    @fluffychim1013 frankly i'm in it for the ZLY-LGX chemistry and romance and so far... well, ....leaves a LOT of room. I like ZLY and  have seen some of her shows (skipped the ones where the chemistry with the male lead is just OFF). If hadn't read parts of the novel itself, there's just way too much political conspiracy and bloodshed for my taste (don;t need more of the same in both waking life and entertainment). The adaptation shows erratic consistency in so far as following the original storyline. I don't know how much collaboraion there was between the writer and the script-writing, as well as director. Some parts have way too much detail like it was following the novel and other parts just glossed over if not omitted. Too many variables. Some youtube promo vid mentioned recenty (yesterday) that the show has 60 episodes. I have known chinese shows to just do that kind of silly stunt to drag a show on for the ratings and profit and that can make a show drag in certain parts where they have decided to add available material to stretch a show out instead of the editing floor (like Diamond Lover was blatantly 20 episodes longer than originally scheduled and Rain was not featured in any of those scenes).  At this juncture I am disappointed enuf to go watch old reruns (TMoPB, CDYY, etc) and the new show(s) as sub-standard as they are, reading other novels, rather than anticipating what is going to happen with this show. Kinda sad really,.... the show had so much promise only for it to start out strong and have wishy-washy management ruin it with greeed and poor planning. Can you tell I hate cliff hangers?!?!?!? On the uptake, I saw a recent vid on PA2 that says that Angelababy is already shooting another show and won't be available for PA2 and the director has temporarily shelved filming PA2.......

    @lovehuche - yes PA is all about the tension between the 2 leads and the fighting. Yup me too keep rewatching TMoPB till the non-Chinese folks around me actually know the tunes from that show by heart..... hahahahahaha. Am waiting for YM's next period drama xuanYaoNuWang and Dilraba x LBB. Until then.... sigh....

I just love this drama so much that words can't explain it. Their love is so real. Every character/cast/actor is special in their own way, and it was so beautifully directed and filmed. 

    @ultimateauj have you watched Princess Agents  yet? that is about all that's good out there right now.

    WOOOO hooo recently heard over youtube videos that they are ready to shoot TMOPB2 starring both YM and MZ again but minus Vengo (BOOOOHOOOO). After having read the rest of the book, can't imagine how a much younger newbie actor can take over the role and esp since Pillow Book 2 is mosty about DHDJ and FJ's relationship.....anyone else out there tracking this too???

So I don't know if they will get married, etc. But it does seem like they end up together at the end. ZLY filmed a lot of scenes just with LGX and the actor that plays Yue Qi, where from her style fans think that she looks like a married woman so who knows. It is all speculation. I personally think that it will end when CQ finds that YWY is alive and they will either smile or hug.  

    I have not seen anything about ZLY saying she wont come back for a sequel. They havent asked her or about them having a script for part 2 ready. Can you link me?

    @mrsyooknit I go thru so much junk promo stuff on Youtube for PA - dunno if I can't find that one again but if I do... willl post the link(s)

    @mundane9  yeah i understand that part but the the PD supposed to shorten the war and all unecessary acenes to be they should have focus on the best scenes they should have focus on YWY and XE love story and not on any other part of the book they are just dragging people into a choitic drama series they miss the good part already....if this will really leave us hanging then there is no reason to watch for the season 2 it will be just like legend of chusen again and the journey it doesnt have a satisfying ending.....

    @Kim Da yeah unfortunately this is an example of greed and poor planning. I agree - no reason to watch PA2 like no reason to watch JoF2..ZLY was in that Prime Minister series and the director was so impressed he wanted-wrote  a different series starring her and Chen Xiao. In the end that did not happen either. Such an enigmatic world chinese tv series production is.... I guess it is rather a crap shoot as no one knows if a series is going to be successful or not till post production as chinese period dramas rely heavily on CGI special effects that occur BTS post filming when production has wrapped up and actors are off to the next gig....

    @cenching Harper's Bazaar posed a 2 part question on ZLY:

    Part 1: they asked her to describe-evaluate-define LGX

    Part 2: they asked her which fighting-action scene made the deepest impression upon her.

    Her reply was sort of

    Part 1: Handsome-Goodlooking on the outside, soft-hearted on the inside (awhhhhh)

    Part 2: The end of the series when death was imminent that they each-both had courage to confront their innermost feelings and face the loss of it at the same time. To have lost so many people around them.... That scene was the goodbye-separation of the series and also the goodbye-seoaration outside of the series (aka actors saying goodbye to each other)

    Please note there are alll these red words on the video that apppear to be someone BTS commenting on ZLY's facial reactions when answering these questions esp at 0:29 the comment is "using laughter to disguise-mask inner unwillingness to let go" (i guess they are implying she can't bear to let go of LGX)

    @Kim Da the author is collaborating with the producers to adapt the novel into the tv series, but it won't be a 1-for-1 adaptation; contents for tv series will be different from novel except maybe general story line. The tv series only covers about half the entire original novel. ZLY is rumored to have not known this iniitially and only found out later and was disappointed. LGX has said that he was not interested in starring in the sequel unless ZLY is going to do it with him. THe script for PA2 )sequel) has just been completed.....ZLY will not be starring and therefore, it also looks like LGX won't be either....

