Three Meals a Day’ kicks off its 4th filming.

tvN’s ‘Three Meals a Day - Fishing Village 3’ will begin its 4th filming from November 12th for 3 days and 2 nights on Deukryang Island in Goheung, Jeonnam, where the three-meals house is located.

As it is their 4th visit with more experience and know-hows, a richly delicious episode is expected. It is also worth noting the “Ecipes” from Eric who has been stimulating viewers’ taste buds with his own personal recipes.

‘Three Meals a Day - Fishing Village 3’ is gaining a lot of popularity with an explosive chemistry from the three Duk-ryang Island brothers - Lee Seo-jin, Eric, and Yun Gyun-sang. Eric has been drawing attention as a ‘cook genius’ who’s up to par with ‘Chajumma’, Cha Seung-won.  His three-meal feast with great menus, ranging from pumpkin soup to Jjajang bap and raw sashimi, has been a hot topic of every episode.

The last episode aired on Nov.11th, episode 5, was full of colorful scenes such as the close moments shared by the three brothers facing the strong wind warning, as well as the new world of Deukryang, the mudflat’s brimful of clams. Their food table gave off the fishing village’s aroma with menus like spicy Haemul-Jjim (spicy braised seafood), a deep ocean taste with Jogae-Myok-gook (clam and seaweed soup), to the well cooked Pen shell-Samhap (a tri-combination of clam, pork, and mushroom), drew the attention.

With winter just around the corner, it piques our curiosity as to what the three brothers will bring back for their 4th filming from Deukryang Island.

Yoon Kyun Sang's cat gets away with a perfect little crime on 'Three Meals a Day'

On the November 11 airing of the current season of 'Three Meals a Day' in the fishing village, one of Yoon Kyun Sang's lovable cats got away with a perfect little crime!

If you missed maknae cast member Yoon Kyun Sang bringing his two adorable, fluffy-tailed cats Kkoong and Mong on the show, then here's your chance to fall in love with them, above!

When Shinhwa's Eric and Yoon Kyun Sang returned home from meal preparations, they went on to greet the two cats lounging around indoors. Yoon Kyun Sang lay down to cuddle with the white one, Kkoong, while Eric noticed that his bag, situated in a corner of the room, had been disarrayed. He realized that a cat had gotten into a bag of dried radish and scratched it up, maybe even eating some of it!

Although it may be impossible for Eric to know which of the two cats was the culprit, the staff, who had the camera rolling indoors the whole time, caught not Mong, who lingered around Eric while he checked his bag, but Kkoong, who didn't show any interest in Eric's bag when he took out the dried radish!

Watch Kkoong get away with his perfect crime leaving no trail behind (except for being caught on camera), above!

THE 3 BEST MEALS OF SHINHWA’S ERIC, PICKED BY ‘3 MEALS A DAY’ PRODUCTION
image

tvN ‘Three Meals A Day - Fishing Village 3’ pulled out their best 3 meals from E-Chef Eric. (note: the meals were from EP.1-4)

On November 11th, ‘Three Meals A Day - Fishing Village 3’ revealed the best 3 meals that Eric made. It was voted by the production crews who tasted Eric’s food and they voted for the best one they had.

▲ Japchae-bap and Clam soup, the best taste

image

The most complimented meal by ‘Three Meals A Day - Fishing Village 3’ production were Japchae-bap and Clam soup. First, Japchae-bap was the dinner menu in episode 3. It looks easy but is pretty hard to make. Everyone was stunned when Eric made this dish. Eric’s Japchae-bap is constantly on the conversation among the production members, from the cooking to its taste. It was really great.

The Clam Soup served with Japchae-bap was also ranked #1 too. Eric’s Clam Soup, aired on November 4th, is the dish that made Lee Seojin’s dimple go deeper. The production said “There’s a reason why Eric is called the Soup Master”, agreeing with Lee Seojin.

▲ 7 hours of work! Sooyook and Deonjang- noodles

image

The 2nd ranked are the ones that took 7 hours. The dinner table that was filled with E-Chef’s effort. SooYook and Deonjang-noodles made from Eric’s heart were enough to get thumbs up from the production. SooYook was flawless. Deonjang noodle was made with the broth that cooked SooYook. It was a different dimension from the normal noodles. Some of the production members called it the noodles of their lives.

