. Estina has deleted the pictures of Song Hye-kyo on its website and SNS.

The drama production claims J. Estina has no rights to the images of the cast. J. Estina has been warned to make adjustments but it didn't execute so legal actions are being considered.

- Re-signing of contract and production expense support

J. Estina supported the drama with 70 million won and not 100 million like it was initially known. J. Estina suggested expanding the contract in December that year but Song Hye-kyo refused. Therefore, the contract was terminated in the following January and J. Estina had to reduce the amount of money being sponsored as it only had two months to promote its products. Also, according to J. Estina, Song Hye-kyoshould only have worn products from J. Estina but she went against the contract and wore other items brought to her by her stylist. However, the official PPL product agreed by J. Estina and Song Hye-kyo is a necklace that Yoo Si-jin (Song Joong-ki) presents to Kang Mo-yeon. It was supposed to be revealed on the third episode. The necklace was overly exposed in the camera.

- The story behind the absurd talk about tax

Song Hye-kyo sued J. Estina for her image rights. J. Estina claimed this was morally disappointing then claimed that it has experienced more harm than good from the model because of the tax evasion issue.

However, according to Song Hye-kyo, J. Estina has been asking to use Song Hye-kyo's pictures in department stores in China and duty free stores when their contract was only limited to Korea. Song Hye-kyo agreed to this. But after recent events, J. Estina tried to make a deal of re-signing the model contract or it is going to reveal the amount of harm it experienced thanks to the tax issue.

Previously, J. Estina has claimed that sales went up tremendous amounts thanks to Song Hye-kyo.

Chinese fans have started a boycott against J.Estina due to the jewelry brand's recent controversy involving Song Hye Kyo.

Song Hye Kyo fans and fans of the hit drama 'Descendants of the Sun' seem to have banded together to make a statement on social media. As in the below images, an online protest has started among Chinese fans, who are stating, "Apologize to Song Hye Kyo," and "Get out of China." 
Chinese netizens also expressed in comments, "J company is not ethical," "They have no consideration for the company's model," and "Let's boycott the brand from China."

As previously reported, Song Hye Kyo and J.Estina have been involved in a legal battle due to the brand's use of her image in advertisements. Though J.Estina reps claimed they had the right because of a contract with 'Descendants of the Sun', drama reps have come forward to state the brand should have made separate arrangements with Song Hye Kyo in order to use her image. 
 

J.Estina already made a final public statement, but it looks like there's still backlash to be dealt with. What are your thoughts on the situation?

finally I was able to watch KBS Entertainment Weekly featuring SHKs 20 year acting career history with English subtitle , love the way they praised her exceptional beauty ever since she was a child and how they presented her acting history from a rookie to a top actress. its a great video for SHK fans !

SHK as TV melodrama Queen and Queen of Trendy Dramas, see from 20 to 32 , in one portion Dr Song also said something about SHK!

I miss SHG and DOTS still. I love her acting in this show. The best part was the drunk acting and the moment of the show was her crying/grief sticken parts.  

I hope we get a peek of the Jeju - Elle photos soon. I am just happy that a lot of people are discovering/re-discovering SHG talent and beauty. And hopefully it will lead to good oppourtunities for her to showcase her talent. 

I just want J. Estina to make good on their word regarding settling fairly with SHG and clear up any damage they have done to her reputation. I love how fans have gathered and showed power and support. I hope they learn their lesson not to trample of artist's rights and reputation. I still am smarting on how they handled this issue with her.

I thought we'll see Kyo finally on tv, but she will only be a narrator in a documentary. Nonetheless, still happy because we'll get to hear her voice. She really has a beautiful heart, lending her voice for a wonderful documentary.