    @tsukimori one of these kids at least YWY will end up adopting himself but will also meet XE around the time he (the kid) was rescued. In the novel, the kid will reunite with xE after about 8 years maybe? But as they said - they changed the storyline for the tv adaptation so they may change the gender and age of the kid as well......

A little more muscle won't hurt them. I remember a BTS for ten miles of peach blossoms aka eternal love where vengo gao wei guang had to carry dilireba. He said she was heavy. Vengo is even taller than LGX. He's around 195 cm if I'm not mistaken.

    @pawla no apologies needed as I find Vengo HOT!!!!! esp in silvery hair..... and DIlraba at her heaviest has never exceeded 98 lbs....Gimme some of them genes..... tall and lanky ones....

    @gentlelily12 from my perspective - it is about the disappointment overall For starters, #1 YX's promise all along to marry her CQ. Yet another set back. and promise broken regardless if it was foisted on him. SHe's trying to be understanding but stilll - it doesn't stop her from being disappointed. The other point(s) being it has interrupted their plans-arrangements on leaving the city  - as articulated by  @40somethingahjumma who did a banig up job on it.....

    I was really looking forward to the BTS on the running. Lol! I am looking forward to LGX complaining again about ZLY weight and how funny it's going to be. They are hilarious in all the BTS. 

    @turtle0217 either those 2 guys (the other being SD) are joking or they seriously need to head for the gym. One of the things I noticed with BTS when these guys have less clothes on is that LGX has really broad shoulders (frame)  but muscularly is rather skinny-lanky i.e. need some biceps triceps, quads, pecs, abs and the rest. also prob why he looks good in period dramas with the layers of clothing.... hahahahhaa

    @Chii90 can you please let me know which ep or paste the link to the scene u r referencing. Which Prince r u refering to? Based on the limited info - I suspect CQ kneeling in front of YX will be to beg him not to kill YWY - which then means this will precede the icy lake scene when she jumps in to save YWY after YX betrays her trust.

    so 5 cents for repeating myself..... but folks keep wondering why CQ-XE has been so rude to YWY regardless of how hiddenly hice he has been. Yes it is hard to stomach but I totally get it..... 

    She has had a hard life and been surrounded by tragic events, assasinations, slavery, punisment almost her entire life up until this point.... I mean - she's a kid. Her 'real' age today was summarized by the Liang servant reporting that CQ looked about 17-18 years old. In this modern age - some of us may not know what that feels like to only encounter pain, suffering, exploitation, etc from childhood and no memory whatsoever of ever having a happy or marginally good life. I am lulcky compared to her but my mind remembers every single horrible crap that happens(ed) to me and the subsequent walls and drastic decisions I made in reaction to my own personal history. That type of extended exposure to such suffering molds a person and is responsible for turning that person into who they are as an adult. She is now only just beginning to get some form of an improved life as well as experience camaraderie from YX and his compatriots - maybe antiicipating how long some small comforts are going to last before everything goes to hell again coz that is all she knows. All she knows and what little she remembers is nothing good - it will take a long time of people demonstrating kindness, compassion, etc. b4 she really begins to trust anyone (except for maybe YX and even then when he betrays her, she gets another KO in the gut).

    She has not had the lucky princess life of wishing to be with boys-guys coz the olnly ones around her treat her like a servant or curiosity for the day. She is only just now discovering her sexuality aka belated puberty. She has no idea if not totally confused about YWY. Oher than the beginning, YX has been the only one who has been obviously courting her. Now the prince (king's son can't remember his name) is courting her. Tomorrow or soon he will describe how it feels like to fall in love and one can watch her facial expression change as she has had no one to tutor or inform her of such things. From the look on her face, regardless of what she does not say - I suspect what that prince admits will provide her an idea of what she feels for YWY and Yx  - regardless of how nice or not they are to her......

    In this respect I have to admire ZLY for her portrayal of the XE character - it is a far cry from her Xue ShanSHan (while enjoyable series) but totally Pollyanna role(s).or even JoF (very bipolar/yin-yang) portrayal of HQG

    YWY his feeling is transparent now ... even Prince Xiang notice it..just the woman still unaware of his feeling or pretend to not notice.

    Finally the Emperor want to CE with YX so that Yanbei still under control.

    @farhah_1986 actually it is as YX predicted - this is a facade by emperor to killl him by mysterious assassis to deflect his true intentions.....yx managed to escape

    This is the description of the male protagonist in Our Glamorous Time (the new DingMo adaptation that ZLY is starring in) "But when she finally met the one that fit this, she realized how much she liked his impassiveness, his quietness, his persistence, and his loyalty"...... that sounds kinda familiar.....oh wait - kinda dead ringer for YWY-LGX..... ai yahhhhh I would have guaranteed to sign up if it were him.
