Quite the plot twist with the blind girl...though I sort of saw it comin' as the guy had this sinister smirk on his face. Jin-Goo should do a BL-type drama next ha-ha!!:w00t::lol:

However I find his acting kind of weak? At least in comparison to IU. Which is odd, 'cause Jin-Goo has more acting experience than she:mellow:

Oh, I thought I'm the only one who had that feeling too. Somehow I feel that there's something lacking which I can't really tell. I mean, he's a great actor, watched him in The Crowned Clown and he was phenomenal there portraying two complex characters. Maybe I was not used seeing this type of character of his so there's that little feeling, but he is doing an amazing job portraying this slightly coward, frail human being that he is. So I guess it's the character, not the acting itself, he is soo likeable as a character, I really like him, I mean, who wouldn't? Such an adorable pumpkin :D. That perhaps I'm looking for that teeny-weeny dark part of his besides being good...ha ha..since as of now, he's this one-dimensional character compared to IU's character. I also wanna see some more depth to his character. Give his character a little more spice, more savory ^_^..

@stella77 Here's that gif you want ..

@vangsweetie637 I did watch Supernatural as well but had to stop it since it was still ongoing then, and that was years ago...ha ha..never gotten to pick it up again :).

So far, out of IU's wardrobe, I really like this one...not only because blue is my fave color but I like the style of it, conservative but with a touch of sexiness in it..and that slit..wish they had shown more of that bare legs tho in episode 3...ha ha..

If MW will be free, does it mean she is still alive?  is CS be that one who will free her?

Currently, her time was actually frozen, so she isn't dead but not actually living. And it's how her time flows again when the tree started to bloom. And yes, CS seems to be the key to all of that happening.

  2. .. we can finally see a jealous Man Wol next week ...ha ha ha... and looks like she's now determined and confident CS won't leave, I wonder what changed her mind?...the k-k-kiss, perhaps?  funnygifsbox.com_2016-06-15_17-49-36.gif ..beware, Chan Sung, you don't want a Man Wol to get jealous, ha ha...she might flip everything up! :D

Also noticed that only 4 eps out and lots of OSTs already :)..

  3. ...whoot!!! this just keeps getting better and better! :D...I really love MW and CS's characters, they are both straightforward and not holding back in expressing what they feel or think, I always love those types of characters, as I'm quite the opposite :P. And dang, this is what it should be, avoid too much spoilers like reading news articles ahead of the broadcast so that you, like myself, will be surprised and made my viewing much more exciting, because I never actually expected that KISS scene funnygifsbox.com_2016-07-01_16-02-14.gif !!! Female lead taking the lead!..LOL..love it when women characters do this! :P..me LIKEY!

Like many others, I too don't want the writers to take the typical reincarnation route. Because there's that old lady, Ma Go, who as of now, we have no idea what or who she is. Maybe she's like a god, a fairy or what but it's very clear she holds the key to everything. It all started because of her. We saw how she can make the tree bloom at will and then later gave it to CS and suddenly just vanished, which was also the start of him having those dreams of MW. And like she said, she just opened a path. CS might just be seeing it in someone else's perspective, perhaps from that guy who MW likes, making him more like the "key" also to figuring out what grave sin did MW do to deserve such punishment. Or someone to help her stir those hidden, forgotten feelings she once has that actually makes her "human". Someone also mentioned somewhere about those flowers, remember Ma Go said flowers is a good birthday gift too when she met young CS and he agreed and told his father. So when his father ended up in Hotel del Luna and came upon the tree, it bloomed, and that flower is meant for CS. It bloomed for CS. So I think that was the start.

The concept of the drama is really good. And let me just borrow these words from someone who I read somewhere, that LOVE can bring a kingdom on its knees and MW's castle is no exception...or in this case, LOVE can even make a dead tree bloom funnygifsbox.com_2016-08-09_20-05-50.gif . I have always loved the symbolism of tree as life, so I really find it endearing how it was used here.

  4. ...really like the first episode :D...I was hesitant but when I saw it's subbed already, heck, let me just check and see....lol..and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it! ...I hope the Hong Sisters won't disappoint this time, as many people have been.

IU and YJG's chemistry is surprisingly good as well! Unlike some of you, I didn't actually watch him in Absolute BF, but only in The Crowned Clown, so no problem adjusting to his character here :). IU's wardrobe is on point...though I wish she stayed away from too red lipstick..she looks prettier with light tone. But I guess it has to match with her fierce personality.

