*** Sigh..... this thread has been silent for quite a while now. What's Woo Do Hwan doing at the moment, huh? No news on Mr. Plankton out there?  Netflix had it on as ‘coming’ a few weeks ago. No release date yet, though. Another Woo Do-hwan drama to look forward to (besides BLOODHOUNDS 2). For the latter, I hope the story picks up right where it left off.   :coolshades:

It's been a while since "Bloodhounds". He will be seen playing Lee Min Seok, Kim Soo Hyun’s (Kim Sung Joon) high school classmate, who is now the CEO of the largest portal site in South Korea. He is a complicated man who is using him as a way to overcome his financial crisis. It will be directed by Uncontrollably Fond director.

Woo Do Hwan Joins Jo Bo Ah And Kim Soo Hyun In Talks For New Drama

20240715083525_woo-do-hwan-jo-bo-ah-kim-

Woo Do Hwan has joined the star-studded lineup of potential cast members for the upcoming drama “Knock Off” (working title)!

On July 15, Star News reported that Woo Do Hwan will star in the new Disney+ original series “Knock Off.”

In response to the report, Woo Do Hwan’s agency Blitzway Studios shared, “Woo Do Hwan has received an offer for a special appearance in the new drama ‘Knock-Off’ and is currently reviewing it.”

“Knock-Off” follows the story of Kim Sung Joon (Kim Soo Hyun), an ordinary man who loses his job during the IMF crisis. He later ventures into the counterfeit goods business at the end of the 20th century, ultimately rising to become the global king of counterfeits in the 21st century.

Reportedly, Woo Do Hwan will portray Lee Min Seok, Kim Sung Joon’s high school friend and the CEO of Korea’s largest portal site, who first suggests Kim Sung Joon enter the counterfeit goods business. However, Woo Do Hwan’s agency commented that the specifics of his character are still under discussion.

In addition to Woo Do Hwan, Kim Soo Hyun, Jo Bo Ah, Kim Si Eun, Yoo Jae Myung, Go Kyu Pil, and Lee Jung Eun are in talks to star in the drama. Kwon Nara and Kim Moo Yeol were also reported to be in discussions for the drama, but their representatives have yet to comment on the reports.

Stay tuned for more updates!

*** Woo Do Hwan is the latest to join the drama "Knock Off". I read from articles saying that he will be playing a special guest starring part. Does it mean just cameo? Or probably an important character but not much screen time? Just like Kim Nam Gil in case? I believe that the latter will have cameo in the drama because he was spotted after script-reading with the casts.  :kitty:

***  A large number of sequels are waiting to be released in the latter half of this year, including "Squid Game 2," "Gyeongseong Creature 2" and "Bloodhounds 2" also confirmed for production. I hope this will be a success as well just like S1. Creating sequels are challenging. Netflix has begun introducing seasonal formats for Korean series. Following this trend, local cable channels such as tvN have also started adopting seasonal formats for their own series and it is quickly becoming a common practice for successful Korean series to produce a second season. Yet, among Korea's hit series with sequels, only a few have replicated the success of the first season.     :coolshades:
