Also, since we are talking about bad guys and feeling bad for them. I kind of feel bad for SH, even thought she is pretty bad she truly loved XF and she sacrificed her whole future for him. Another one with a one sided obsession that couldn't understand that it takes two to tango. But I feel like unlike Night who used JM to get what he wanted SH sacrificed everything she had to try and get XF.

pretty much what gleek49 wrote. I think if he only went after the Empress he would have been justified but he mixes up two innocent people who are the ones that end up hurting and who to be honest were pretty good/trusting of him. The Empress always thought he was duplicitous if XF and JM hadn't trusted him so much they wouldn't have fallen for his lies.

While I dont hate Night, I dont think his suffering justifies his actions. Just bc someone is pitiful doesnt give them a free pass for hurting others and in this case hurting someone he is suppose to love and his brother. Both people were good to him. I think he is just cunning in the end and he becomes selfish only looking out for his own interests.
I personally wasnt able to forgive him for everything he did in the novel and I do hope he gets some karma more than not getting JM. Since she was never in love with him and she was just used by him time and time again. A lot of people go through hard things in life and dont turn around and hurt others.
I feel bad for his circumstances and at the same time I think his actions are cruel and unforgivable. I do think he makes a compelling villain due to his complexity but a villain nonetheless.

From the trailer for the next two episodes, I am afraid the wedding really won't happen until episodes past 40. I am guessing ep. 44 or so. The last 15 episodes of the drama are going to be full of stuff.
EDIT: They are also spending a lot of time on giving Night a backstory and making him more pitiful. I guess I won't get my karma after all.

YZ is done with Go Go Squid but you know she just broke up so maybe she wanted to avoid the media and all their nasty questions.
We are going to need a lot of tissues for the next 20 episodes or so. At least we can look forward to their first mutual cultivation

Some more pics that I found
The girl is suppose to be the demon princess' daughter. I assume there will be a story behind this. The fact that she is together with their kid also implies that like in the novel they will be end up in the Demon realm probably ruling it. It also means that it probably won't take XF as long to find JM's soul. Since JM is four thousand years old by the time the drama starts, I doubt the princess' daughter is five thousand years old in the pic.

the start of this gif is when he is looking for her soul after she sacrifices herself. Maybe when he goes to meet Buddha.
I usually feel like the intros and endings give a lot away but it could be useful if you want to make sure they followed the novel

They are the main addition from the novel. They are like the supporting love line. Chen Yu Qi is actually billed third in the drama before Night so I assume she will be a large part of the story.

I know what you mean. I don't know if it is SH or JM but I have a bad feeling it is SH bc there are pics of her dressed in that outfit. There are also some bts pics of JM in that outfit but fans think it is probably XF picturing JM instead of SH. Now my hope is that she comes in the middle and stops the ceremony.
The garden scene is the first mutual cultivation. In the book they mention the tree, I think it is the tree that she made bloom with Phoenix flowers.

The book said he descended when he revived so I always saw it as he descended to the demon world. I guess theoretically he could live somewhere else but he chose the demon world to protect himself. He will stay in the Demon world as their leader, he will just go and find JM.

I liked HSALF and TMOPB about the same. I think the drama was better than the book for TMOPB and I hope the same is true for this one.

Now as a character he is pretty interesting. He always justifies his actions and I think he always sees himself as the pitiful party due to his childhood traumas but in reality he is very cunning, cold, and smart. He manages to outmaneuver everyone and trick everyone into feeling sorry for him. In the end, he just didnt count on how much JM and XF love each other. He makes for an interesting villain, even if the brother who was mistreated by his father as a child and seeks revenge stereotype is pretty trite.-

Here is a screenshot of the moment I keep talking about possibly being very close to the end.
She is wearing a wedding outfit and he is wearing black, which would fit the ending of the book. They also seem to be in the human world.
The only other time JM wore red on the drama was for this scene but her outfit is different

When JM jumps in front of Phoenix to save him from Night's attack. Like I said before when he is reborn he is weaker than he was before and right before this JM figures out that Night messed with the pill she gave Phoenix.
I think this could be right after the fight bc his hand still has blood on it

you cant see it clearly but he has a little stub so I think it is probably when she is reborn but it makes no sense since he finds her when she is about to get married so ??? no idea. Could also be an illusion.

