Helena
OSEN | 2020. 08. 07.Ong Seong Wu and Shin Ye Eun melt fans with sweet moments in "Number of Cases" first trailer The drama "Number of Cases" has finally lifted its veil. On August 7, the new Fri-Sat drama "Number of Cases" (JTBC, screenwriter: Jo Seung Hee, director: Choi Sung Beom) released its first teaser video. The drama "Number of Cases" depicts a realistic youth romance of a couple who have a crush on each other for 10 years. The drama promises to bring fluttering emotions with the chances of going from friends to lovers between a girl who always hides her feelings after ending a long unrequited love and a guy who didn't realize his true feelings until now and is trying to express it. The synergy created by Ong Seong Wu, Shin Ye Eun, Kim Dong Joon, Pyo Ji Hoon, Ahn Eun Jin, Choi Chan Ho, and Baek Soo Min - the young cast that promises to showcase colorful aspects of youth in a candid and interesting way - also makes viewers more eager for the drama. The first teaser video constantly made the hearts of viewers flutter. Responding to the careful love confession of Kyung Woo Yeon (played by Shin Ye Eun), "I like you", Lee Soo (played by Ong Seong Wu) set a boundary with her immediately, saying, "I see you just as a friend". Kyung Woo Yeon is a girl that can't stop herself screaming whenever she thinks of Lee Soo, whom she has long had unrequited feelings for. As for Lee Soo, that someone like Kyung Woo Yeon keeps appearing in front of him makes his mind disturbed. Every time Kyung Woo Yeon thinks she is dreaming because of Lee Soo's affectionate greeting, the look of him coming up suddenly and saying "It's not a dream, it's real" always makes her heart skip a beat. Lee Soo is by nature an indifferent person full of self-love, but he has uncanny actions such as hugging Kyung Woo Yeon silently or carrying her on his back when she gets drunk. His words, "Come again, I'm glad because you come", also made Woo Yeon bubbling with excitement. When continuously "attacked" by such exciting yet "heartbreaking" gestures, Kyung Woo Yeon leaned on alcohol to express her feelings. Nonetheless, their relationship is only friends after all. Kyung Woo Yeon's honest confession, "I cannot like anyone else since I like you", heralds a change in the two's relationship. The teaser made viewers wonder whether Lee Soo and Kyung Woo Yeon will be able to go from friends to lovers. The story of Lee Soo and Kyung Woo Yeon - two characters who are trying to correct the mistakes in their memories of first love - immediately becomes interesting to viewers. The chemistry between Ong Seong Wu and Shin Ye Eun is the most shining factor. The outstanding aura of the two when perfectly transforming into the characters is bringing fluttering feeling to the viewer. First time challenging himself with the rom-com genre, Ong Seong Wu takes on the role of attractive photographer Lee Soo. Although he is a perfect man exuding elegance even with his cold and arrogant image, Lee Soo becomes a selfish person in front of love. Lee Soo only cares about himself, so when he starts to pay attention to Kyung Woo Yeon, whom he previously only considered as a friend, his peaceful life immediately turns to an unexpected direction. Shin Ye Eun will play Kyung Woo Yeon - a calligrapher who has no idea about love and is "cursed" with an unrequited love. She is the kind of person who will persistently pursue her passion until it bears fruit, so she has been in a one-sided love with Lee Soo for 10 years. A great chance to end the long-time one-sided love finally comes to Kyung Woo Yeon. Looking impressive with their well-matched visuals, "Woo-Soo" couple - Ong Seung Wu and Shin Ye Eun - is expected to genuinely portray the sweet and exciting love story of youth everyone has dreamt about at least once. "Number of Cases" will air the first episode in September. jongski
Oh another JTBC drama for the two male leads. I'm going to check this one. I like early 20's type of youth drama ( we often get een highschool drama). Both leads are from a group. Often times, "idols" gets bash for their 'acting skills" (and there is truth to that. I've seen some w/c are cringe worthhy acting) but there are 'idols' that can act well. Case in point the male leads in this drama. Ong Seung Wu ( wannaone? I have no idea, thb. I just he's from a group). I'm only familiar with him from his frist drama which is "Moment of Eighteen" from JTBC. If you've seen that one,. he gave a decent and good acting. Played the character well . Kim Dong Joon. Same as OSW, an idol from a group I have no idea. First time watching him in season 1 and 2 of "Chief of staff" from JTBC as well. It was also good decent acting. I'll be watching this. Hoping it will be good one. It from's JTBC and they've been coming up with really good dramas. 0ly40
