I legitly think the promotion is awful for this series

 

They only putting out a 2-3 minutes trailer for 60 episodes show.

 

And I expected yesterday to put out new trailer or something, but did not.

 

And there are no MVs

 

Won't be surprised the viewership is low, but NOT because Wuxia genre is dying, BECAUSE the don't promote this show very well!

 

 

Doesn't matter if it's Star Wars, MCU, or whatever you have to promote it. 2-3 minutes trailer is too few of promotional content to get people hyped.

Did you watch the first few episodes yet?

 

Everything’s happening so fast I’m getting whiplash. 😂 I’m not emotionally attached to any of the characters yet, because I don’t “know” them. 😪 I hope at least the other angles/povs of the Five Greats will be more interesting than the main storyline that we already know.

The story is too rushed, i think the producer make this version for people who have known the story of LOCH before, so the new viewer will have a hard time to understand the story, especially the detail.

 

i think the 2017 version is better. i will still watching this, but my best 2024 drama is still Joy of Life season 2.  damn, this year i dont have much good chinese dramas

The 2017 is far superior, but the fight scenes in this is actually pretty good.

It was super rushed  and definitely not promoted well. 

I liked the action, but the story is bad due to rushing. had they promoted it better probably more people watch it.
