MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Joseon Attorney” has dropped new stills featuring the subtle relationships between Woo Do Hwan, Bona, and Cha Hak Yeon!

“Joseon Attorney” tells the story of an oejibu (attorney in Joseon Dynasty) who takes revenge on an enemy that caused the death of his parents through a trial. Although the drama starts with revenge, it will depict the growth of the protagonist who gradually becomes a real attorney that cares for the people and exemplifies how revenge stems from loneliness. Woo Do Hwan stars as the charming attorney Kang Han Soo, while WJSN’s Bona plays the caring Princess Lee Yeon Joo. VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon portrays Yoo Ji Seon who holds the highest-ranking government position in the city of Hanseongbu.

Previously in “Joseon Attorney,” Lee Yeon Joo decided to use Kang Han Soo for her revenge, and Kang Han Soo also started to become moved as he realized Lee Yeon Joo’s sincerity. Particularly in episode 4, Yeon Joo saved Han Soo from danger, expressing subtle emotions toward him which suggested a change in their relationship. As Han Soo and Yeon Joo, who met for the first time over a lawsuit in Hanyang, as well as Yeon Joo’s fiancé Ji Seon gather in Hanseongbu, attention is focused on how the three will be intertwined in the future.

A behind-the-scenes video has dropped for “Joseon Attorney” Episode 3!

 

MBC’s “Joseon Attorney” tells the story of an oejibu (attorney in Joseon Dynasty) who takes revenge on an enemy that caused the death of his parents through a trial. Although the drama starts with revenge, it will depict the growth of the protagonist who gradually becomes a real attorney that cares for the people and exemplifies how revenge stems from loneliness. Woo Do Hwan stars as the charming attorney Kang Han Soo, while WJSN’s Bona plays the caring Princess Lee Yeon Joo.

 

In the new making-of video, Bona, Woo Do Hwan, and Lee Gyu Sung rehearse the scene where Lee Yeon Joo gives Kang Han Soo and Dong Chi (Lee Gyu Sung) a tour of her guesthouse. While Dong Chi is unbelievably amazed, Kang Han Soo attempts to appear indifferent.

 

After their tour, Kang Han Soo and Dong Chi enjoy a meal of the guesthouse’s famous gukbap (rice with soup) and the two diligently rehearse their animated reactions to the yummy food. Woo Do Hwan comments with a laugh that they’ll have to look like cartoons and adds, “I think we’ll have to do it in one try.” Despite all the practicing, the scene turns out to be harder than they anticipated as they end up in fits of giggles the second they lock eyes.

 

When they eventually perfect their reaction, Woo Do Hwan simultaneously smacks Bona in the face, which he immediately apologizes for after the take. Woo Do Hwan worriedly comments, “I hit a living being…” while Bona jokes, “Please include this in the making-of video.”

 

Woo Do Hwan makes sure to avoid Bona for their next take but still checks up on her once the scene is approved. Bona jokingly responds, “It’s okay, I didn’t get hit hard. Just a slap.”

@backstreetboysfan  If Woo Do Hwan does join the production, he’ll portray Hae Jo, a man with an empty heart and is unable to form attachments, much like plankton. Lee Yoo Mi was offered the role of Jo Jae Mi, a woman who wishes to become Hae Jo’s family by showering him with undying love as she searches for the meaning of life. One question was on the topic of mental health and how they maintain it. Woo DoHwan's suggestion comes from something he saw on Instagram or YouTube Shorts. He suggests that when you get really angry, set a 10 minute alarm. Within those 10 minutes, think long and hard why you became angry in the first place. Once those 10 minutes are up, forget about it right away.

His suggestion is quite practical and forces you to set aside time for self-reflection. It's encouragement to not only face your feelings, but to also figure out why you're feeling a certain way in the first place. It makes sense and can be applicable to our daily lives. It encourages us to not linger on negative emotions too long and instead, look towards the bright future filled with fun and excitement.

Woo Do Hwan and Lee Yoo Mi may be working together in an upcoming rom-com drama!

