Since the triplets are no longer babies, SIK can give more time and focus with his acting career. (But being an extremely good husband and dad will always be his priority! We all know that, hehe!) 

The fact that he signed a contract, meaning he is now ready to accept more projects that will come his way.

And that simple thought made me so happy...  

The waiting for new projects will be over very soon! ~Fighting!!!

 

Chellsee, I share your joy - all SIKers here..... I hope his acting career will go well this time again under the new Label. Actually,  I'm happy that he is back again & this time on the small screen. So NICE to know that filming for his drama has already begun. At least, we know that it's underway! I’m not the only one wanting that, huh? It’s time for SIG to be back in dramaland. We need him to fully unfold his talent.

In today's news, SIK has just signed a contract to have C-Jes Entertainment as his agent.  SIK has gone solo with his own company, Haneol Entertainment, since 2009.  This change might give boost up his acting career.  Anyone with good Korean, please  correct my Google transaction.

Song Il-gook joins C-jeS Entertainment

 

 

Korean Actor Song Ill-gook recently signed a contract with C-jeS Entertainment, according to the agency on Monday.

“With Song belonging to our agency from now on, we promise to actively support his desire to broaden the scope of his acting career in a slew of films and TV dramas,” an official said.

A large number of renowned celebrities work under the agency including, JYJ, Choi Min-sik, Hwang Jung-eum, Seol Gyeong-gu and Lee Jung-jae.

The 45-year-old actor is also well-known as the father of triplets -- Song Dae-han, Song Min-gook and Song Man-sae -- by taking part in KBS’ child-rearing show “Superman Is Back.”

He is currently filming for KBS’ historical drama titled “Jang Yeong-sil” which is slated to be aired in January next year.

I'm not a big fan of C-Jes but I believe that SIK will succeed anywhere he goes. He is Jumong. You don't get any bigger than that. 

Excited to see him become active again. The triplets are growing up, he can afford to be out of the house more now. 

I would also like to see him make more movies before Manse takes his place. LOL

Song Il Gook Signs on With C-JeS Entertainment

As of October 26, Song Il Gook will be joining the C-JeS Entertainment family!

According to a statement from C-JeS, the actor will be focusing more on films and dramas than variety broadcasts from here on out. “We will stop at nothing to support Song Il Gook’s wishes to work on other various projects, as well.”

Song Il Gook made his acting debut in the 1998 MBC drama “Advocate” and has gone on to star in other major dramas, including “Jumong,” “A Man Called God,” and “The Kingdom of the Winds.” Recently, of course, he’s received a lot of love alongside his triplets Daehan, Minguk, and Manse on the KBS2 TVvariety show “The Return of Superman.”

Meanwhile, C-JeS Entertainment houses many actors, including Choi Min Sik,Hwang Jung Eum, and Kang Hye Jung. Perhaps most notably, they are also the agency behind JYJ and solo artist Gummy.

Song Il Gook and Triplets Reported to Be Leaving “The Return of Superman,” Show Responds

We all know it’s inevitable. Song Il Gook and his lovable triplets will one day leave the popular KBS variety show “The Return of Superman.” It will leave a hole in our hearts and have us crying tears equal to, but not as cute as, the amount Minguk has shed over his food being taken away.

Local news source Ilgan Sports reports that actor Song Il Gook has decided that he and his sons will stop appearing on the show early next year (around January – February). The exact timing is still in discussion. This reportedly became known during discussions about CF contracts that involve the triplets, with the companies wanting to know the Song family’s plans for leaving the show that made them famous.

In response to this report, both Song Il Gook’ reps and KBS have stated that nothing is decided, which is a vague enough answer to have fans of the show worried.

This past July, it was reported that Song Il Gook will star in the KBS historical drama “Jang Young Sil” (working title), expected to air starting January 2016.

Song Il-gook, who signed a contract with C-Jes, had a kissing scene with actress Han Chae-young in the past.

In the old drama "A Man Called God", Choi Kang-ta (Song Il-gook) saved Jin Bo-bae (Han Chae-young) from the water and despite the fact that the scene took 6 hours to take in the water, the cast did their best.

After the take, Han Chae-yeong said, "I was worried because I don't know how to swim, but even though he had a tough time himself, Song Il-gook pulled me out of the water first".

Song Il-gook said, "Han Chae-yeong had been in the water for a long time and I assumed she had to be cold".

it is sad news indeed.  And thank you for posting Choi Kangta to brighten up my spirit. SIK signing contract with bigger and more reputatble entertainment company is a very good news.  They'll be able to find him projects. I think the boys helped to regain his popularity.  But then, my emotion is mixed. should I be happy or should I be sad??  From now on, I can't see how the boys are growing up anymore??

Timing is spot on for this, because SIK's popularity is soaring right now, especially in China and SE Asia.  Offers should be pouring in and CJeS would definitely benefit.  They might even have a hand in managing the triplet's appearances.  Good news is that fans now have a secure address to send mail and presents to SIK.

Unfortunately, with these new offers, I can understand why the Songs might leave ROS.  I think the parents are wisely thinking ahead to give the boys more room to grow up independently and out of the limelight.  

Looking forward to 2016 and more screen time for SIK!

I do not know how to respond to this piece of bad news...

Need a few days to subside my sorrows...

Did he change his talent agency?  If he did, are we expecting more projects for him now?  I hope so.  Really miss him in dramas.  

Regarding the Song family leaving ROS, i have mixed emotions, too.  In as much as i enjoy watching them in the show, i also want Sik to focus more on his acting career.  He's not getting any younger and it's about time to revive it.  Besides, i don't want his popularity be overshadowed by his kids.  His new drama is a good start and i am expecting for more to come.

As for his sons, they are growing and maturing fast.  Sooner, they need to go to school and live a normal life with other kids. It's about time that at this point, they learn to live and act independently, not clinging too much to daddy. They have already gathered lots of precious moments together, enough for them to look back with smiles on their faces which what matters most.  I know, we can still see his boys in the near future.  Who knows?  They might even appear in one of his dramas.

Sad but life must go on.  We should be happy that SIK and wifey showed their lovely sons to us, something we didn't expect.

Speculations on Song Il-gook stepping down from "Superman is Back"

Media sources report that Song Il-gook is stepping down from the TV show "Superman is Back" but some say he's running for the member of the National Assembly election.

In a list of names of the election candidates by a media, Song Il-gook is on the list for the 20th members of the National Assembly Election for Incheon Yeonsu-gu.

He currently lives in Incheon Yeonsu-gu and has become friendly with his neighbors thanks to the TV show "Superman is Back".

The producer of the TV show says, "The election is unheard of and he's going to continue to be in the show".

Song Il-gook's sources also say, "He's starring in a drama that's coming in January. The election is in April so it doesn't add up".

Incheon officials from the Saenuridang said, "We didn't make that list of names. There's no saying thatSong Il-gook will be in the election".

Meanwhile, Song Il-gook is coming back with the drama "Jang Yeong-sil - Drama" in January.
