Over the course of the last month, we have come up with suggestions/guidelines/wants/needs/desires that we Soompians have in reference to the character of Bong Sang Pil. Just like last year with Criminal Minds, we put them in a table and diligently watched and marked off which ones came true after every episode. Let's see if we can have some success this year!!

I love Joseon Gunman, somewhere near the end it might get a little repetitive, but it's an awesome drama nonetheless. Solid acting, beautiful scenery and the best action scenes I've ever seen. If you love action, it's your drama. I love action. Plus JG looks so good in it. His Gunman disguise is my favorite, and Hanjo San is love. And I love lead couple. Yes maybe I'm the only one who loves them together but I like NSM, and I think she has a sweet chemistry with LJG here, of course nothing explosive like TBDW... To me is a must watch.

Everything you said! I didn´t know what to expect, but of course JG never disappoints. BTW i just watched his 2006 FM and it was impressive. With so many people (it aches a little, thankfully he did Japan) and he was so beautiful and adorable. but he evolved so much. he's way better as a dancer, a singer, an entertainer. I won't change what he is now for what he was when he was young (though i love his younger self very much)

Birthday cake and singing time! Cake as always was beautiful. You already seen it for sure. He joked about the hats he should use and about ruining his hairstyle. (at the end he put on a cap and a crown nonetheless and ruined his style, but his stylist rushed to fix it in front of everyone. Lol)
When Mc Ding Dong asked us to sing happy birthday for him, since we're all from different countries, didn't practice to sing before, even worst we didn't share the same basic note tone, i must admit our song was quite horrible. Realizing someting wrong, he cut our singing and demanded us to sing it again.
This was terrible and true. I felt so awkward and ashamed. Seriously I wanted to hide under my seat. How could we not sing a proper “Happy Birthday” to him? Luckily JG can always turn bad to wonderful, and it only became another reason to laugh.
Before he cut the cake, he showed as always, his swordsman skills. It was impressive. I think so far is his best cutting the cake demonstration. And this is saying a lot. It was also a funny moment because MC always seemed to jump back as if afraid JG would cut him.
He said, he read every single comments that we send to him on IG sooo maybe he knew that his fans always worry about him so much, that he sang the third song: Don't Worry Dear. I personally love this song since I heard him sang it last year.
Yes ladies (and gentlemen if there’s any) he said he read everything. Sooner or later. Even now I get a little nervous thinking what would he think of me if he read any of my silly comments. From that moment on I always promise myself to be careful when I write. Of course, I’m never careful and write what I think. You can’t help fangirl like crazy when you are talking about JG.
Since last year FM Don´t Worry Dear became a very special song to me. The song is very beautiful itself, but JG’s voice made it more meaningful to me. I always cry when I listen to it. Some days ago, our dear @bluelilac1214 shared this link to me, I think it’s the best recording of the song I heard so far:
SpoilerGame time was very fun. First, we had to stand up! Yay! I don´t think I would have sat still any longer. MC were supposed to name a gesture, JG would do it and we had to guess it and do it at the same time. I didn´t cheat I promise (even if it was very tempting). I guessed the cute pose, the heart pose, and the gwiyomi pose, I failed the sexy pose (but everyone failed it, even JG so it didn´t count. Lol). I also failed the selfie pose and it counted. I had to sit down. Sniff. He also made a baseball pose. I can´t remember more. Any way some lucky people won and received their prizes: a tattoo from JG. Lucky ladies and boy. From the bunch of choices, I think my favorite one was putting the tattoo on the neck. Because he had to lean as if he was about to kiss the girl. The cheek was a good place too. I must admit I was feeling a little envious. I said it. JG read me if you want. Lol
Second game was a message from JG himself, hidden in a few lucky chairs. Well I guess it would be fun to some outsider to see the frantic hunting that followed, as the last piece of paper didn´t appear on time. Not my lucky time once again. This time the prizes were gifts. It was fun, because there were 2 trolleys. The girl who won the first one wasn´t talkative. The second one was. She earned a signature in her trolley. Luckiest of girls. When the MC asked if it wasn´t unfair to the first one, JG said she didn´t deserve his signature or something like that. Lol
JG left the stage for a change and MC was left alone throwing roses. When JG came out from behind us everyone got crazy. I won´t curse the chairs, but why did they have to be there? We all tried to get near him, but the said chairs were on my way. Still I got the closer I could. And I must be satisfied with it. Whether I like it or not. Lol. I must remember myself from time to time that I was lucky enough. I think I must be very greedy.
I liked his outfit again. He looked like he was a student. Lol. A very beautiful and accomplished student though. A campfire was set in the front of the stage. Close enough to where I was seated. From then on, I had a good look of his sexy back almost all the time. And some side views now and them. And then, to made things perfect, I could look at his face.
He sang two songs that I didn´t know. I need to do some research and download good versions of them to document my experience, but I like them a lot. Sorry, I will work hard and be a better fan from now on. I promise. He was sitting with his guitarist and it felt like we were camping for real. It was a starry night, and he was singing soft songs to us all. I still can close my eyes and see him smiling.
The last game I’m sure you already know about it. Only one led light would turn on, and one lucky girl received a necklace that JG just took off his neck. I was dying. When he leaned to put the necklace on her I think I and every other girl in the venue died. I don´t know what I would have done if I was her, maybe fainted or went into hysterics, maybe I was lucky not to be chosen. No, I’m lying, even if I were in my most shameful state I would rather be beside him. But the girl even managed to do some acronym with his name. I admire her, if I were here my mind would have gone blank, for sure.
He wanted audiences sang together with him, so he choosed the song that he hoped everyone know it. Yup, the classic song by Beatles: Let It Be. My jaw dropped when the hydraulic stage platform lift up. He looked like a superstar
As always, he was right. I was so happy he was singing a song I could sing (I don´t know all the lyrics, but I can sing along in English. In fact, I sang along the Korean songs too, but the outcome was far worse). I started to cry again. I couldn´t help it. It was a beautiful and sweet moment. And JG soft voice did justice to the song in my humble opinion. Now all I have left is to learn the lyrics by heart.
SpoilerWe were all in awe when the platform raised. He looked like a superstar, but he acted so humble and lovingly that you can´t help feel related to him.
I especially liked the last song (Let’s Go Travel) he sang before leaving the stage because it was a fast and energetic one and he danced and run and jump, and so we did (lest the running part). But I could not believe it was over. There must be more because the FM felt so short.
I can´t recall if it was then when they started to roll all our names on the screen. Maybe it was after the final performance. But despite the timing I felt overwhelmed. And worried, because when I noticed they were doing the name event the letter A was long over. Sister saw her name (M name) and I was happy for her but what about mine? I didn’t see it and I was heartbroken. Then I saw my real name (I had to notice because it must be the longest one along with sister’s, as both were written in Spanish and in Hangul. Lol. Just in case). The truth is that by some mistake (or miracle) my name appeared twice, first Antonia Clamens, then Zaida Clamens - 사이다 글라멘
They also shared some new Lawless Lawyer stills and a Jiu-jitsu clips along the way. But I can´t name the exact moment. My bad. As I said memories are blurry.
And it was supposed that you couldn´t take pictures and videos in the venue. But everyone was doing it. So, I attempted to took some, afraid I could be dragged away like they did to other fans near me last year. Not this time though. But my phone takes bad pictures/videos in the dark, so I let others do the job. In fact, I still have tons of pictures and videos to check from the web. But as nothing compares to the pictures you took on your own I saved and treasure the bad ones I took. Here’s one of my best. Feel free to judge for yourselves.