▲ Vongole pasta, the restaurant level

image

The Vongole pasta that made Lee Seojin’s dimples bloom was ranked in 3rd. This Vongole pasta was getting lots of attention even before the broadcast. At the production press conference, Yoon Gyunsang said “Vongole pasta was the best among Eric’s meals that I’ve tasted in Duekryang-do”. In the episode, Lee Seojin and Yoon Gyunsang went out to the mudflat in the middle of the night to dig out the clams so Eric could make Vongole pasta with those clams.

The ‘Three Meals A Day - Fishing Village 3’ production crew, who saw Eric and E-Chef from the closest view, kept on complimenting Eric not only on his cooking but also to his enthusiasm. Especially the never ending dinner show that lasted 7 hours in he last episode was also a special experience for the production as well.

The production said “Some people do multiple works at once. Eric does one thing at a time but he stops in middle and thinks hard again and again. He’s that much delicate and responsible.” They also mentioned “The thing everyone acknowledges while working with Eric is that he always delivered the perfect result with perfect food. And it’s so good when you taste it. Eric’s food contains his own thoughts and determination to give Yoon Gyunsang and Lee Seojin the good food. The caring and responsibility may be is his cooking philosophy.”

‘Three Meals A Day - Fishing Village 3’ will be on air on November 11th at 9:15pm.  They will have steamed seafood and clam seaweed soup, and pen shells combination on this episode.

Mong is soooooooo cute. I wanna hug him. He's playful and so cheerful. Kong, maybe because he's older, he seems more careful but always curious about everything. I thought the neighborhood cat is female so they can create love line for Kong later on...hahahaha.... But the cat seems already afraid with Kong so I'm pretty sure she/he won't back there. Kong has so many secrets with us, first, he wanted to escape and sneak peek outside the room. Second, he tried to eat Eric's dried fruit (?) XD.

SHINHWA’S ERIC X KOONG-I X MONG-I, ‘THREE MEALS A DAY’S’ BEST ONE MINUTE… AND IMPECCABLE CHEMI
image

tvN’s ‘Three Meals a Day Lee Seo-jin, Eric, and Yun Gyun-sang warmly lifted Friday night with their fantastic chemistry.

On November 11th, episode 5 of ‘Three Meals a Day - Fishing Village 3’ showed the perfect teamwork from the three Deukryang Island brothers. They managed to eat their meals on time from breakfast to dinner, with their one-upped preparation skills and perfect teamwork

The Deukryang brothers dug out a number of pen shells from the mudflat of Deukryang Island and even carved out a pen shells law, “pen shell does not betray”. Returning to 3 meal house with satisfaction, the three brothers decided ‘GwanJa-Samhap’ a delicate dish with scallop, Daepae-Samgyupsal (thin bacon), Baek-Kimchi (white kimchi), and spicy Kimchi soup for their dinner menu.

To make up for the 7 hours they spent on the last dinner, they moved swiftly to prepare their dinner with perfect teamwork and managed to finish their 3 meals on the table at 8pm, making viewers wows.

First, the youngest Yun Gyun-sang began the preparation with a proactive attitude. The oldest Lee Seo-jin seemed satisfied at the sight of Gyun-sang’s good handling of pen shells. Yun Gyun-sang showed his intention saying “It’s time I became a new employee from an intern”. Eric sped up more than before, and Captain Lee Seo-jin not only provided vision but also began grilling Sam Gyupsal (bacon) himself. Together, it led to a fine-looking table of three meals.

Especially Eric is good with making Seo-Jini work when he asked for help with his cute voice “Could you grill the bacon instead. I’m not good with it.

Kung-ie and Mong-ie, scene-stealing cat buddies, also received viewers’ love. Kung-ie’s nonchalant demeanor in front of Eric and Kyunsang despite his earlier rampage, ripping of dry radish bag inside Eric’s backpack, and Mong-ie’s late reaction to the bag moved the viewers’ heart. The scene where Eric got back into the room from the mudflat and started patting Mong-ie with love was the best one minute scene with the highest viewership that peaked at 13.2%.

Episode 5 received lots of love with average viewership of 10.8%, peaked at 13.2% for paid platform such as cable, satellite, and IPTV. It also tops #1 ranking among all channels including terrestrial channels. (Nielson Korea)

According to ATAM, the 5th episode of ‘Three Meals a Day - Fishing Village 3’ aired on November 11th set the record of average 13.56% viewership. This is 0,1% higher than the last week episode at 13.46%. The minute with the highest viewership number was at 22:16 and set the record of 16.96% ATAM viewership.

Next tvN ‘Three Meals a Day - Fishing Village 3’ airs at 9:15pm on upcoming November 18th
