yes he is scumbag, I don't know why she is still with him. The public is on her side and she has money. I feel bad for her. They are not officially separated and people think she got her back due to some contract she had signed.
So many cheating scandals in c-ent in these past two years. A lot of cheaters, but then again same in other countries entertainment business. And these are only the ones we find out about.
I guess there is a lot of cheating in real life so only makes sense that you see a lot of celebs cheating. I think it is just shocking to us bc we see them and they are both very pretty and have money don't seem lacking in anything so we wonder why are they cheating. But I don't think they need a reason. Some people just like to cheat.

no poor TongLiya, her husband was the one that cheated on her (this is pretty much confirmed) and then he forced her to be part on one of his movies and he pretty much offended her character in the movie. Then HL is rumored to have cheated on YM, he said they were just practicing their lines in his hotel room at night. It is up to you what you make out of that, YM said she believed him.

yeah she is good, very likable on screen. But this will follow her around. I think she is a good actress and don't judge her too much on the whole cheating thing since they were in an open relationship, but I still can't unsee it lol. I was watching Surgeons a few months ago and I just kept picturing her poking video
Maybe she needs to take some time off until people forget it. Afterall male celebrities do way worse and get away with it. Just look at the most popular movie this CNY. The director is a scumbag.

yeah, I can't believe she did that in public. Now every time I see her I just think about that video I can't unsee it. There is a time and place for everything imo.
Also, for sure someone set it up. The reporters knew too much about where they were going to be before and after, etc. Some people thought it was the guy she was dating, but who knows.

They never got divorced. In fact they are still married. Maybe they were separated between them but there was no official divorce so them being separated is just them saying that after the fact. You can question if they just said that to cover it up afterwards. Even if it does seem that they were cheating on each other or had an open relationship. On top of the fact that they kept pretending to be a happily married couple until right before the scandal, people overall don't have a good impression on the situation. But I have to say she has really good PR bc they have done a good job covering everything up. I like her as an actress but sadly I can't unsee that video

well maybe bc the only other actress out with a movie is BBH and she has that cheating scandal lingering around her so probably wants to keep a low profile. Just a guess. This CNY is mainly dominated by male celebs.
Also, it is not like the movie is doing horrible but that expectations for the movie were higher. I would say that it needs to reach 1 Billion to meet what people expected and it is unlikely to do so. Other movies if they get as much as MK3 has right now are considered huge success but in this case not. So overall the movie is doing bad. Will reach 800M if lucky.

no, MK2 is with the same cast as MK3 just Gong Li instead of Zhao Liying. The one with Eddie Peng was called Wukong or something like that.
All MK movies get destroyed by critics. I thought MK2 was pretty good. MK1 was HORRIBLE
and the one last year with LGX was bad too imo but not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

It's a CNY tradition to have a Sun Gokong film. The most successful one so far according to Wiki is The Demons Strike Back (last year) but I didn't enjoy it tbh...too heavily CGI for my taste. I still prefer Stephen Chow as Sun GoKong....that was gold in my book....
I think they just have a MK movie every year, sometimes two like last year. I still think the best one was The Monkey King 2 but I have not seen Monkey King 3.
I think most complaints are not that romance was unconvincing but that there was too much romance for the genre if you get what I mean.

yeah, but they all have gotten ripped by critics tbh. Most critics were unhappy that the monkey king felt like a supporting character and there was not enough monster fighting. Felt there was too much focus on romance. Some people felt like they had chemistry others didn't.
I just think the focus in romance didnt make this film family friendly and hard to compete during CNY.

probably this Summer. It got bought by Dragon TV for their 8 pm time slot so I would guess they would put it in the Summer since ZLY has a lot of young fans and they are on their Summer break and should lead to higher ratings.

I can't wait
They added some extra drama that was not in the book and it is giving me a bit of Descendants of the Sun vibes, but just a little. The rest of the story should be very much focused on getting the company back on track and how they get close together.

I think now bosses are suppose to give out money. Usually she would be expected to give her staff money but not the whole crew. She was being really generous. I once read an article of celebrities who treated their staff the best (as in money wise) and ZLY was second behind FBB.

I am reading comments from one of the staff and there were over 400 staff members and everyone got one
Apparently it was a decent amount bc other people in the comments were like I can see it looks thick and he kind of agree.
The staff said commented that more important than money, he appreciated that ZLY gave it to him. And a firefly respondent that he/she just wanted the envelope.

400 million, this must be globally since China Box Office is reporting 350 million as of today. I think it will fall into third or fourth, the other movies got better reviews.

I thought so too bc she was flying out on the 14th to Beijing then coming back the 16th and I thought her house was in Shanghai. However, it seems like she did go to see her family and then will return to MingLan, which is still filming.

I do agree with @reiko53
In douban, some people were rating it 0.5 right after it came out and it has more reviews that usual. This to me is a red flag for antis. Of course not all reviews will come from them but you can dislike a movie and not think it deserved 0.5 stars.
ZLY has a ridiculous amount of organized haters. It is shocking. Some celebs do too and sometimes I wonder how accurate douban scores are for their dramas/movies. Usually if they get a low douban score it is correct but not as low as the one they get. Like Untouchable Lovers with GXT, def doesnt deserve 3.0. Not the best but is entertaining, however she has a lot of organized haters and the score is abysmal.
