I am not going to the GB thread because I want to avoid spoilers but I am guessing from some glances I gave to some reviews Minho gave a very good performance.He took successfully  a very big step in his career ,working and learning  from some of the best actors in Korea.
 Jung Ji Young is one of the best for me.
Kim Rae Won is a good experience actor.
I try to see it from this angle. How beneficial is for Minho .
I have no idea what is considered a flop in Korea but if GB ends up with a 3milllion views I believe its a very decent number for a crime genre movie.
Grab some of your friends and go enjoy the movie .Forget everything about tickets..  : )

for 2 months I've been here reading everything Minho related but it was today that I decided to join soompi officially xDI envy all of those who can watch Ganagnam1970 in their theatres, since it'll never release in my country I have to wait till next year to watch it online *sigh*

@Alma22‌ GB is shown only for at least 11 days, and so far it already earn 1.6 plus admission, for an R19 film thats pretty good., it will probably run in the theaters for a while, so hopefully it will reach 3 million admission, i heard that's the breaking point, ..so dont be sad, . im excited to watch the movie this coming saturday.

Any news on where GB will be playing in NY?  I keep scouring the net and all I ever find is mention of it playing in LA.  They did say it was being released in NY on Feb 6th too, didn't they?  I didn't hallucinate that part? lol.

I'm sorry but this talk about G'70's "declining popularity" on account of ONE DAY's "slide", ignoring the fact it was #1 for 9 of the 11 days that it has been showing, smacks of "troll-ism" to me.  Add to this the fact that the #1 movie that kicked G'70 out of the top on 1/31 remains to have LESS TOTAL VIEWS to date despite opening on the same day and without any audience restriction---making the phrase "declining popularity" a bit too harsh and premature, isn't it? [-(
Furthermore, this 3M-views threshold was uttered by Minho; upon further analysis, I doubt if it's a profit point, but more of a psychological target by which any movie is deemed a box office success or not.  (In the US, I believe it's $30M in terms of opening weekend sales.) If for profit, I think that the producers already made that (and more) when the movie's distribution rights were sold to China for 10-billion-won, the highest-ever price paid for a Korean movie.  [source]
Minoz, let's continue to focus on the POSITIVES ===> G'70 has reached 1.6M domestic views; total screens remain competitive despite newer releases; more positive media reviews coming in, etc.  Any movie's success relies on POSITIVE word-of-mouth.   It is scheduled to release to more countries this week so let's not dampen the enthusiasm of people who have yet to watch it.  >-

Hello Chinggus! gangnam Blues, fighting! I'm a newbie here but have been following this thread since 2014. Like most of you, I've been captivated by LMH since I discovered him in 2013. I've watched all his dramas and I LOOOOVE all his characters! He owned each one of them and I really appreciate his acting which I find so natural! And his eyes!!! So beautiful and soulful! Thank you for that positive note on Gangnam 1970  " popularity".I wasn't that much interested in the box office numbers but I thought the decline was alarming as I love Mino too much and always expect his movie to be on the number one spot. I was relieved after reading your post. Hope Mino would feel the same way too if he happens to read it.. :-*