Also the third time they see each other is during these scene. She asks him if they can go back and he says they can't but that they can start over. I dont know if this is an illusions or dream (I have been tricked before >_> Journey of Flower) But it didnt happen like this in the book

He is reborn as a demon bc of the hatred he has for what happened to him, also when he is reborn he is weaker than he was before he died bc Night messed up with the pill JM gave him to revive him. He thought if he did something the pill would fail but it didn't. However, it did make Phoenix significantly weaker and in a lot of pain.

Yeah, I do wish the author had written something to bridge the gap between she becoming a spirit and him finding her. But sometimes less is more if authors dont know how to fill in the gaps I rather leave it to my imagination. I also wanted Night to get some sort of retribution for everything he did, he got off scotch free. He says that imprisoned Sui He but to me she did way less than him. I feel like the author only punished him by him not being able to get JM's love but since he never had it. I feel like he deserved a lot more punishment for everything he did and tried to do to JM and XF.
I do think the drama will end soon after the big fight. But hopefully satisfactory. It just makes sense because we are going into ep. 25 and they are still in the human realm which means they will probably return to Heaven by ep. 30 and JM still needs to be attacked by the Empress, etc before the wedding. So wedding will probably be around ep. 40. Then a few episodes of JM suffering trying to revive XF. After XF's revival there are some episodes until she finds out the truth and then we have the final confrontation and what follows.
There is one scene where you see XF with a beard walking on the snow and I think that is him looking for JM's soul. Then the bts clips that we have seen where YZ is dressed in red and they seem to be in the human world. And finally the bts pictures with their son by a river. i felt like the writer just wrote a few sentences to make it a happy ending just so that she won't get lashed out at by her readers....even though it was a happy ending, not a lot was explained! like how did FH find the mortal JM 5 thousand years later, did JM retain her immortal memories, why she just cooly accept to elope with him when he appears, etc...so many unanswered questions leading up to that happy ending. that ending was just slapped in your face and was like take it or leave it lol

She wrote a few epilogues to explain further. Yes, Jimin retained her memories. I think he found her bc he could feel her spirit. When she was a tear in his eye he knew there was a piece of her soul somewhere he just didn't know where. So after she left him, he was probably able to feel her spirit. She also seemed to retain her powers since she conceived her child in her original form.
It did feel kind of abrupt so I agree. While I don't think it will happen all in one episode in the drama since some spoilers have shown clips of the epilogues (like them with their kid). I do think it will probably be the last two episodes. That is the big climax so afterwards there is no much story to tell.
I do think they changed some stuff since in one of the previews. JM is seen dressed in black talking to him and she tells him "Cant we go back" he says "We can't go back" she tears up turns around to leave and he back hugs her. I don't remember this from the novel. Once they finally confronted each other JM was running away from Night and he attacked right away making XF misunderstand that this was also part of the plot of JM and Night. However, in clips she confronts him at least twice after he is resurrected. So I think they will add some otp scenes here and there.

They had a little fanmeet yesterday with all the main actors except for YangZi.
I am glad they really expanded on this human realm storyline. They are so cute together. I predict wedding around episode 30 but some fans said that the actor who plays Night commented that it takes place after ep. 40. We will see actors sometimes like to give wrong info out on purpose.
The only main difference that some people seem to be mentioning is Night being nicer in the drama than in the book. But to be honest, I was fooled by Night on the book almost all the way to the end. They did probably make him less bad but not by much imo.-

I do like the sequence of undergoing the heavenly trial in the mortal realm now before he becomes the demon king. It solidifies the foundation for their 'great love'. It is commonly asked why Xu Feng fell for Jin Mi. I always thought that it was first the proximity, then curiosity. Fondness turned to like and like to love. And let's face it, she also had her way with him, initiating most of the skinship in the beginning
For Jin Mi, the poor girl didn't even know what hit her until it was too late---and I mean that literally.