And LMAO...for a moment, I forgot this is actually a ghost drama so I was so shocked when the woman removed her sunglasses and then...BAM!...no eyes...ha ha ha...

Hope this drama maintains this pacing and momentum.

P.S. I love Oh Ji Ho's cameo

Am not sure if this has been asked before, Saya is rather weak in his reflex compared to his twin as he sort of can't even fight off Tanya when she attacked him previously.....So he is the one who is strong in mind while the other twin is strong in physique? I felt so emotional when the guy in wahan tribe killed himself over having no water n food etc n those idiots captors who kept demeaning all the slaves they capture.

Yes, the twins are rather opposite. I understand that about Saya because he's been locked for most his life, so he might not have been exposed to any physical fights compared to ES. It's quite befitting actually, the other is strong on something the other twin is weak of, and vice versa.

Oh my saaaaaame !!! This is why I don't really like shoujo kkkk. Anyway, though I like the action/plotting scenes, I would like some lovey-dovey scenes kkk:rolleyes:

I'm waiting for that scene when Eunseom and Tanya will dance together, they mentioned it in an interview. Or maybe it's Saya, because they hugged each other in the preview in Sept and maybe Saya wanted to learn the dance so they did it ? I caaan't waiiiit:wub:

Some shoujos are too cliche^^...you just have to watch/read the very rarely good ones :P.

They mentioned about a dance? Hmmm..I think that would be from Episode 2?...you know, when ES was trying to teach TY, they did dance together there in that scene.

I really love how they portray the romance stuff in this drama. I am always a fan of shonen anime couples because of their subtlety. That's why I am very hooked with the love story here too. :)

Yes, love the romance even if it ain't really about it :D. Oh, I see that you also enjoy shounen anime couples, when I watch shounen animes, I actually don't mind zero romance. But if I'm watching a romance anime and it doesn't turn out the way I want it to, I tend to really get upset about it...ha ha...but if we're talking about the subtleness in terms of romance, Japan is very good at it..that it's so perfectly executed that you keep wanting more out of it...lol...

Ha ha...but that's just me...I am still hoping it's not the case though...I just want a happy ending for ES-TY because I believe they deserve it. It's a reward they absolutely deserve :D.

Off topic, btw, were you the other Filipino here? I forgot the person who mentioned she is :P.

    Tanya's description was as ES's 1st love.....meaning ES got other loves, #2, #3 I dunno…..

At this point, I don't think the very first summary or synopsis of this drama is accurately correct, if not, it might be even wrong. The description of the characters from when this drama even began can be ignored for now :D. Let's wait and see the ending if it matches it one bit.

As long as they give me a good and a logical ending, I will definitely be satisfied with it even if half of the cast will be dead. hihi :D

Speaking of anyone being dead, I'm quite surprised we didn't have much deaths like what I anticipated...or even death flags (except for Saya coz I feel like he will :P)...well, of course, there's Tagon's father, his brother, Danbyeok, and then there's Sateunik. However, I feel like lots of characters, even minor ones, heck even Mugwang, are still alive.  There's no unnecessary killing of someone that would trigger a revenge on one major character. Well, except those slaves, or Wahans, the Neanthals that was brutally killed...etc..perhaps that is why I feel everything will end well at the end.

Even if I like Saya, I also think that Tanya doesnt like Saya romantically. That's why I said that I truly feel sorry for the boy. Unrequited love really hurts, you know? :D Those soft gazes from Tanya are because she sees Eunsoom in him. I felt like Saya assumed that Tanya likes him back. That is double ouch. Poor poor Saya.

I know, his love is already doomed from the very beginning, already predestined, and probably won't even have  a chance to bloom :).

    13 hours ago, dlvelasco said:

Hi chingus, apologies if this was already discussed but I couldn’t fully grasp why Tagon cannot kill Saya even though he has messed up with his plans many times?

Yup, no clearly defined reason yet as to why he cannot kill Saya. My take is that even though he doesn't like the fact that he's an Igutu, you know, being that his own father wanted to kill him for that, how many people were killed and will be killed if his identity is to be revealed, how much he rejects or abhor his own blood, perhaps he sees Saya as a reminder of who he is, of his blood. Saya who is so proud of his blood, in contrast to him, someone who himself cannot be. Or, simply just wanting another Igutu, like himself, on his side.

