  1. they were my favourite too. I liked how he used to buy her bread because she liked the bakery so much but she thought it was him being friendly. she was so shocked when he told her how he felt. it was also amusing because he was such a boring serious guy but she was the only one who thought he was very funny. 520
  2. try 'sons of sol pharmacy' (also known as my too perfect sons) -- it is old but never fails to make me laugh; the mother is pulling out her hair because she has 4 sons and she wants the oldest 3 to get married and the youngest to just pass high school. ji chang wook acts as the teenage son born after a huge age gap and he was a newbie when the drama aired. the opening scene in trailer is from ep 1 or 2 and the first time I watched, I laughed till my belly ached. none of the actors have any abs, so sad for @partyon and @Ameera Ali but one of the few scenes I can recall where all these guys are standing in their underwear. try 'be my family' - it is a daily and it is pretty sweet family drama. two people in their 60s get married and so now they have to figure out how to blend a family full of adults. lots of interesting themes such as a brother feeling like a total failure because his sister gets high marks whereas he has failed his university exams and is feeling pressure from his mother especially to pass. it is rather a sweet drama. 518
  3. have been out of the loop of weekend dramas @kokodus; whether it is weekend or daily dramas, you need to give about 5-10 episodes to find a groove. what kind of mood are you in? then I can suggest 518
  4. I am still wondering where the title of this drama is coming from. so far, there has been only one wedding in the beginning -- when da jeong married sang cheol. so, we still need wedding #2 as well as wedding #3. am going to guess that one wedding has to be seran and sang cheol otherwise, how will she legally gain custody of the daughter?
  5. same as @larus; am looking at the photo and wondering who is this fella. I don't think I have seen him in any drama that I watched. does not look familiar. no idea who the wife is either. +2
  6. 86 @partyon ~ watched about 10 minutes of death's game and found it depressing. no patience to watch further. dropped.
  7. I feel so sorry for the cousin to be tagged with serin. part of me hopes that he will continue to avoid her because he seems like a nice guy from the episodes I saw.
  8. in one of those moods where you are just annoyed. sigh. +2
  9. 156 @partyon ~ am pretty much voting none option in all the polls because I barely watched any dramas. according to MDL, I managed to watch 4 in 2023. I don't even remember that!
  10. joseon tae ha always felt far more charismatic than the modern one. even though he was fleeting, he made more of an impact in the first episode than modern tae ha through all his journey. shrug. more than the couple, I was more interested in the stepmother and her inner turmoil. she was the reason I didn't drop the drama. the grandpa and revenge seeking secretary was a nice twist. so I actually zipped through most of the OTP scenes. I didn't really get how the ending worked. so basically joseon tae ha had to die of natural causes in order for fate to stop repeating itself? so if someone died of unnatural causes, their spirit keeps wandering or jumping timelines in this drama? not sure if that was the kind of idea the writer was trying to suggest. that said, it made sense sort of why she was cold to joseon tae ha. from the start, she told modern tae ha that he was not a replacement for her husband and she saw him as a different person. so joseon tae ha was never going to replace modern tae ha in any lifetime. still, I don't get why she married him if that was the case? just to prevent him dying of poison so her parents could live? another one of these time loop dramas that is a bit messy in logic. still, it was more interesting than perfect marriage revenge which I sort of fell asleep as the ML was such a yawn. this tae ha at least looked a bit alive and had more interesting things to do! re: @frozentundra
  11. not yet; past few days have been busy. I have to catch up on the two dramas I am watching. then will check out death's game. 182
  12. she is too busy carrying bag of onions to change. I want to say, boiling herbs but she does that barely. every time I see episode, she is in front of an empty kitchen where nothing is being cooked. this is a strange restaurant.
  13. which drama is this? is this a cameo? how are so many actors in this drama? does every episode have different actors or somethign? +2
  14. thanks. it all feels such a long time ago. I had to go back to find out what was virtual angel. my memory bank is so short these days! +2
  15. from the news I read, she has been arrested and charged. it no longer comes in news. in the documentary, there was fine print that trial is still in process. +2
  16. the local police was rather inept or it was a case of everyone knowing each other in the small village and thinking no one would do anything bad. also, some of the deaths were of old folks and so people assumed that it was just age related. as for the husband, they should have investigated futher. also, he must have been showing signs of depression and so people just assumed that it was a suicide. I am not sure about the laws here regarding this but I do know in some countries, the family has to sign off before an autopsy can be done. so in some instances, if the family does not agree, the police cannot do anything unless they get a court order. (lee seon kyun's family also refused autopsy according to one news article I read). +2
  17. 226 bit late but @partyon just responding to one of your tags, yes I watched the curry and cynaide documentary on netflix. I was curious as they had direct access to the family members. I remember when it was news and it was on every channel. you have Qs?
  18. just a quick peek to wish everyone a happy new year. hope 2024 treats us all well chingus hoping to post more this year and be active. will there be good dramas? lets see! +2
  19. just peeking in to say a quick hello and wishing everyone for the holidays. am visiting family but also a bit under the weather. so my brain as usual is zapped and I think @Ameera Ali had the right answer to the question -- inzaghi. but truthfully, not sure. this morning, I heard a pidgeon cooing outside the bathroom window and I am glad they can't get in.
  20. it feels like the writer wants us to know that the mother didn't forget about the FL on purpose and wasn't cold and callous. but rather, she forgot because of sickness. then we can have 3 ommas that @maribella loves so much. chairman is a player. when she finally goes back to him, he no longer has to be devoted and can go back freely to leching and trying to get some other woman. it is all about the chase and the game.
  21. 366 @partyon ~ I finally managed to get some time to watch 2 eps of marriage contract park and I liked it. really appreciate that the guy looks healthy and normal -- he looks like a man! (not some teenage gangly kid in other contract marriage show ) looks really good with white shirts. my tick of approval!
