I can understand So. He's a man of words and actions, but this time he could not do anything to fulfill the words he said only an episode ago. Of course it's not his fault he didn´t take him out of the palace and marry her, but from now on everything is against them (not just Soo)

MLSHR Episode 14 Review Part 3
I truly enjoy Moo/Wook conversation! Bravo Moo, finally you showed some guts. In your face Wook!!! Still, So is surprised that Moo said he will abdicate to him.
Moo: The point of that appeal... is likely to get me to abdicate to you, Wook. That is why I do not need to hear any more.
Wook: I believe I have given you the wrong idea, Your Majesty. I merely wanted to help lessen the burden for you in any way. I said it to you out of loyalty. Did it anger you?
Moo: No. Just like you said... I plan on sharing my burden with a brother.
Moo: So is going to marry my eldest daughter.
Wook: Excuse me?
Moo: I plan on abdicating to So soon. He is my brother and son-in-law. Who could be more perfect? Don't you agree?
SpoilerSoo learns about So marriage and it’s not happy about it… but she’s not over reacting… maybe not reacting at all! So gives her no excuses and she sheds a tear… She’s so proper now. In moments like this I miss the old Soo so much!

My WhatsApp status ever since I watch the drama. So fitting. Anyway I don´t know wich translation is better. Soo wrotes the poem and copy So’s writing countless times. I cry nonstop. I wish I would know the meaning of all this besides making Soo write like So. I mean, to the very end I though/wished that all those copies would have a purpose (besides making Jung mess with Soo letters to So)
After meeting with Yo, Jung jumps the palace walls and went into the Damiwon, specifically Soo’s room. So noticed and tried to search her room, but she better cut herself with her hairpin than let him in. All to protect Jung. This scene made me mad at Soo… and Jung.

Still, I had to admit that from time to time Jung talks a little sense:
Jung: You cannot expect us to go back to the days of hanging out at the 8th Prince's home. That's just your greed. We have changed. Soon, you will have to choose.
To me she already chose. And every time she had to choose she makes the same decision. She never chooses So. In this case she chooses Jung over So. Later she chooses Wook over So and CR over So.
So, ever the man of actions, drags Soo out of the Damiwon…

Of course, they started with a fight. Soo doesn´t want a poem, she wants an explanation. So doesn´t want lies but the truth. I love So solution:

MLSHR Episode 14 Review Part 2
Time for Wook to blow my pink bubble with his intrigues. Luckily So is looking mighty fine and I can focus on him (seriously I try really hard to read the subs and understand what the snake was saying but my brain couldn´t process it).
I will try to behave, I promise. So doesn´t trust Wook (justly so) and he doesn´t let Wook has his way. I’m always so proud of So, he is so smart! The snake had to admit he has a strong opponent in So.

SpoilerPoisoned and crazy, Moo decided to marry his daughter to Khitan. So sees himself in the little girl, she won´t be a hostage as he was. So he has to sacrifice himself again. He had to marry the little princess and lose Soo, in order to protect the king.

Everything about this scene is beautiful: the way it was filmed, the scenery, So and Soo matching outfits, the music, So… Like in the jail scene, they don´t need to speak to understand each other. They know they’re lying. Soo faking she’s fine, So faking he forgot. She knows something bad must be happening, but she’s willing to give him time. Is it just me? I cried all the time…

MLSHR Episode 14 Review Part 1
Episode 14 is a So fest! And I’m the happiest of fans because of it. So this time I won’t talk about the evil ones (Yo, Yoo, Won, Wook, CR). I won´t even talk about BA+WH. I count on pixels and blue to talk about their scenes later… And I will dedicate my review to So.
Beware it will be a long post…
It’s HS birthday and the happy family is reunited. We learnt that So and BA were away, we don´t know the details (though I would love to see at least a few scenes of So and BA traveling together). BA gives Soo a present. So doesn´t give her a thing and they bicker like an old married couple which I absolutely love (Why didn´t we see the development of their relationship? I would love to see how they got to this point)

Thanks for sharing! i think the article is right. it doesn´t matter how much you cry while watching a drama, what matters is how long the drama stays with you. In my case (and many) MLSHR achieved the 2. We cried an awful lot... and we still cry and have the drama and the characters in our hearts. it feels like the first time... i wonder if it would ever change but seriously i don´t think so... in fact i don´t want the feeling to change...