    -----------------------------------------------

And since we're talking about the romance department here, I just wanna say my personal opinion as well. I know that this drama is not totally about romance, but somehow it manages to showcase it in a very subtle but distinct way. We are very used to those cliche romantic dramas that we forget what love is supposed to be. It's also about hope, loyalty, trust, respect...at times, it's sweet, bittersweet, heart-wrenching....but REAL. Taelha and Tagon's love depicts trust. ES and TY's love transcends distance...it's about hope. The obstacles they had to go through...finding their own self..learning that life isn't all about rainbows and sunshine...gaining power so that they can stand on their own....before they finally can be together. I know a lot of you have mentioned ES-TY might not have a happy ending..but idk, for me, I feel like they will. I'm not talking about them having to marry each other or anything, but just I know they will have their HE. As I have already mentioned before, perhaps the ending will be when they finally are reunited. Though, I would want to see them spend time together to catch up with those episodes they've been separated too :D.

Sorry guys if u already discussed about this before. I can’t read all this thread because I still need to read all post in “Genius advertising Lee Tae Baek” thread, I looking for its theme/scoring /instruement ost that I can’t find in anywhere else, even on youtube. I already searched for years.

But now I’m very curious about this Eeunsom’s father too.

No, Ragaz is already dead. That is Yiseuroobeu and Rottip (one of the Neanthal babies Ragaz and Asa Hon saved). Yiseuroobeu, we can assume, is about the same age as Ragaz, he appeared during the meeting in Episode 1 between the Sarams and the Neanthals. You can rewatch that episode again, he was there :).

SJK is amazing as both Saya & Eun Seom... Gosh he is so amazing... he was this psycho as Saya for whom killing is as easy as drinking tea ... and eun seom is so sensitive that he cannot even think of killing a person who is a lost cause ... two completely different character and Song Joongki playing with such ease... this guy is good... he is reminding me of his performance in werewolf boy... i could not stop crying in that movie,.,

Couldn't agree more! I really like his acting here, it showcases the extent of his acting and he can go further more. I honestly didn't finish DOST, but am loving his acting in this drama. Not an avid fan of him but these types of characters suit him well. Reminds me of Yeo Jin Goo from his acting in The Crowned Clown, portraying two different people with the same face as well.

i think this drama is beyond any triangle and lovey dovey relationships... Eun Seom loves Tanya and Tanya loves Eun Seom./. its pure , unadulterated love...lover since being born... saya came along... but i feel love triangle should not be focus...the focus should be power struggle...and Eun Seom aka Aramun Haesulla's rise with Asa Sin's aka Tanya's blessing... Saya will just be a tool... however , it will be interesting to watch Saya's reaction to knowing that Tagon killer his real family and Eun Seom is his brother...

I believe that they are doing a pretty good job not focusing on the love triangle, because I myself didn't feel much on the love triangle side. The drama has been focused more on, yes, the power struggle, and the growth of each characters, mainly ES and TY.

I can't decide if I like ES more or SY cause SY because his character is so much more intriguing than the simple ES. Somehow  I am feeling the SY TY (more like lover) more than the TY ES (they seem more like friends)

At first, I was very intrigued by Saya as well, that at one point he kinda look good together with Tanya. But I was always team ES, because even though they've been separated for too long and she's been spending more screen time with Saya, I still feel she and ES have the chemistry, you know, even if it's SJK playing them...lol...and just like Tagon and Taelha, their love and trust is on another level too. So agree with you @BlueNotes that SJK is such an amazing actor that I actually see two different people :P.  I remember this scene when Tanya  calls Saya "master" and then looked at him with a sad face thinking of ES, you can literally feel from Kim Ji Won's acting that she's looking at Saya (SJK) and yet she's thinking ES (still SJK). You know what I mean?...LOL...KJW did an amazing job there as well!

Tanya prolly mite have feelings for Saya which she is unaware of. She got this longing yet confused look whenever she looks at Saya. Maybe because of the lies she told about her dream where she is told to protect him etc.

Idk, but for me, I don't think she has any romantic feelings for SY, she cares for him, yes, that I know. She backed out from using Saya as a stepping stone and regretted meeting him, because every time he sees him, it reminds her of ES. She knows they are twins but the only person she has feelings for is ES. That longing look she always give Saya is whenever she thinks of ES. Just like my aforementioned comment about KJW's acting, she makes it so believable that even though she's looking at Saya, she's thinking of ES.