 

On April 14, it was reported that Woo Do Hwan will be playing the lead role in the upcoming drama “Mr. Plankton” (literal title). In response to the report, Woo Do Hwan’s agency KeyEast Entertainment shared, “Woo Do Hwan has received a casting offer for the drama ‘Mr. Plankton’. It’s one of the projects he is currently reviewing.”

 

“Mr. Plankton” will be a romantic comedy that depicts the story of people who can’t blend in or connect with anyone, just like plankton. The drama will follow the journey of a man who has no other choice but to be a wanderer because no one has ever told him to stay.

 

Woo Do Hwan has been offered the leading role of Hae Jo, a man whose heart is empty because he owns nothing. Hae Jo dreams of a colorful future away from his gloomy plankton-like life where he feels like he doesn’t belong anywhere and doesn’t have anyone he cares about.

 

Reported to star opposite Woo Do Hwan is Lee Yoo Mi, who is said to have been offered the role of Jo Jae Mi, someone who will give Hae Jo an infinite amount of love and want to become his family. Lee Yoo Mi’s agency has yet to comment on the report.

“Mr. Plankton” will be penned by Cho Yong of “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” and “Jugglers” and will be helmed by director Hong Jong Chan of “Link: Eat, Love, Kill,” “Juvenile Justice,” and “Life.”

MBC’s “Joseon Attorney” stars Woo Do Hwan as Kang Han Soo, an oejibu (an attorney in the Joseon dynasty) who seeks to avenge the death of his parents through a trial. Bona will star as idealistic princess Lee Yeon Joo, who also seeks to avenge her father using the law and who approaches Kang Han Soo in her quest for vengeance.

 

In the previous episode, Lee Yeon Joo dressed up as a scholar in order to approach courtesan Myung Wol (Noh Haeng Ha). Lee Yeon Joo’s plan was to request that she testify in favor of the head court lady (Bae Hae Sun), who is awaiting a divorce case.

 

The drama’s latest stills preview Lee Yeon Joo’s upcoming transformation, with her now dressing completely as a man to carry out a unique strategy with Kang Han Soo. This transformation is especially intriguing because of all the happenings it could lead to, and because Kang Han Soo personally took part in various parts of Lee Yeon Joo’s disguise.

In his effort to save Young Sil, Han Soo sends a letter to the city’s mayor Ji Seon to draw him to come down to a local village. After receiving the letter, Ji Seon comes running, only to find out that all of the letter’s contents turned out to be a lie.

 

Han Soo then reveals the reason he sent the letter: to get a fair sentence and ruling for Young Sil. However, despite Han Soo’s plea, Ji Seon reacts with a cold attitude. Will the two be able to come to a mutual agreement and find out the truth about the case?

As they work together to win every case that’s thrown in front of them, Kang Han Soo and Lee Yeon Joo begin to become each other’s source of support. While their beginning was full of quarreling and endless bickering, in episode 5, viewers were finally able to see the two grow closer. As Kang Han Soo helps Lee Yeon Joo dress up as a man, neither can meet the other’s bashful gaze. They’re swept up in an atmosphere that’s electrified with excitement and maybe a bit of nerve as they venture into this new territory. For all the time they’ve spent together, a very close sense of loyalty, affection, and other sweet emotions have naturally built up between Kang Han Soo and Lee Yeon Joo, and viewers will smile as they see this new side of these beloved characters.

 

2. Closer than family: Kang Han Soo x Dong Chi

Kang Han Soo and Dong Chi (Lee Gyu Sung) are probably closer to each other than they are to their actual families—and that’s no exaggeration. They lean on each other for support when they plan their next course of action, share their joy and sadness, and stay strong for one another when things get tough. Their chemistry can only be described as amusing and delightful, and these two create the more comical elements of “Joseon Attorney.”

3. Savage revenge: Kang Han Soo x Master Jang & Park Je Soo

Kang Han Soo is hungry for revenge on the people who falsely accused his parents and had them murdered in cold blood. As Kang Han Soo succeeded in punishing both Master Jang (Lee Joon Hyuk) and Park Je Soo (Jo Hee Bong) through their litigations, the entire flow of the drama changed. Gone was the sly and free-spirited Kang Han Soo, and in his place stood a man full of anger and savage brutality that added an unrivaled tension to “Joseon Attorney.”
