Yook Sungjae, Jung Chaeyeon, Lee Jong Won, And Yeonwoo Are Ambitious In Their Own Ways In Posters For Upcoming Fantasy Drama

BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, Lee Jong Won, DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon, and Yeonwoo will get entangled in an intriguing story of wealth in MBC’s upcoming drama!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Golden Spoon” (literal translation) is a new drama about a student born into a poor family who uses a magical golden spoon to swap fates with a friend born into a wealthy family. Tying in to the drama’s title, the new posters of all four leads show them surrounded by golden spoons.

Yook Sungjae will star as Lee Seung Chun, a handsome and intelligent student who is displeased with life because he’s born into a poor family. However, everything changes when he’s given the opportunity to make his dreams of being rich a reality.

Also starring in an upright poster is Jung Chaeyeon as Na Joo Hee, a chaebol heiress with a heart of gold. Against her own wishes, her family has forced her into a loveless engagement with Hwang Tae Yong (Lee Jong Won) but she dreams of nothing more than an ordinary life. Behind Na Joo Hee’s elegant appearance are complicated emotions hidden in her eyes.

Lee Jong Won and Yeonwoo pose in contrasting posters that show the stars upside down. Lee Jong Won plays the perfect Hwang Tae Yong who has everything from wealth, good looks, and talent. His sharp gaze and sensitive aura make it evident that he’s hard to approach. He eventually becomes friends with Lee Seung Chun, who covets his privileged life.

Yeonwoo portrays Oh Yeo Jin, the daughter of a wealthy family who’s had everything she’s ever wanted, but who only wants to become even richer. Her poster captures her powerful energy as well as her ambition.

The “Golden Spoon” production team commented, “We’ve captured the current situations of all four people through the posters. While Yook Sungjae and Jung Chaeyeon are upright, they’re tilted to the side as a way to express their instability. Especially since Jung Chaeyeon was born with a ‘golden spoon,’ we tried to capture the dangers of the situations she will face in the future due to her growing innocence.”

The producers continued, “Additionally, as Lee Jong Won and Yeonwoo were born with ‘golden spoons,’ they’ve appeared upside down for the limitless greed they have.”

“Golden Spoon” will premiere on September 23 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser for the drama here!

Lee Jong Won Talks About Playing Object Of BTOB’s Yook Sungjae’s Envy In New Fantasy Drama “The Golden Spoon”

Lee Jong Won has shared his thoughts on his character in MBC’s upcoming drama “The Golden Spoon”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “The Golden Spoon” is a new drama about a student born into a poor family who uses a magical golden spoon to swap fates with a friend born into a wealthy family. BTOB‘s Yook Sungjae will be starring as Lee Seung Chun, the student who hopes to turn his life around with the titular golden spoon, while Lee Jong Won will play Hwang Tae Yong, the privileged friend whose life Lee Seung Chun covets.

“What I found the most appealing was the story of characters that go back and forth between silver-spoon privilege and poverty,” said Lee Jong Won. “I thought it would be fun to have to act as Hwang Tae Yong and Lee Seung Chun, who are very different characters from one another.”

He continued, “Since Hwang Tae Yong is incredibly wealthy, to the extent where he even has his own personal assistant, I think he’s someone whom anyone would envy.”

“I think Hwang Tae Yong is a character who’s really charming on the inside,” he remarked. “Although he seems extremely cynical on the outside, he’s a character who’s actually searching for very small joys.”

MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday series “Golden Spoon” (literal title) has released a heart-fluttering teaser showcasing the love triangle between BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, Jung Chaeyeon, and Lee Jong Won!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Golden Spoon” is about a student born into a poor family who uses a magical golden spoon to swap fates with a friend born into a wealthy family.

Yook Sungjae will star as Lee Seung Chun, a handsome and intelligent student who is displeased with life because he’s born into a poor family. However, everything changes when he’s given the opportunity to make his dreams of being rich a reality.

Jung Chaeyeon will play Na Joo Hee, a chaebol heiress with a heart of gold. Against her own wishes, her family has forced her into a loveless engagement with Hwang Tae Yong (Lee Jong Won) but she dreams of nothing more than an ordinary life.

Lee Jong Won will take on the role of the perfect Hwang Tae Yong who has everything from wealth, good looks, and talent. His sharp gaze and sensitive aura make it evident that he’s hard to approach. He eventually becomes friends with Lee Seung Chun, who covets his privileged life.

One of the key things that drama fans can look forward to is the romance between Lee Seung Chun, Na Joo Hee, and Hwang Tae Yong. Na Joo Hee is straightforward as she claims, “I like Lee Seung Chun,” and she even pulls him in for a sweet kiss.

However, things take a baffling turn when Na Joo Hee calls Lee Seung Chun but Hwang Tae Yong gets up with a bright smile instead and forces Lee Seung Chun to sit back down.

Confused, Na Joo Hee says, “Seung Chun feels a bit unfamiliar today.” Then she wonders, “Why did Tae Yong change so much?” She can’t figure out why the two are not like their usual selves.

Lee Seung Chun’s voice claims, “He’s not the Lee Seung Chun you like.” However, Na Joo Hee is adamant about her feelings, saying, “Let’s say he’s changed. What does that have to do with you though? Seung Chun is just Seung Chun.” As the fates of the two young men get switched up, Na Joo Hee will face a complex roller coaster of emotions in her love life.

“The Golden Spoon” has unveiled the main poster starring BTOB’s Yook Sungjae!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “The Golden Spoon” is a new drama about a student born into a poor family who uses a magical golden spoon to swap fates with a friend born into a wealthy family. Watch: BTOB’s Yook Sungjae Must Pay The Price For Changing His Fate In “The Golden Spoon” Teaser

MBC has shared a sneak peek of its upcoming drama “The Golden Spoon”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Golden Spoon” is about a student born into a poor family who uses a magical golden spoon to swap fates with a friend born into a wealthy family.

BTOB’s Yook Sungjae will star as Lee Seung Chun, a handsome and intelligent student who is displeased with life because he’s born into a poor family. However, everything changes when he’s given the opportunity to make his dreams of being rich a reality.

The newly released teaser opens up with Lee Seung Chun declaring, “I’m going to become rich.” He gets involved in an intense physical fight with someone as he clutches onto the mystical golden spoon. Someone says, “It’s not a crime to be poor,” and Hwang Tae Yong’s father Hwang Hyun So (Choi Won Young) comments, “It’s not a crime. It’s a disease,” causing chills to run down one’s spine.

Oh Yeo Jin (Yeonwoo) asks Lee Seung Chun, “What would you do if you had a chance to be the owner of everything?” The mysterious old woman (played by Song Ok Sook) warns him, “It has to do with going against moral laws of family relationships! You must pay the price.” With that, someone grabs Lee Seung Chun in a tight choke and his father Lee Chul (Choi Dae Chul) gets into a terrible accident.

The phrase “get rich by stealing someone’s parents” offers a hint about how the drama will unfold. Lee Seung Chun, who has changed his fate with the help of the golden spoon, doesn’t seem to have a smooth life despite all the wealth. Hwang Tae Yong races somewhere with a sharp look as if he’s chasing someone, and the clip ends with the question, “Are you really Hwang Tae Yong?”

“The Golden Spoon” will premiere on September 23 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Watch the full teaser here:
