*** I've re-watched his latest drama "A Shop for Killers'.  “A Shop for Killers” is a quality drama. It's got this quick and exciting pace. I really like it. I’m excited to watch the S2 since A Shop for Killers ends with the reveal of Jin-man getting out of the taxi, alive but wounded and beaten. It was a cliffhanger ending. I always love watching Netflix original because it has shorter EPs like 8 usually….. There’s intense action and no romance in this drama. It's good.  :Ohboy3:

*** He is known for often portraying intense characters on screen, but, Lee Dong Wook’s real-life silly personality is also widely acknowledged especially during his interaction with fans. He always has this chaotic and humorous energy. When on set, he is not too different, either. The picture (below), taken in between shots of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 shows Lee Dong Wook with his co-star Ryu Kyungsoo. While the latter threw up a peace sign at the camera, Lee could be seen reading what appeared to be his script. The twist in the picture, however, is in the fact that the script was placed on top of the head of a staff member standing in front of him. The staff member’s height, much shorter than him, served as a great advantage as she didn’t have to do much to be the perfect reading stand. hahaha - The post quickly gathered millions of views. They ask if there were any new openings for this specific job. This is an unusual scenario. You might think that he was being rude, but, Lee Dong Wook is known for being very close with his staff, and often pokes fun and loves to play around with them.   :Megalol:  :kaching3:

*** The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards nominations are out & I feel sad & bad that Lee Dong Wook deserved nomination for "A Shop for Killers" but was not named/nominated for the Best Actor category. International netizens were most vocal about this exclusion, too.   :cutekitty:

*** I was able to watch his latest movie “Single in Seoul” via Netflix. I love the OST on this movie. The film’s premise is relatable amid the rise in the number of single households everywhere, as well as the number of those who prefer to remain single. In some scenes, the film feels rather like a documentary on how a book is published. It’s not surprising why the movie is not a HIT because the film is bland overall. It’s a rom-com genre but, notable lack of memorable lines on the movie. The FL’s character (Lim Soo-jung) looked untidy, like OMG what they did with her hair and clothes – no…. sorry but, that's not how editors generally look. I don’t find her character appealing.  Lee Dong Wook’s character seems like not happy here – ohhh, please don't portray that single people can't be happy. They can be. It's a choice!  He’s a young single writer who has not published anything yet but has earned his living via teaching at some private academy. Although the movie does not tell much about how much he gets paid for his teaching job every year, it seems that he is affluent enough to live in a wide and decent one-room flat which has not only a bunch of fancy stuffs but also a crisp view of the Han River. The only thing I liked about it was the message that everything is relative and what people remember is based on how they feel at present and it can't be the reality of it all! - It’s subjective! I did enjoy watching it, though just for Lee Dong Wook! IDK what I was expecting but this fell REALLL flat for me.