One thing I noticed from ep 12 was that Mubaek is also from the Mulgil Tribe. Tagon mentioned it during the sacred trial. I wonder if that will have any significance later on when EunSeom + supporters return to Arthdal since it was actually brought up. Maybe Sanung saved him from the life in the mines?

It might just be me, but I actually thought the Neanthals' story might have ended when they walked off without NunByeol. Maybe they might return right at the end of Part 3 if she decides to go with them to rebuild the bloodline, but it felt as if they were in Arthdal to look for her, the last female Neanthal alive, and not the twins (because I can't imagine yet why they would want to involve themselves in the war of the Sarams), because they wanted to see if there was a hope of growing the Neanthal family. And the conversation of Rottip and Yiseuroobi, felt like the lines you say as you walk away in an end of movie scene.

Random theory to throw out there - what if Satenik's wife is an Igutu too? He didnt show the aversion to the purple blood from the start, and it looked like there was a scene where ES was wrapping her arm in the preview too. I think it would be a nice contrast actually, to have a civilization outside of the Union where the Igutu are not feared but respected. Maybe ES can embrace his background more by meeting her - so there's more of a story instead of just meeting someone's wife to get an army behind him?

Regarding Mubaek, you are right, I didn't notice it before and I had to watch again where Tagon mentioned Mubaek is of Mulgil Tribe. This is the very first time we'll be hearing the tribe he actually belongs to. He did mention to Mugwang that they owe their life to the former Sanung so, yeah, he could have probably saved them, perhaps, from slavery. Pretty sure that will come in handy later on, I know the writer isn't just throwing it out there without any reason, since every detail, every word that has been uttered are all connected together.

About the Neanthals, you know what, I kinda had that feeling also that we may never see them again...however, I don't think that the purpose of their reappearance is merely just finding a female Neanthal for them to reproduce? I mean, that would be meaningless and kind of a waste, don't you think, esp. now that we know there are still some of them out there? Of course, I also know they won't probably join the war of the Sarams, since they would be the very last creature who would want to be involved with them, unless they had a reason to or if it involves Neanthals. I just think that we'll probably be able to see Neanthals, Igutus and Sarams coexist at the end. And I just wanna see them meet ES...lol...or be of help to him in any way :P

ES meeting other Igutus who are respected and not feared would be nice, since all he knows is that Igutus are considered lower than animals. That would be one way for him to understand and as you say, fully embrace his "Igutuness", if that's even a word :D, while we all know in contrast that Saya is very much proud of his blood, and him trying to prove and wanna to show it to the world to Tagon says it all.

  12. Tanya, I'm coming for you....

    Eunseom, I'm coming for you...

Okay, whew...the ending was intricately done 11-6.gif. I've gotta say, when ES and the rest are slowly being lifted up from that place, I was on the edge of my seat thinking, "will they be able to successfully escape...or not?" And when Tanya was about to start dancing, my heart is literally pounding :D. Just an absolutely, perfect way to end S2. When Tanya was dancing and recalling her mother's teachings, and then everything that's been taught to her without any explanations and how they all connected together of her finding the bell gave me goosebumps. The prediction and the prophecy is so detailed that I kinda feel sorry for her as well because it's like her life was already predetermined. It's kinda sad.

I was hoping Sateunik will survive but...yeah, he didn't. Wish he'll be able to see the sea wherever he is now. So, the mention of Olmadae of White Mountain Tribe, Badoru of Kaeran Tribe, Chanaragi of Mulgil Tribe, Ipsaeng of the Ago Tribe, and Sateunik's tribe, Momo. They all represent their tribes who will become Eunseom's ally, the representative of the most beautiful tribe, Wahan funnygifsbox.com_2016-07-01_16-02-54.gif

I kinda of like that simple moment between the Daekan forces when they were gossiping about Tagon's son and who the mother is...ha ha...finally, I smiled a little while watching this drama because I swear, I remember only crying most of the time...lol.

Yup, that's quite a mystery why her eyes don't look blue normally. But we did see her blue eyes on Episode 12, guess she can just show it whenever she wants to.

Next season will mainly be about Eun Seom and he is on his way to becoming the Sword that slays the world, hypeee! I'm also interested in what role the new female character in the preview will play in the final season, she seems to be a general of an army. And when will the other Neanthal kid that Ragaz and Asa Hon raised appear anyway?

