On Tuesday, March 28, industry insiders from the South Korean industry reported that Kim Hye-yoon and Byun Woo-suk are reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming drama Time Walking on Memory.

 

In response, South Korean media outlet My Daily reported that the Kim Hye-yoon’s agency SidusHQ stated that the actress has received a leading role for Time Walking on Memory and is currently reviewing it.

 

Meanwhile, Byun Woo-suk’s agency Baro Entertainment also confirmed that the actor is positively reviewing the casting offer he has received for the said time-travel drama.

Time Walking On Memory will revolve around the life of a dedicated fangirl who gets the chance to travel back in time and save her favorite celebrity from meeting a tragic end.

 

In the upcoming drama, Kim Hye-yoon will reportedly take on the role of a dedicated fangirl, Lim Sol, who will go to imaginary lengths to save her idol. Fans are excited to see her in the lead role alongside 21st Century Girl actor Byun Woo-suk.

Kim Hye-yoon's character Lim Sol will travel back to 2008 when her idol Ryun Sun-jae committed suicide and put an end to his glamor life. Watching her idol fade away in time, Lim Sol will decide to do everything to stop Sun-jae from ending his life.

 

Byun Woo-suk will reportedly play the role of the idol Ryun Sun-jae if he accepts the casting offer.

The character Ryun Sun-jae will be shown as one of the most famous Korean celebrities who is also a boy band's member. He was a former swimmer but due to some incidents, he changed his career path as a vocalist and joined the band. Due to his difficult circumstances, however, the star decided to end his life.

Time Walking on Memory will be helmed by director Boo Sung-chul, famous for his projects including Ghost Doctor, The Heirs, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and others. Meanwhile, it will be penned by screenwriter Lee Shin-eun, known for her previous projects including True Beauty and High Kick! The Revenge of the Short Legged and others.

 

Kim Hye-yoon is one of the rising Korean actresses who came to recognition after starring in dramas including Sky Castle and Extraordinary You. Since then, she has starred in a number of dramas, including Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, Snowdrop, and Cleaning Up, among others. Kim Hye-yoon is reportedly currently set to star in the upcoming drama The Year We Turned 29.

Meanwhile, Byun Woo-suk made his debut as a model in the industry in 2015 and then made his first on-screen debut in the drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Since then, he has appeared in a number of series, including Moonshine and Record of Youth. The K-actor, however, rose to international recognition after playing the lead role in 21st Century Girl. He has also reportedly appeared in the upcoming drama Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon.

On July 19, tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Carry Sun Jae And Run” (literal title) announced the casting of Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon as the drama’s leads.

“Carry Sun Jae And Run” is a time slip fantasy romance about a top celebrity who unfortunately passed away and a woman who travels to the past in order to save him. The drama is based on Kim Bbang’s web novel “The Best of Tomorrow” (literal title), and scriptwriter Lee Si Eun of “Top Star U-Back” and “True Beauty” will be in charge of the script.

Byun Woo Seok will be playing Korea’s top star Ryu Sun Jae who has everything from good looks to talent and charm. Ryu Sun Jae is a famous celebrity who has remained at the top since his debut, but his life as a celebrity exhausted him, and he eventually passed away. However, Im Sol appears in his life during his youth when he is 19 years old, causing changes to his peaceful life.

tvN announced on July 19th that the upcoming time slip romantic comedy K-drama Carry Sun Jae And Run is confirmed to be produced and Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon have been picked to lead the series. 

Carry Sun Jae and Run will be the collaboration work of director Boo Sung Chul (The Heirs, My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho, and You're Beautiful) and screenwriter Lee Shi Eun (True Beauty).

On July 31st, it was officially confirmed that Lee Seung Hyub will be joining the cast of the upcoming romance fantasy K-drama  Time Walking on Memory.

Actor Song Ji Ho will be joining Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon in the upcoming K-drama Lovely Runner.

On February 26, Song Ji Ho's agency, the actor will be starring in the upcoming tvN's Monday-Tuesday K-drama  Lovely Runner. 

This will be his first project for 2024. Last year, Song Ji Ho appeared in the hit K-drama Doctor Cha. He portrayed the role of Seo Jong Min, the eldest son of Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul's characters. He also showcased good romantic chemistry with former Gugudan member Jo Aram in the series. 

Song Ji Ho made his acting debut in 2013. He has starred in various works such as Never Give Up, You Are My Spring, Stranger, Search: WWW, Age of Youth, Night Flight, Friend 2, and more.

Aside from  Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, the K-drama will be led by N.Flying's Lee Seung Hyub, Song Geon Hee, and  OMEGA X's Yang Hyuk. 

Song Ji Ho will portray the role of King. He is the brother of Kim Hye Yoon's character Im Sol. He is an aspiring actor but always fails at auditions. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of directors Boo Sung Chul, Yoon Jong Ho, Kim Tae Yeong, and writer Lee Shi Eun (True Beauty). 

Lovely Runner is set to premiere in April 2024. The K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes.

The upcoming tvN drama Lovely Runner, starring Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, has been confirmed to be released in April.

Lovely Runner is a time-slip drama that explores the question, "What if you were given the chance to save your favorite person?" 

It tells the story of Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), a top celebrity who dies at a young age, and Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), Sun Jae's passionate fan who travels back 15 to change his future.

The K-drama is based on Kim Bbang's web novel "The Best of Tomorrow", with the screenplay written by True Beauty screenwriter Lee Shi Eun. 

