Lee Min-ho, Big Bang, Kim Na-young win social media awards

Hallyu actor Lee Min-ho is among several celebrities to receive an award for services to social media.

The Social Network Service Industry Development Institute held its annual awards ceremony on Tuesday in Yeouido, Seoul.

Lee was awarded for promoting information services in Korea, while K-pop group Big Bang won a special distinction for promoting Internet use in Korea.

Television personality Kim Na-young won an award for promoting the social media industry, and novelist Lee Oi-su also won an award for contributing to the social media industry.

The SNSIDI was formed to promote a healthy social media culture and its industrial growth in Korea, and holds an annual awards ceremony to recognize individual contributions.

Kim has “positively promoted” the active use of social media, as assessed by the SNSIDI. Kim opened a forum for her published book on social media accounts, ranging from discussions over its cover design to its title, and also broke the news of her marriage on Instagram in April.

Lee Min-ho wins award for leading and promoting healthy communication online, 2015 Korea SNS Industry Grand Award

Actor Lee Min-ho has received President Award of National Information Society Agency at 2015 Korea SNS Industry Grand Award.

SNS Industry Grand Award has been established this year to acknowledge an individual, groups or organizations, who played an exemplary role in online communication. The award is hosted by Social Network Service Industry Development Institute and sponsored by Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Korea Internet & Security Agency.

Lee Min-ho is holding the first position domestically in various SNS communication channels including his Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and mobile messenger. By sharing his sincere and truthful information about him in appropriate manners, he used the SNS communications to bring up his local and global fans together. He is also praised for leading the healthy culture and spreading hallyu widely.

He currently has numerous online friends including the 27 million friends on his Chinese Weibo account, and 16 million friends on his Facebook.

According to the statistics by Social Bakers, Lee Min-ho's SNS ranked 26th among actors globally, which is higher than Zac Efron at 29th and Jonny Depp at 32nd.

Lee Min-ho will star in the Asian blockbuster, "Bounty Hunters", a joint movie project by Korea, China and Hong Kong investment.

There is a mistake from Korean → Chinese → English, ranked 26th is his facebook followers, not total SNS followers.

I'm busy lately, only post the translation of the paragraph before interviews first:

The distance between you and a big star may be not so faraway as your imagination.