Yeah, so as someone mentioned it, I'm pretty sure she is Sateunik's wife of the Momo Tribe, played by the Japanese actress/model, Karata Erika. Since she said, "We must repay his kindness". I believe they will meet and ES might tell her about her husband and all...and yup, another ally. So since Sateunik died, she will be the representative of the Momo Tribe. Thus, she'll return the favor.

Yes, the lady in preview is Satanic's wife and now ES has an army to help him!! I think the preview is for Ep 13 and 14 , so hopefully it will move fast!!

Too many questions!! And to wait till September for it!! Not fair!!

PS: When will Mugwang finally die ..Tanya predicted him dying twice and he is yet to die lol:D

Ha ha..I was thinking the same, why would Yiseuroobeu say, "I want you to join us and find yourself a decent young man, although you might not find them so attractive" when we have a fine, decent young man *cough cough* Rottip who's standing there funnygifsbox.com_2016-06-24_19-40-10.gif ...and also the other kid who was with him with Asa Hon, who we yet to see, I bet he'll be a fine young man as well :P. And yes, I thought I'll be able to see the death of Mugwang but...okay, guess not...lol. I also wanted him to witness Tanya being the descendant as true before he does^^...I would feel sorry for Mubaek tho if he died, because I think he's the only family he's got. However, I'm anticipating when Mugwang finally hears those words, "You're too late", because that will be his end.

@herina_90 agree with you there, that Tanya and ES have the biggest character development. I thought Taelha would be more of the villain type who trusts no one, but I was wrong. She and Tagon are just the same, tho I'm not a fan of their characters, am glad to see them back each other up, atleast at the end of everything, they have each other.

@stella77 @Anh Nguyen Roff  Five Neanthals, so we have Nunbyeol, Rottip, Yiseuroobeu, the other kid who was with Rottip, and then an unknown one. Two new characters yet to be revealed on S3.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am also very curious as to what will Mubaek do now, Tanya is already out in the open, and he is yet to find ES. Was trying to reveal Tanya as the direct descendant his plan as well?....hmmm...

And btw, when Yiseuroobeu asked Rottip, "Aren't you angry at the Sarams?", I love how his answer basically shows how Asa Hon might have influenced his thinking of the Sarams.

I'm really excited to see how Yiseuroobeu and Rottip will meet ES, I really want them to meet badly, along with all the Neanthals, how it will be revealed to both ES and SY that they are twins.

I feel like ES and TY will have a happy ending..they've been separated for too long (too many episodes), and like their reunion, along with conquering Arthdal, will be the end of it all. Normally in a historical drama, the main leads are always together for half the duration of the drama and then separated or lets go of one another for their own sakes...but here, we barely even see them together...only for a couple of episodes together, and then separated for the rest of the two Seasons....and yet despite that, the desire to meet each other again is what actually drives them to live and/or drives the plot as well.

Watching it again, i think Nunbyeol wasn't the other child with AsaHon... She looked a lot younger when she was found compared to the scenes where Rottip was a kid. Not really sure what's the writer's purpose of having NunByeol as a Neanthal in the entire storyline - maybe the bit of her eight lineages being severed is meant for something? And I'm pretty sure the Neanthals are looking for Saya/Eunseom in Arthdal.

Totally agree. The other kid is a boy.

So we have yet to see him. Nunbyeol is probably just another Neanthal survivor. And yup, agree as well that it's ES they're looking for. I just don't know how they ended up in that place where they treated ES.

I have got to catch up with this drama but i really like Eun Seom and it does seem like his character has lost alot of significance at least thats what it looks like to me.

Kinda agree with you there. I know they were building his character, but it's been too slow. Saya has been hogging the spotlight whom I believe should be of ES (well, no complaints there coz it's still SJK anyways) but, you know, it has been sooooo slow...lot of things have already happened and he has yet to know anything of everything. Don't really get how the writer is gonna work on that.

  14. Yikes...so in the end, Tagon got his hands on Tanya. Curious as to what will happen now. Only one episode...nooo...will they satisfy us for the last episode or just leave us hanging until September comes 12-11.gif Season 3 then should be more than 6 episodes, it ain't enough.

Just like i said.. :)but how is she younger than ES and Saya

Yes, she does look younger compared to SY and ES..but let's just say she's younger looking...ha ha...since people can look younger than their actual age in real life  funnygifsbox.com_2016-06-23_18-29-13.gif .