In the drama, Byeon Woo Seok portrays Ryu Sun Jae, a top star in South Korea who seems perfect in every aspect. Kim Hye Yoon plays Im Sol, Sun Jae's passionate fan, who travels back in time to the age of nineteen to change Ryu Sun Jae's fate. 

On February 28, the production team of Lovely Runner released stills of Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol, giving a glimpse of the duo's character dynamics.

Upcoming romance drama “Lovely Runner” has unveiled new stills featuring Byun Woo Seok!

Based on a popular web novel, “Lovely Runner” is a new time-slip romance drama that unfolds as Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), a passionate fan devastated by the death of her favorite star Ryu Sun Jae (Byun Woo Seok), goes back in time to save him. The drama will be penned by Lee Si Eun, the writer of “True Beauty” and “Top Star U-Back.”

Byun Woo Seok plays the role of Korea’s top star Ryu Sun Jae, who is perfect in every way, while Kim Hye Yoon transforms into his passionate fan Im Sol who travels back in time to when he is 19 years old in order to change his fate.

The newly released stills feature 34-year-old idol Ryu Sun Jae and 19-year-old swimming genius Ryu Sun Jae. First, Ryu Sun Jae in his 30s showcases his unrivaled elegance as a member of the famous K-pop group Eclipse.

 

Teenager Ryu Sun Jae is a promising high school swimmer. The sight of a youthful Sun Jae in his school uniform creates deep contrast from his appearance as an idol.

 

 

The production team remarked, “Byun Woo Seok plans to reach the peak of his ‘persona of youth’ through the character of Ryu Sun Jae. As he is known as a hard-working [actor], Byun Woo Seok is putting in all of his effort into character analysis. Please look forward to his maximized charms.”

First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Lovely Runner” starring Byeon Woo-Seok & Kim Hye-Yoon. The fantasy-romance screenplay is based on 2020 novel “Naeilui Euddeum” by Kim Bbang. Byun Woo-seok is a dream come true in Lovely Runner

It’s just another day in the life of a fangirl for Kim Hye-yoon (Snowdrop) in the first teaser for tvN’s timeslip romance Lovely Runner, where our heroine is happy to spend her day swooning over photos of top star Byun Woo-seok (Strong Girl Nam-soon).

Serious props to the set design for making sure our heroine’s bedroom is well-equipped with a finely curated display of fan paraphernalia, enshrining her beloved idol Ryu Sun-jae (Byun Woo-seok). Zooming in on a particularly dashing shot, Im Sol (Kim Hye-yoon) indulges in fandom’s greatest dream as she bemoans the fact that, “Our Sun-jae has everything. But he doesn’t have me.”

 

 

Dissolving into a fit of giggles, as we fans are wont to do, Sol lets her imagination run further as she turns to the cardboard cutout of Sun-jae standing behind her. But when she opens her eyes, Sol is surprised to see the real Sun-jae calling her name. According to the drama’s synopsis, this is when our heroine somehow travels to 2008, reverting back to her teenage self and meeting the also 19-year-old Sun-jae as fellow high school students.

Despite being starstruck by the pretty, our resourceful heroine understands that this is her long-awaited opportunity to save her star from the tragedy in his future. Now recovered from her initial shock, the teaser then closes as Sol cutely goes in for a hug.

Although not yet featured, the series also stars Song Geon-hee (Joseon Attorney), N.Flying’s Lee Seung-hyub (Shooting Stars), and Song Ji-ho (Doctor Cha) among others.

Written by Lee Shi-eun (True Beauty), with PD Kim Tae-yub (When My Love Blooms) and PD Yoon Jong-ho co-directing, tvN’s Lovely Runner will be coming to our screens on April 8.

Kim Hye-yoon cries for Byun Woo-seok in tvN’s Lovely Runner

Now that we’ve swooned plenty over 2D photos – and cardboard cutouts – of luscious lips star celeb Byun Woo-seok (Strong Girl Nam-soon), it’s time for our heroine Kim Hye-yoon (Snowdrop) to continue her fantasy in live-action, watching dramas of her favorite man in the latest teaser for tvN’s Lovely Runner.

I’m starting to get worried that all these fun promos are skyrocketing my excitement and it’s hard to hold back my widening grin when the teaser’s music is just so good. Calling back to the melodramas of yore, the tinkling piano sets the perfect mood as Ryu Sun-jae (Byun Woo-seok) acts in the full noble idiocy of his character, pleading, “Don’t like me. I’m telling you, don’t like me.”

 

 

A teary-eyed Im Sol (Kim Hye-yoon) gives as good as she gets, pretending to take the place of the drama-in-the-drama’s female lead as she demands to understand what Sun-jae means and how it’s even possible to not like him. As per the captions, the ~dramatic~ script hilariously comes from the Outsider saga by webnovelist Gwiyeoni, who went viral in the early aughts and is well known as the original source writer of the movie Temptation of Wolves.

The icing on the teaser’s cake, of course, is Sun-jae’s single tear. But this is when our adorable Sol breaks out of her fantasy, reaching with a tissue to dab the tear from her precious idol’s face on the computer screen. Giggling over how handsomely Sun-jae cries, Sol then references our story’s Korean title as the teaser comes to a close, wondering aloud if she should just throw Sun-jae onto her back and carry him away. In the meantime, my sidetracked mind is wondering what lip gloss they’re both wearing.

On the production side, tvN’s Lovely Runner has PD Kim Tae-yub (When My Love Blooms) and PD Yoon Jong-ho at the helm, with scripts penned by Lee Shi-eun (True Beauty). The timeslip romance will be coming to our screens next month, premiering on April 8 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
