I am not sure about that. But I know he was very good when he was a student.

He attended the college that is TOP3 in Korea.

LSW is such a hottie...oozes charm with his guy-next-door looks...the type you dying to bring home to show to your folks! A pity he's not enjoying maximum air-time...hopefully all these will change when people start taking notice of him. He has taken on pretty unusual roles in the past usually in the younger man-older woman/cougar genre (First Wives Club), mute, alien from outer space, guy with a foot fetish (Elephant Penthouse) and most recently as a gay guy in Life is Beautiful. His most 'normal guy' role was in Don't Hesitate and I simply love him in that drama but it didn't have a huge following other than in TW.

Keep fighting...your shining star is burning bright!

Love @ first sight...have since watched his "Life is Beautiful" (am most definitely going to faithfully follow the drama and wish the best for Kyung Tae couple), "Beyond Magic" (very enchanting character in this movie), "Penthouse Elephant" (don't get this movie at all, but think he's looking simply delicious here) and "Don't Hesitate" (think i should be able to finish the last 30 episodes tonight, ha!)...will watch "First Wives Club" (thank Tudou for the chinese subs), "Can Love be Refilled?" (one of his first few dramas, have watched a clip of him singing to the leading lady, and some NGs, omg, he sings so well and he's so funny) and then "The Road Home"...

Oh, i watched Happy Together yesterday, the one with the cast from Penthouse Elephant...and yes, 夜心萬萬 (with cast of FWC) where he sang the "Shark song" and talked abt his dog and brother, both don't talk much, yes, both of them...he really made me laughed so hard, and when i recollect, it just made me feel like laughing again, he's really too too too too funnyyyy!!

Lee Sang Woo has been casted with a new KBS weekend drama titled Believe in Love ( translated title, not official yet). He will be playing second male lead. Main casts are Lee Jea Ryong,(이재룡), Park Joo Mi (박주미),Moon Jung Hee (문정희). Estimated 50 epi.

First epi will air on January 1, 2011.

[메트로] KBS새드라마 '사랑을 믿어요', 이상우 인기로 파리 촬영 불가?

-'내 청춘에게 고함', '펜트하우스 코끼리' 프랑스 내 상영으로 이상우 인지도 높아져

KBS2의 주말 드라마 '결혼해주세요' 후속으로 방송 예정인 '사랑을 믿어요' 팀이 파리에서 촬영하다

현지 경찰들에 의해 촬영이 저지 당하는 사건이 발생했다. 첫방송이 얼마 남지 않은 시점에서 해외 촬영

지연은 방송국 입장에서는큰 타격인 셈. 하지만 이 사건의 뒷배경에는 배우 이상우의 인기 때문이라고 한다.

애당초 파리 에펠탑에서 우연히 만난 여인(박주미 分)에게 한눈에 반하게 되는 씬을 촬영 예정이었던 이상우는

촬영 대기 도중 에펠탑을 관광 온 한국인 여행객들이 이상우를 알아 보고 사인공세를 펼치기 시작했다는 것.

하지만 사인공세는 한국인 관광객에 이어 파리 현지인들은 물론 다른 나라 관광객들까지 이상우에게 사인은 물론

사진 촬영까지 요구하는 바람에 촬영이 지연되었다고 한다.

현지인들이 이상우를 알아 보게 된 것은 재작년 프랑스 130개의 상영관에서 영화 '청춘에게 고함' 과 '펜트 하우스 코끼리' 가

연달아 상영되어 이상우의 존재가 널리 알려졌던 것이다. 이상우 소속사 측은 프랑스에서 영화가 상영됐다는 소식만 들었지

이렇게까지 알아봐주실줄은 몰랐다면서 희색을 표했다.

한편, 가뜩이나 관광객들이 많이 몰리는 에펠탑인지라 큰 사고로 이어질 것을 대비 해 철수 해 달라는 파리 경찰들의 요구에

드라마 제작팀은 하는 수 없이 며칠 뒤로 촬영을 미뤘다고 한다.

시청률 40%를 돌파했던 '솔약국집 아들들'을 연출한 조재상 연출과 조정선 작가가 다시 뭉쳐

이상우는 물론 이재룡, 박주미 등 연기파 배우들이 열연을 펼칠 KBS2 새 주말드라마 '사랑을 믿어요' 는 새해 2011년 1월 1일 첫회가 방송된다.

[경제투데이 곽민구 기자] 배우 이상우가 주말연속극에서 파격 연기를 펼친다.

SBS ‘인생은 아름다워’에서 송창의와 동성애 연기로 화제를 모은 이상우가 후속작인 KBS2TV 새 주말연속극 ‘사랑을 믿어요’(극본 조정선, 연출 이재상)에서 재벌 2세 한승수 역을 맡아 극중 유부녀 박주미와 사랑에 빠진다.

내면에 큰 아픔을 가지고 살아가는 재벌가 2세 한승우는 외국에서 우연히 본 후 호감을 가지게 됐던 서혜진(박주미 분)이 자신 소유의 미술관에 큐레이터로 근무하게 되면서 본격적인 구애를 시작한다. 서혜진이 유부녀임을 알면서도 사랑하게 되면서 서혜진과 김동훈(이재룡 분) 부부 사이의 갈등이 빚어진다.

이상우는 “평소 그림 등 예술 분야에 관심이 많았고, 얼마 전부터는 도예를 배우고 있어 한승우 역에 좀 더 쉽게 다가갈 수 있을 것 같다”며 “그 동안 여러 드라마에서 유부녀와의 사랑 연기를 해 본 적이 있어 좀 더 섬세한 연기가 가능할 것 같다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

2011년 1월 1일 첫 방송되는 ‘사랑을 믿어요’는 착한 가장 김교감네 사람들이 우여곡절을 겪으며 진정한 사랑의 의미를 찾고 행복한 가정을 만들어가는 따뜻한 가족드라마로 ‘솔약국집 아들들’의 이재상 PD와 조정선 작가의 재결합으로 기대를 모은다.

He is really hot, sexy and attractive. I first saw him in Life is beautiful and his role "kyung soo" was so impressed. I guess that for people who are homophobias when seeing him on the film they might not be able to hate him, especially when he smiles. And he might be come an icon of gay men after the film...*smile*

Anyway, i think I will wait for his next movies and dramas and get more things about him and to be sure that "Kyung soo" would not his most  impressive and only successful role in his acting career.

omg why is this thread so dead ???? my 1st time here since i just discovered this handsome gorgeous looking guy in FWC.... oh my gosh i cant believed I didnt noticed LSW before....anyway he was super duper awesome looking in FWC everytime LSW scene came on screen i just cant stop drooling at his image.....i think LSW deserves more followers here in soompi....luv his acting and his smile and eyes are just heart melting .....I just checked out his list of drama and going to watch all of it accept Life Is Beautiful...lol I am not prepared mentally to watch his *gay* character.. he is .too hunky gorgeous for me to see him in that character.....

btw hope to have an update on his activities and projects.....