5 New Characters With The Potential To Shake Things Up In “Arthdal Chronicles”

5 New Characters With The Potential To Shake Things Up In “Arthdal Chronicles”

    Jul 6, 2019
    by C. Hong

As “Arthdal Chronicles” moves solidly into its second half, several new characters have been introduced with the potential to shake things up for the inhabitants of Arth.

“Arthdal Chronicles” is an epic fantasy drama about heroes who write their own legends in the mythical city of Arthdal. Part 1 introduced Eun Seom (Song Joong Ki), a half-human, half-Neanderthal who becomes a warrior to rescue the Wahan tribe, Tanya (Kim Ji Won), the successor and shaman of the Wahan tribe, Ta Gon (Jang Dong Gun), a warrior who aims to be the king of Arth, and Taealha (Kim Ok Bin), an ambitious politician with her eyes on the throne.

    Spoilers

Part 2 introduced a second role for Song Joong Ki as Eun Seom’s twin, Saya, though they were separated when they were young. Last week’s episodes also introduced two Neanderthals, Yiseuroobeu and Rottip, a girl named Nunbyeol, and two slaves named Satenic and Ipsaeng.

    Yiseuroobeu (Song Jong Ho)

    Spoiler

At the beginning of the drama, the inhabitants of Arth banded together to wipe out the Neanderthals (also called Neanthals) in order to take their land for farming. Yiseuroobeu was one of the greatest hunters among the Neanderthals and was in line to be the chieftain before the Neanderthals were wiped out. He attended the initial meeting between the Neanderthals and the tribes of the Arthdal Union and was disposed to be friendly toward humans. However, after the leaders of the Arthdal Union killed his people in a mass genocide, it is expected that Yiseuroobeu is now out for revenge.

    Rottip (2PM’s Nichkhun)

    nichkhun-arthdal-chronicles.jpg

Rottip is an interesting character not only because he is played by 2PM’s Nichkhun, but also because he is the only person who knows that Eun Seom and Saya are twins. The character appeared briefly in Part 1 as a Neanderthal child who was rescued by Asa Hon and Ragaz, Eun Seom and Saya’s parents. After Ragaz was killed and Asa Hon left for Iark with Eun Seom, Rottip joined forces with Yiseuroobeu. His childhood with Asa Hon has taught him about the people and customs of Arth, making him a valuable ally in Yiseuroobeu’s plans. Viewers are also curious as to whether he’ll recognize Eun Seom and Saya if they meet again.

    Ipsaeng (Kim Sung Cheol)

    kim-sung-cheol-arthdal-chronicles.jpg

Ipsaeng is one of the slaves who works the mines with Eun Seom after he is taken prisoner. He is described as a character who will betray anyone for the sake of survival and became a slave after selling out his fellow tribe members. However, he is friendly to Eun Seom and stops the other slaves from bullying him. He dreams of making his escape by stealing gems here and there from the mine, and asks Eun Seom if he would be willing to escape with him. His history of betrayal, however, makes him a dangerous potential ally.

    Nunbyeol (Ahn Hye Won)

    arthdal-chronicles-ahn-hye-won.jpg

Viewers were interested in Nunbyeol from her very first appearance, as she is played by Ahn Hye Won, a Russia-born actress and model also known as Elena Ahn. She is a war orphan who was adopted by the doctor Ha Rim, making viewers curious as to her true parentage. She is learning how to fight with swords, but tires easily and has a weak constitution. She also joins her adopted sister, Chae Eun, in secret meetings of the illegal religious group known as the White Peak’s Hearts. At the end of the latest episode, Nunbyeol was shown retreating in terror after meeting the Neanderthals Yiseuroobeu and Rottip.

    Satenic (Jo Byeong Gyu)

    Spoiler

    jo-byeong-gyu-arthdal-chronicles.jpg

Jo Byeong Gyu also made a strong impression with his first appearance as Satenic, a slave in the same mine as Eun Seom and Ipsaeng. He is the weakest of the slaves and the other slaves frequently bully him as a result. Even though the other slaves despise Eun Seom because he is half-Neanderthal, Satenic is sympathetic and intrigued by Eun Seom, making him a strong contender as a future ally.

Seems like Season 3 will become more interesting. There will be some new faces (foreign) who will be joining for the last Season. And oh, Satenic, didn't know that was his background..omg..lots of allies are slowly rising and showing up.

So, I was right, the actress playing Nunbyeol is of a foreign blood, that's why her acting strikes me as someone amateur yet, most esp. the way she speaks. I wonder why they're using new actors.

At this point, I honestly believe that Season 2 will be the same cast. There's no way things will be wrapped up with this cast this season with the way things have been going.

You mean Season 3? Of course, it'll be the same cast. They only divided this into like 3 seasons. I just hope it won't be just 6 episodes for Season 3, tho.

Hi! I'm from the Philippines and I just finished watching episodes 9 and 10 (they're great!), but another thing that took me by surprise is one of the languages used in episode 9, specifically from 3:15 - 7:30 of the video. I'm a Filipino and  "Waray-waray" is my dialect and I recognized some of the words used as being from Tagalog or Waray-Waray like "ako - me" ; "tubig - water" ; "kaon - eat" ; "itaas - up/above". I could be wrong though as they might have used another language reference. What language do you think did they use? :D

Well, hello there, fellow countryman! :D I was meaning to mention about that language as well, I thought my ears are playing tricks on me when I was watching episode 9, not familiar with the dialect but yeah, I totally heard ako, tubig and kumaon as well. Guess the drama is using some real foreign languages for some of the tribes. I knew that that person isn't a Korean the first time I laid my eyes on him. Didn't know he appeared on some Korean dramas as well.

Also wanna comment about the dream thingy of ES and SY. We all know that Neanthals can dream, no question about that. And from the beginning, we were led to believe that Igutus (in the form of ES) can perhaps dream as well. But then after all the revelations, I think the "dream" ES is seeing is actually just what SY is seeing and vice versa. There was no mention of Tagon (yet) of having a dream, so I think Igutus in general isn't capable of dreaming, probably?...unless..I'm wrong.

Was it really Ragaz?? didn't he die before how can he be alive? does that mean he will recognize his sons? I thought they were robit and the other child that Asa Hon left when she went to the lark???? someone help I am confused

It wasn't, it was Yiseuroobeu, the other adult Neanthal who was in the first ep during the meeting of the Sarams and Neanthals. Wonder how he survived though.

    ---------------

Now, everything is being set up nicely, every piece of the puzzle is starting to show up and move on its own. Glad to see ES finally trying to escape and make his move, about time.

Like some of you mentioned already, I also feel like Saya might not have a happy ending eventually. He may be calculative, cunning, conniving, but he has his this soft spot for Tanya for some reason. Tanya seems to be the anchor of both ES and Saya, as she is the most important to ES's life and Saya, being drawn to her, she becomes the person that teaches him what is good and not since all he does are basically by the book. Did you even see the look in his face when Tanya brushed off his hand and trying to leave, that hurt...and desperation of wanting her to stay with him...so I can see how he might do everything in his power to protect and keep Tanya by his side...which may also lead to his death (still hoping it won't be the case tho since he is one of those three objects).

Pretty sure I wasn't the one excited to finally see the Neanthals back... and in Arthdal :). I'm guessing Nichkhun isn't just simply doing a cameo since he is Rottip....good to know :D..as this will be his first Korean drama appearance ever. Their timing is just so perfect..."The day a paradise flycatcher wears another color, there shall be a catastrophe". I love it when they made us think that it was all a plan of Asa Ron when in reality, a catastrophe has already started taking its shape. And this Nunbyeol girl, wonder who she really is and why Rottip and Yiseuroobeu went in that place...guess we'll know it on the next episodes. Really didn't realize it but Neanthals can actually glow their eyes blue at will...I loved it when Yiseuroobeu did it ^^. Went back to episode 1 where Ragaz did the same thing, I think it's probably why they can see clearly at night. The most exciting thing I'm looking forward to is when the Neanthals finally meet ES and SY..heck..even Tanya :P.

I feel that Season 3 might be action packed, since Seasons 1 and 2 seems to be quite slow leaving only 2 eps for Season 2, that I even think this shouldn't just be 18 episodes if they planned it to be divided in 3 seasons. Wonder why they didn't go at least 20-24 episodes or more. They should have shown in Season 1 the origin of Neanthals too...I think that their story is quite interesting. We didn't even have much understanding of how they came about in ep 1 and then they just wiped them out (well, at least most of them). I really wanted to see more of Ragaz and Asa Hon as well. 18 eps seems not quite enough so let's see how the writer will squeeze it all in in Season 3.

After Season 2 ends, Hotel del Luna will take the time slot of Arthdal...and probably after it ends, we'll get Season 3.
