its good that J Estina settled for this option at least for now SHK and her fans will have a peaceful mode without worrying about the outcome of this litigation if they continue to battle in court.  well the damage has been done and its just for SHK to demand apology and compensation for what they did to her. if only J Estina heed to the warning by New/DoTs production of their violation and settled for the exposure on DoTs as what they have agreed , this issue should have been avoided but then the "greed" for money of this company compels them to take advantage and worst they resort to dirty tactics by tarnishing SHK image , well at this point looks like it backfires to them and for sure they are super worried with SHKs fans boycotting their products , applause to SHKs fans all over the world for the support especially her Chinese and loyal Korean fans! now we can move on and look forward for SHKs upcoming activities and hope she will update her IG soon , its great to see love and support messages on her IG and here in soompi !

Jewelry brand 'J.Estina' makes final public statement regarding dispute with Song Hye Kyo

Jewelry brand J.Estina has made its final public statement regarding the dispute involving 'Descendants of the Sun' actress Song Hye Kyo.

On April 28, J.Estina released its final statement on the matter, which said, "The company has a lot of influence on the economy and Hallyu content, and we respect all the productions, actors, and businesses that work for those goals. Though we have little influence, we'll do our best for the progress of Hallyu."

The brand added, "We will no longer dispute our former brand model Song Hye Kyo's claims of image infringement in the media. We apologize for causing worry. We will promptly exchange sides with the other party and resolve this."

Just a few hours beforehand, J.Estina had revealed the contract they had with the 'Descendants of the Sun' drama, which allowed for the use of images and media from the series for advertisement. However, 'Descendants of the Sun' has spoken up against the jewelry brand, stating, "In the case that the brand decides to use images and video clips of the actress outside of the drama, they should request permission from the actress."

For me, I want SHK only to win the Artist of the Year.  

I will definitely boycott that company.  I will make sure my relatives and friends who stop over at Incheon Airport to not patronize or even look at that company products.

I don't trust the way Allkpop writes their articles. Many times that site doesn't get the fact right or even uses wrong words/grammar often.  Many articles are for click bait.

If I am just an outsider who don't know much about the case, reading allpop doesn't help: they don't provide enough facts to see who is in the right or wrong

Though I am glad the lawsuit is settled, it is really unacceptable the way J. company issued their first statement. It is more like from a angry spoiled kid than from a professional company. After all the ugly things that company said about SHK, now that orders are being canceled and even NEW lends their weight on the matter, suddenly they decide to withdraw on the ground of supporting Hallyu wave? I never want to even here about them anymore.

In the meantime, I will wait for better English articles and netizen opinions about this

Totally agree with you. Who cares about grammar . What I care most is Song Hye kyo. And now that the case is settled, i look forward to her next movie project.

I got inspired by @Prentiss's post and browsed several bridal spring collections in search for potential red carpet looks for our goddess since she tends to favor wedding gowns . I'm so happy that even though they mention her previous case just to ruin her image but all Korean netizens comments are positive...they are all on hye gyo side and they are condemning that company....on the other side they also condemn the new endorsers especially the girl..not to show her face on tv with the trash company...yes they called that company trash

This is an article on Naver discussing it. It's a shorter blurb than others but it's the article that is rising on the ranks and has the most comments on this topic. So that's good. I hope all the negative ones get buried. In any case, since I know so many people are curious about the knetizens reactions... For this article, it's all very supportive of SHK, and for the most part, really angry at J.Estina. In particular, they're angry at J.Estina for just dragging SHK's name through the mud again just to pull out because they know they're in the wrong. Basically, why did they even make a big fuss? They should have apologized and reflected when they were warned. They just make a mess and just leave. Who are they that they can claim an influence on Hallyu? They must be scared their market in China will be affected since it was because of SHK they were able to gain profits there. They must be scared to reveal more about the contract since it must not be in their favor. It's not like they're a rookie company.. why are their manners so bad. It goes on like that. 

It's a bit frustrating that public sentiment was so generally negative/mixed towards SHK when it was just SHK/UAA vs. J.Estina. But I'm still really grateful towards NEW in this case for releasing statements which basically backed up SHK. I mentioned to @hclover96 that I hoped NEW would get involved but doubted they would because it's not an easy thing to do and the whole issue at that time was getting so messy, especially with J.Estina dragging in SHK's past unnecessarily. NEW could have just as easily decided not to get involved. But I'm glad they saw that SHK was in the right and also decided to take a stand against J.Estina. I think it was really important that they did this because not only did it place a bigger pressure on J.Estina, but it also seemed to help sway the general public opinion from just associating SHK with her past scandal, per J.Estina's dirty tactic.  NEW's statements reinforced and legitimized the claims made by SHK's side.  Also, it seems like once it was revealed that NEW was discussing legal action against J.Estina as well, J.Estina just finally caved. 

It's always a bit scary to me how fast public sentiment can turn. I'm happy that this issue will be finally over with and that it seems everything will work out positively for SHK. But it's also a bit unnerving to think that this ugly sentiment could have just as easily been targeted towards SHK again. I'm sure she knew that going in. Her mentality is so strong. 

Anyways, cheers to positive news!