“More Than Friends” And Other JTBC Dramas Pause Production For COVID-19 Testing TV/Film Aug 20, 2020 by C. Hong More dramas have halted production in order for the cast and crew to undergo testing for COVID-19. On August 19, “To All the Guys Who Loved Me” stopped filming after supporting actor Seo Sung Jong tested positive for COVID-19. The upcoming drama “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” also paused production as a preventative measure since there were staff members who worked on both dramas. Later, it was revealed that Heo Dong Won, who is a cast member on “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” and was in a play with Seo Sung Jong, had also tested positive for COVID-19. Seo Yi Sook, who had come into contact with Heo Dong Won, is awaiting test results for COVID-19, putting a brief pause on the drama she is filming with Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk. Meanwhile, Heo Dong Won and Seo Sung Jong’s play, “Jjamppong,” announced that 15 cast and crew members have tested positive for COVID-19 so far, including Kim Won Hae. On August 20, a source from JTBC confirmed that the upcoming drama, “Private Life” (literal title), has stopped filming because one of their staff members is awaiting test results. The drama stars Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Go Kyung Pyo, and more. The source said, “This staff member was a supporting member of another drama in which someone tested positive for COVID-19. They did not come into direct contact with that person, but they got tested just in case, and filming will be halted until their test results come out.” Another upcoming JTBC drama, “Run On” (literal title), has also paused filming after a staff member came into contact with a suspected COVID-19 case. This drama stars Im Siwan, Shin Se Kyung, Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, and more. JTBC stated, “Today, we confirmed that one of the drama’s staff members had come into contact with the staff member of another drama who is suspected of being infected with COVID-19. That suspected case is awaiting their test results, and the ‘Run On’ staff member has also been tested and is self-quarantining until their results come out. For the safety of the cast and crew, ‘Run On’ has decided not to film on August 20.” It was reported that “More Than Friends,” which stars Ong Seong Wu and Shin Ye Eun, has also stopped filming because actress Kim Hee Jung had come into contact with Kim Won Hae. A source stated, “Kim Hee Jung and Kim Won Hae filmed together on August 12. After Kim Won Hae tested positive, Kim Hee Jung and her manager went to get tested for COVID-19. The results will come out around August 21.” JTBC confirmed, “Kim Hee Jung came into contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case and got tested on August 20. For the safety of the cast and crew, filming will be paused until the test results are out.”
0ly40
Ong Seong Wu And Shin Ye Eun Fall In Unrequited Love With Each Other 10 Years Apart In “More Than Friends” DRAMA PREVIEW Sep 3, 2020 by E. Cha JTBC’s upcoming drama “More Than Friends” has unveiled a new set of posters! More Than Friends” is a romance drama about two close friends who both fall in unrequited love with one another over the course of 10 years. Shin Ye Eun stars as Kyung Woo Yeon, a calligrapher who is clueless when it comes to dating and finally decides to give up on her one-sided love for her guy friend after a decade of pining. Ong Seong Wu will play the role of photographer Lee Soo, the longtime object of Kyung Woo Yeon’s affection, who suddenly starts seeing her in a different light after years of friendship. On September 4, the upcoming drama released two new posters that capture both the duo’s unchanging affection for one another and their unfortunate lack of timing. One poster features the 2010 Kyung Woo Yeon and the 2020 Lee Soo smiling at each other, while another shows the 2010 Lee Soo facing the 2020 Kyung Woo Yeon. The producers of “More Than Friends” commented, “Ong Seong Wu and Shin Ye Eun have already completely transformed into their characters. They are displaying incredibly strong chemistry as they portray the subtle changes in the relationship and emotions between Lee Soo and Kyung Woo Yeon.” They went on to tease, “Although Lee Soo and Kyung Woo Yeon were comfortable with each other for 10 years, they suddenly wind up facing moments in which they find each other new and unfamiliar. The drama will entertainingly depict the romantic changes that take place as a result of that new gap [between them].” “More Than Friends” premieres on September 25 at 11 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki. Latte_Anyday
So does Soo like Woo Yeon or doesn't he..? Of course I'd prefer it more if he does LoL! His actions don't seem to match his words for one, have you seen the glances he gives her? I feel like because his parents are divorced that could've put him off into getting in commitment perhaps? The girls were just plain mean. It's like common in many school dramas that there'd be bullying involved. Seong Woo is just really good at playing stoic characters LoL. His eyes are very expressive. Ye Eun's adorable. Here's to hoping this drama won't disappoint.