MLSHR Episode 13 Review
Things I liked not So related:
Not so many things, but a few.
1. Eun/SD: I really love these two. I so wished they would live happily ever after. This part broke my heart because we know what’s coming:
SD: Then... should we die together?
Eun: Are you crazy? Why would I die with you? Why should we die at all? Let's both... live.
2. Queen Hwangbo giving a lesson to Queen Yoo. I’m sure she enjoyed the moment… and she was right. At first I thought she was just a good a sensible woman, but we could see later that she could be quite scheming, all in the name of saving her family. At one point I stopped to like her. She’s the mother of Snakes Wook and YH after all!
QH: Shut your mouth. Why are you being stupid? With one wrong move, your son and mine will both die. We need to come up with a plan to save our children. Forget that you're a woman and remember that you are a mother.
3. They edited off Jung scene (the one where he visited Soo while she was making tea for the king)
4. This is just because i missed her so much!
Things I don´t like not Wook/YH/Yoo related:
I’m so sad I’m introducing this section for my beloved BA! But I can´t deny that I disliked every BA’s scene. First he was badly stabbed; we’re supposed to believe that his life was really in danger by the end of episode 12, but at his first appearance in episode 13, he seems perfectly fine.
He’s all about YH, I know he loves her, I know the king wasn´t the best of fathers, but she tried to kill him! After that, he learnt the king was dead! And he doesn’t show a little bit of pain or even sadness... the ever sympathetic BA! I can´t understand him as a character (I know, I know he shed one tear after JM announced the King’s death, but he already knew it)
When he was riding with YH, he suddenly remembered that he was hurt, then forgot all about it and start making love… I don´t like his words: “Since we won't see each other again, then... can I do whatever I want for tonight?” I wonder what people would’ve said if it was So who said that… as it was BA I remember they were all swooning over the kiss. Sorry guys I love BA a lot, but I don´t like his love story… and I think it doesn´t add to the drama.
Now the good stuff that is So:
We see again the scene where So and Wook were glaring at each other… and the shallow me won’t complain because So looks so fine…

We see again the scene where So was proposing to Soo… and the shallow me still won’t complain because of the same shallow reasons. Plus, we could see that Soo was affected… and maybe regretting her decision?
SpoilerSo is galloping out of Songak in order to bring back Crown Prince (and the shallow me is delighted because I love to see him horse riding).
SpoilerHe was blocked by YH and her soldiers (and I wonder why he allowed YH to block him). She, who was always saying that she wanted Wook to be the King, must like the idea to be the Queen herself with So as his King, so she offered him the throne. I like his answer: “Is becoming king something so easy that you can become one if you want?” I like So.
SpoilerThis scene was mirroring Wook/Soo conversation about being a king, but I don´t like the effect. It feels a little forced.
Soo is looking for So to tell him about the king’s death and Wook’s plan. I looooove So’s reaction when he heard the news about the king. You could feel his pain, his sorrow (I’m talking to you BA!). Soo had to shake him so he could pay attention to the imminent attack planned by Yo.

SpoilerI have to say it: I loooooooove So stating that the plan was from both Yo and Wook, and I love Soo’s surprised reaction. You can´t fool my man Soo! Both Soo and BA vouch for YH, so she will be the one to find Crown Prince (with BA, of course)
SpoilerI need to see International version again, but I’m almost sure that the next scene was aired later on that version, which makes more sense. The edit feels off here. After knowing that the king is death, will So and Soo go to watch the throne and just talk?

Anyway, let’s talk about this version, because there is one thing I want to highlight. Soo doesn´t worry about So because she knows that he’s going to be GY. But Soo, that doesn´t mean that So can´t be hurt. He was already hurt several times, he was scarred for life, he suffered greatest pain when he was poisoned just to save you! The fact that GY will exist doesn´t mean that he could be a cripple or be sick… So why don´t you worry about his safety? The only thing you know for sure is that he is going to live, but you don´t know how he´s going to live… it drives me crazy.

Soo: He said it was for my sake. He was angry that he could not do anything when I got kicked out. He couldn't help and had to leave me alone. He says he wants more power.
Soo: But if the 8th Prince were to get injured... I would be scarred forever.
Why Soo, Why? Why can you be so understanding to Wook and not to So? When he justly punished CR you didn´t show any kind of understanding. Was your love for So not so strong as your love for Wook? Sometimes I’m sad to admit you love Wook the best, at least your actions and words said so…

Time for So to see his father for the last time. This scene broke my heart. First, even if the King was a bad father to him, So still loves him. In this scene So learns from JM that the king said life is short and fleeting. We know that So can´t accept it.