Well I got distracted. He came back. Wearing another comfy and becoming outfit. Looking gorgeous as ever. He sang Now, and I was relieved. Now is one of my favorite songs. I always made me smile and feel happy.
Then he sang Thank You, and I was happier. The more songs the merrier.
I was wondering if he was going to end the FM with that song when he started Together. And I was even happier. Could it be possible? Well it seems the answer is Yes. Together isn´t one of my favorites songs, but it’s my feel-good song. Every time elevators won´t work at office (it happens quite frequently) and I must climb up stairs (9 floors if you are curious), I sang the song to myself. Every time I must do a challenging task, I sang the song to myself. I think it is the song I sang the most. And now every time I sing it I would have a beautiful recollection too. Seriously, I can´t be any happier.
Oh! one thing happened at the beginning of the FM. The MC was saying that many people came from outside Korea and named my country. Of course, he was talking about sister and me. Who else would come from Venezuela? I was so excited. One of my most beloved moments in a wonderful the day.
And this way I come to the end. All I had to say is I felt like I was in heaven. Every time I think of that day I feel so grateful. I can´t believe my luck. I can´t believe I got to see him twice. Both experiences were so different, but both were magical. They complemented each other. I know he’s not perfect. But I know he is genuine. Everything about him felt this way. His love, his passion, his caring nature, everything is for real. His beautiful looks too. Lol. I don´t know how a human being like him can exist. Yet he does, and I’m so thankful because of it.
I’m also thankful to you guys for bearing with me. It was a long review. I felt It lacks a lot though. Because my heart and mind are so full. I will cut the cheese now.

2018.04.07 Joongi’s Day Review. Part 1
How to write this? As @girlyponytail did such an impressive review of the fan meeting, I think I will make a different approach and just comments about my impressions, feelings and experiences from this wonderful day and JG. Please spare me, I don´t know what the outcome will be. Specially when so many time has passed and everything is a little bit mixed in my mind. What stays the same is my heart, it’s so full of love and gratefulness for being able to be there and see JG.
First, I need to say that I attended the FM with sister and our dear @glassnokamen. The FM was scheduled to start at 5:00 pm but we arrived at 8:15 am because we wanted to see him. It was a cold and windy day, and they were still setting the posters for the rice donations when we got at the Olympic Park. So, we were able to take some pictures without many people hanging around.

When we were done, we went to the back of the building to get positioned and wait for JG. At first there were very few people, but the number increased little by little. We were standing in line and from time to time bodyguards got off the building and made us step backwards. JG arrived at 12:00 m. All the order disappeared, and chaos reigned. Lol. I wonder how he was able to squeeze into the venue. All the time I was worried he would end smashed against the wall. But he managed to enter just fine, all smiles and waves, and I failed to take a proper picture or video. I thought I was filming all the time, but I guess I press the record button. My bad, that’s why I can´t share anything from that wonderful moment. Because I was very near, and I could see him clearly. Luckily there are tons of clear pictures of him arriving hanging on the web.

Once we entered we run to the queue, glass won the race lol. I must admit that as I loved all the merchandise I bought them all. Yes, right now I’m bankrupt.

I can´t remember the exact hour we entered the venue, sometime around 2:30 pm. At the entrance they gave us the light watch and a poster (the confetti in the picture was the one I collected during the performance time)

It was all so beautiful and picnic party style!
When he entered the first thing I thought was “what is he wearing?” no skinny pants and stylish jackets this time… but I like it best. It was like a real family party where you are supposed to be comfortable and feel at home. Mission accomplished! The atmosphere was relaxed, his clothes and mood too! And he looked so gorgeous. A tiny shadow over his lips, his perfect yet careless hairstyle, the loose clothes, his brightest smile.

