Saddest episode for me...i can't blame writer KES for these things has to happen in all kdramas before the OTPs could live happily ever after.....my greatest worry is Eun Tak since she's losing her power of seeing ghosts...and how the hell could KIm Shin  kill the evil eunuch PJW.....maybe if Wang Yeo could also help in killing him then maybe PJW will perish.

Today's episode is EPIC! From start to finish, the momentum keeps going till the showdown at the end. One scene that stayed with me is KS FINALLY is able to reach the King! That scene breaks me down. For 900 years he keeps going back to that moment, agonisized over the fact whether he should or shouldn't have done it back then. To finally do it, that was too awesome! And we saw the King's reaction this time. No hatred or envy on his face. Just pure remorse. *clap clap clap*

Hello everyone^^ I started watching this drama just yesterday and after the first episode I couldn't stop!! I guess I'm going to read all of your theories..especially on deok hwa :vicx: but first..I'm going crazy searching for the song in Ep 11 when the red dressed woman goes to eun tak' school..do you know the title..or if it's an original song?

Hey guys, just finished watching episode 12.  This ep is really the climax of Goblin's past conflicts. Each character, good (like his loyal warrior friend and ofc Kim Sun) and bad (like PJW, the maid and WY) reveal themselves and underwent major character development. In this episode we saw (and felt) the pain of immortality within Kim Shin's life. GY's acting really made us feel how it's like to meet a character you were deeply involved with in your previous life. Imagine having 900 years of dragging those weight of pain around all the time.

This is my attempt to sum up what uri KS felt in this episode: 

1. The weight of a promise: Even though it's a short scene between KS and his past warrior friend, but with this revelation we see how lonely he's been all his life. He might've said to him "You must've been really lonely", but the truth is the one who's been lonely is uri KS. 900 years of wanting to repay the loyalty of a dear friend, of wanting to fulfill their promise to meet again after death of both great warriors. Daebak. He can finally repay and meet him again, imagine how much weight has lifted. It's a big debt and meant a lot to KS. 

2. The pain of losing loved one: KS in this episode underwent another reminder of how painful it is to be immortal. No matter how happy he is after resolving that he and ET together will try to fight their tragic destiny in ep 11 , in this episode he is reminded once again that if he doesn't die, he will feel much bigger pain if ET dies. As much as he wants to live, he will always be with this gigantic amount of pain. Imagine watching someone close to you grow from a baby into a wise and cheerful old CY and watching this great person you highly respect dying, *gosh*. He's sobbing like that made me cry buckets. I can't imagine how much pain he will feel if ET dies (pls don't let it happen pls happy ending pls).

3. The reunion of siblings: In the scene where KS went to Sunny's restaurant and discovering that his beloved sister has regained her memory. *gosh* In that scene, KS made us feel the love he yearns to give her after 900 years too late. In ep 11, it comes off funny how he rewarded her with so much stuff. But after knowing that Sunny has truly acknowledge him as her brother, we can truly feel the longing KS felt for her and Sunny's regrets of only remembering it now. I cried again in this scene, so much sibling love.

4. The revenge he seeks: 900 years of wanting to have your revenge eats your inside like crazy. I know uri KS is strong and mighty, he cherishes everything from love, loyalty, and togetherness from the people around him but still, revenge is one of those thing you can never get rid of (like a debt) even so if you are cursed to remember everything and every moment of your life. Imagine being like that and finding out that your bf is that someone you seek to avenge. Every moments of bromance they have had till now must have disappeared from his mind, engulfed by the resurfacing rage he's been dragging for 900 years towards WY. I cried again in this scene from the amount of pity I have towards KS. How do you avenge someone you cherish? It's a complex emotion and GY acted it out perfectly. 

Go ahead and add if I missed anything. Still a rookie here hehe. :frown:

Anyway, despite everything that happened, the emotional turbulent our KS felt in this episode. I have to give it to LDW and YIN here, because without their beautiful acting, I wouldn't cry the fifth time while watching this ep. WY (LDW) here also underwent an emotional storm (not turbulent yet, it's probably saved for next ep) with the revelation of himself being WY.

First, he met the love of his life which is Kim Sun. With the flashbacks to goryo (the medicine scene and the ring scene) I think we now realize that WY truly has loved his Queen as much as he can in his own way. He didn't want her to die at all, he wants to love her and keep her forever (like the painting which he drew). But it turns out, after discovering the truth in the present time, he must once more let her go so she will not be in pain. Here, he was given a chance to love her yet again and even more than in his past life, but he knows he doesn't deserve it because he sinned by hurting her and KS. So he wants her to forget him *cried a lot in here gosh*. The GR that he is has so much warmth and affection for both characters he hurt the most in his past life.

Second, he finally confronts all his past debt to KS by not fighting him when KS goes for his neck. He's saying a lot by not doing anything. LDW's acting showed us how much a King regrets his past mistake to a great warrior. Also, the fact that he's giving back Kim Sun's past memories by kissing her, is in a way, a repayment to KS. It felt like it was the least he could do after taking his sister away from him. *yes i cried again in this scene gosh*

Regarding upcoming episodes, I think the questions brought up by PJW and the evil maid showing up and by ET losing her ability will be answered in the next episode. I believe the two questions are connected to each other. ET losing her ability might be the result of PJW showing up OR by KS resolving his past conflicts. The maid could also play a great role in upcoming ep conflict. Also, with the real identity of DH revealed (finally YEAY, someone posted that theory before of DH being a vessel for God, you guys are daebak), I think in the end, he might be the resolving key between the curse/tragedy between KS and ET (he will be utilized in later eps I think, in KES we trust!). I still don't have any grand theories like most of you in this forum has. Lol still learning here. 

That's all I've got to say. I'm sorry for the sudden long post but let's face it, this episode is making us feel so much emotion. I just have to say something from those feelings. Lol. Can't wait for next week!

But i dont get it. Kim sun didn't die that day but how?

I do not think he was removing her memory. He just want her to see his eyes so she sees his sincerity beacause after he said forget me he touches her face.

Hi chingus! I'm 1 of the silent lurkers, delurking due to fanatically excited with the arc episode today :).Almost everything is revealed now.I cried my heart out...Somehow i dont mind spending my precious sleeping hours (3.25am @M'sia) just reading all your thoughts throughout this fast thread since these last 3 weeks. It's worth,trust me.

I'm saving my remaining data usage for this week episodes hehe.

I think I know why wookie could not give up this part. Just the scene where he as the GR kisses her and all the words he said were so touching like poetry and since he is a fan of Korean literature, I think he could not give up this chance to say these beautiful words. I felt his sincerity when he said them too and when he cried. I think that scene alone is beautiful enough, for a serious actor to die for a role like that. I think that's what makes him different in his acting, you can feel the sincerity, the way he says the words. I wonder how he convinced KES to finally give him the part. Did he act out a scene such as this one for her and touched her? It is a mystery that I am curious to find out.