Finally we get some action! So promised not to harm Wook, but the snake wants to kill him, with his own hands (not that he had a chance, it's obvious who is the best fighter). I love the fight sequence and the scenery. I love warrior So.
SpoilerMoo arrives with BA and sadly interrupts the fight (i would love to watch it until the end). Wook betrys Yo, and So smirks tell us all.
SpoilerJM said the bad news (that everyone knows) and a white haired Queen Yoo appears (btw i remember reading somewhere that it was on historics records that her hair turned white, is it true?). It's the snake who first greets the new King. Long live the king. manse, manse, manmanse!

Yo is on the run (how he managed to evelop?) and everyone is hunting him. While Yo was fighting with the soldiers, the Snake aimed to kill with an arrow. I love So words (as always. I know i sound like a broken record)
So (to Wook): Don't hunt him like he's an animal.
So (to Jung): Can you handle him until the end? He is still your older brother.

How is it that everyone in every drama that falls from the same cliff never dies??? it wasn't spoilery to show Yo alive in the preview... it was the obvious that he must be alive. But So thought that he killed Yo and was devastated...

So was trying so hard to control his tears from falling. And it was Soo who made the first contact. First she gentle tap his back and then she silently embrace him as he broke down...what a beautiful and moving scene (and place) (and So)..

Welcome to this thread! by all means watching Two Weeks would be a good pick! After MLSHR is my favorite JG's drama. But if you want a happy happy ending then you should watch Virgin Snow (he speaks a little japanese there and it's such a sweet love story) or Fly Daddy Fly.

MLSHR Episode 12 Review
(warning: picspam ahead!)
Things that I liked not So related:
I was about to say that I didn´t like anything at all, besides So scenes, but Eun/SD/daddy saved the day. They’re so cute and endearing together…
Much of the episode was about snakes attacking each other: YH vs. Queen Yoo, Wook vs. Yo, Wook vs. YH, as neither was destroyed or seriously damaged I didn´t enjoy it. Also, much time was spent on BA/WH and I couldn´t care less about them. Wook/Jung is a combo I really dislike. And I was really disappointed because I don´t have the closure I needed between Soo and Wook.
Finally, why Soo had to speak in whisperings? I never noticed before but this time it was getting on my nerves!
End of rant and now onto the good stuff that is So.
Now for So:
We start with the king ordering So to go to Later Jin as an ambassador. So quietly accepted but on a condition: Soo must stay safe at the Damiwon. As soon as So leaves, the King orders the opposite.

Now comes one of the sweetest scenes ever, how many times did I replay it? Can´t honestly tell.

The colors, the music, the backhugh, the way they show us that Soo often thinks and maybe daydreams of So, the way this scene contrasted to Soo/Wook reunion. It's dreamy. Soo is so worried about So and she looks so pretty indeed. So is so sweet and caring and beautiful. And his soft voice @bluelilac1214. He is just what a man in love should be!
So: You never did listen. I told you to stay put at the Damiwon. Doing physical labor suited you better than being a court lady, anyway.

SpoilerSo wants to take Soo out of her lowly and painful life, but Soo doesn´t give him a chance. In order to make him leave, she said that she wants to forget everything and that he makes her recall the bad things that happened to her. @pixelsticks you pointed out that there were differences between SBS and International versions. If i remember well Soo was very hard on So, and there were no voice covers. I remember i was really, really mad at Soo after watching International version. Later when I watched SBS version I calmed down a little.
SpoilerOk this is fun. YH proposed to So and he bluntly rejected her. Ja! She's so selfish, so proud, so sure of herself. She doesn´t deserve So. And he's a little surprised first, but the he is so honest and so all about Soo.
SpoilerSo: Without Soo, there would have been no future for me at all.
So: Now that I've said that, it's become clear now. I am nothing without her.

So makes it really hard for me not to swoon like crazy all the episode. And the music does not help. Not only does he looks extremely beautiful, but he acts so manly, so sincere, so worried about Soo well being. He always thinks of her first. His disinterested offer to marry her as a way to take her out of the palace, even if they have to divorce later is love. But you can see the pang in his face when he said it. He knows she doesn´t love him back. Yet he's willing to do anything for her. And I really think Soo was about to say yes... she moves closer to him like she was going to accept. Sadly she rejected him at the end. And here it is, another chance lost! She didn´t learn her lesson after what happened to CLO. We know that there will be a time when Soo will want to go with So but he won´t. He gave her so many chances. Bad timing Soo, as always in this drama.

I know I´m shallow, and maybe that's why i had to repeat his scenes so many times, but he is so beautiful that i always got lost in his eyes... in his lips... and forget about everything else. Then i had to rewind to read the subtitles but failed again and again. I'm helpless...
... And I'm exhausted, so I'm gonna comment about the other posts and @pixelsticks emoji review tomorrow. I'm happy your discussing the drama @cedarwood!
