Guest JungxYumi
I really like Yellowcard. They have this unique style that I think is slightly different from any other typical bands. But I don't know, most bands sound a like I don't think you've heard enough. Yellowcard is definitely not indie & they definitely do NOT have a unique style. Guest petit_charat
i find MySpace is the place to go for indie/unsigned bands. there are some absolute gems if you look hard enough. i reckon, if you look for one indie band you can look at their "friends" list and find a whole lot more similar sounding bands/artists. i am absolutely loving The Enemy at the moment. they have a really unique modern-Oasis sound to them. check them out at www.myspace.com/theenemycoventry

Guest buuberry
Mainstream = highly publicize? Indie = Unsigned or Signed under a small label? or not many know about? I never understood these terms...can someone clear this up for me. ermm pple uses these terms diff. but from what i understand, mainstream means popular. its diff from indies vs major. indies is basically underground or having no label or under a small one. major is when they get signed onto a major label, like universal records for example. some think tt once you become mainstream... or more popular, they are automatically major. but i guess tt really depends on the band itself. some bands prefer to remain an indies band, thou they are no longer underground anymore.