He started with Ma Lady, and I got to see again the awesome dancing from last year. It was so energetic. This song really grows on you… I only wish I wasn´t seated. All I want was to jump and dance (even when I don´t know how to do it). Then it was Selfless dedicated tree. Now this song is my song from last year FM. So, it was a very special song to me. The dancing was so playful, you can´t help smile and be happy while hearing the song and watching him.
I must admit that the first FM I ever saw was the one from Singapore, and then last year encore. And they were more like concerts. So, beside some little clips from his FMs (and from a very few other actors), this was my first time watching a traditional FM. Or at least traditional for JG. Because It had nothing to do with the clips I watched from other actors. Well, let’s say I was very anxious about me liking the format. People talking for hours and me just sitting is not something I think I would like. Of course, JG prove me wrong. How could I doubt him?
The MC and JG worked together before and they had great rapport. They were always teasing each other, and the MC was very helpful in making JG do what we wanted him to do. Was it al scripted? Probably most of it. Do I care? Not a little bit. Everything looked so natural and engaging.
BTW, I’m using Girly’s review to help me keep my thoughts in order, so from time to time I will borrow her words. A big, big hug to you Girly:
He intoruduced the man of the show and asked LJG to walk on stage like super model. Yeah, he walked like a super HOT model.
This was the first time I think he came near where I was. And I was impressed by his looks again. Like seriously, how it is possible for him to look better than before, every time. The way he walked, his gaze, his smile, his beautiful face. Seriously again, he looks way better in person than in pictures or dramas.
And he looked happy. Like really, really happy. Last year was so emotional and raw. This year was so full of laughter and happiness. It was contagious. And when you are happy it shows. He was glowing.
Later he was asked to tell us his recent or previous acitvities such as a trip to Japan that he really enjoyed alot, jiujitsu excersice, and shooting Lawless Lawyer.
When he talked about his trip to Japan he was like a little kid. He must have really loved being disguised as Mario and run cars in Japan without being recognized. He needs time for himself and live a normal live, my poor baby.
When he talked about Jiu-jitsu he insisted that he wasn´t doing it because of the drama. He was doing it because he loved it, and currently it was the thing he liked best to do. And he wanted to do it for a long, long time. Correct me if I got it wrong, but he said that if ever he needed to stop his acting career he would continue with Jiu-jitsu and maybe we could see him next not in a FM but a Jiu-jitsu exhibition. Of course, he immediately said that he wanted to be an actor for a long, long time.
So, as the director learnt that he was doing Jiu-jitsu, he asked him to include some Jiu-jitsu scenes in the drama. Our JG was so proud because it will be his first time doing a Jiu-jitsu choreography.
Mc Ding Dong wonder whether jiujitsu give him chocolate bar abdominal muscles and LJG was too shy to show it for us LOL
This was so funny. JG loves to tease us. So, he kept the elusive abs elusive. But he made us a promise. When his abs were in better shape he would take a selfie. MC laughed and insisted that his face must be included in the selfie, so we could know for sure it was him (did I say before how much I loved MC?). I promised myself I would use Soompi Powers and make a shout here so to remember him his promise. I’m ashamed because I didn´t do it ASAP as I promised, but better now than ever. JOON GI SHI, YOU MUST TAKE A SELFIE AND SHOW US YOUR ABS!
During the Q&A session, he was asked to demontrate his favourite technique of Jiujitsu, and his manager was show up on stage as his opponent LOL. During warming up, I was amazed with his body flexibility
I was amazed too. He’s not so young anymore even when he looks much younger than his actual age. Yet he did everything so effortless. And I’m sure Manager didn´t oppose resistance, but it was so cool and slick the way he climbed upon him and put him down. I don´t know how to explain it. It was just plain awesome. I would die to see him filming an action scene some day or a real Jiu-jitsu exhibition.
BTW when he put on the uniform the MC teased him by saying that he did it like a model and asked him to do it again. He looked like a model and it was a drooling moment.
And when he tied his white belt he apologized because it was only white. He looked so shy and adorable. Cute!

I was the same! when i was younger i lived out of my country twice and gained some weight both times (like 10 kgs). but know i lost weight and i think i will stay this way. His toned body he will only show sneak peaks from time to time just to make us greedy for more!

People might have different opinion regarding his weight, some said he's too thin, some said he's thin, but i believe all agreed he's not fat right? I personally have no issue with his weight since he looks happy and healthy, his skin still glowing, he practices jiujitsu regularly, he maybe in low carbo practice but he loves meat and he ate meat a lot (based on his latest ig update).
This is the first time i hear that his current weight gives less credence to the action scenes thus he fails to have power behind a punch. I've never though the power of the punch depends only on body weight, there is other thing that can generate power and i call it acceleration. And believe me, he's not just fast. He is super fast! When I watch him doing fighting action scene, i won't dare to blink
Girly! i'm so happy to have you back here!!! i was planing to highlight some of the things you said but i would probably end highlighting almost all.
Now about his weight. I think he looks good. and happy with his looks. And as long as he is healthy, and he looks healthy, i'm ok with his weight. Now as a person who used to have more weight and suddenly got thin a few years ago and can´t gain more weight no matter what i eat, all i can say is maybe his metabolism changed. he's doing a lot of excersice and i'm sure he eats well. he knows his fans worry about him. but i'm sure he takes good care of himself. as always, i choose to trust him. (BTW he has such a lovely and toned body, i love everything about it)
