Park Shin-hye, Kim Woo-bin, Lee Jong-suk: Three friends dominate weekday dramas

Park Shin-hye, Kim Woo-bin, and Lee Jong-suk, the three friends of same age are dominating the drama world from Monday to Thursday. Park Shin-hye, Kim Woo-bin, and Lee Jong-suk worked with each other previous and still keep their friendship.

Park Shin-hye co-starred with Kim Woo-bin in SBS 'Heirs' and with Lee Jong-suk in SBS "Pinocchio"previously. Kim Woo-bin and Lee Jong-suk also co-starred in KBS 2TV's 'School 2013'. As the three friends, who worked together in the same dramas previously, and each of them headline the recently started dramas during the similar time period, their appearance and the dramas are drawing attention.

The one who went first was Park Shin-hye. She conquered the Monday & Tuesday dramas with her role Yoo Hye-jeong, in SBS "Doctors", which premiered on June 20th. This is her drama comeback in one year and six months since her appearance in SBS "Pinocchio", She shows off the sweet chemistry with Kim Rae-won, which majorly contributed to the dominance among the Monday & Tuesday dramas.

Following after the success of Park Shin-hye with her Monday & Tuesday drama, Kim Woo-bin and Lee Jong-suk are competing directly during the same airtime. As Kim Woo-bin's "Uncontrollably Fond"premiered on July 6th started off at a better place earlier, Lee Jong-suk is chasing closely after his best friend with "W", which started two weeks later.

Park Shin-hye secured the first place among Monday & Tuesday dramas. Lee Jong-suk's "W" is right behind Kim Woo-bin's "Uncontrollably Fond" by the tight 1.6% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide). The best friends are competing with each other.

Park Shin Hye sends food to BEAST members

Actress Park Shin Hye reciprocates the love she received from BEAST member Junhyung.

Just recently, BEAST Junhyung sent a food truck to the filiming of Park Shin Hye’s drama “Doctors”. And on July 22, Park Shin Hye then surprised not only Junhyung but other members of BEAST with a sumptuous meal as well.

Junhyung relayed his gratitude to the actress by posting a snapshot of it on his Instagram with other members stating their thankfulness and fanboying moments as well.

Junhyung captioned the photo stating how they gained a lot of strength through the food and even stated that it was given by the pretty Yoo Hae Jung from “Doctors”.

Han Hye Jin become a patient. Was JH and HJ already in good term or it was just because they professionalism ...the vibe between JH and HJ still like a cold war to me..

For next week episodes, I hope our OTP can reconcile their differences and relationship conflicts. I realize in episode 10, YHJ has slowly opened up to HJH and was trying to understand HJJ and the love/relationship between namja and yeoja. 

After the reconciliation, I'm anticipating more OTP moments that will make us swoon over, lovely/huggy/kissy moments we were all waiting and thirsting for. I hope so! We barely had our OTP moments in the latest 2 episodes. Maybe just about 10 minutes? Too short! I guess if they're crazy in love, it could be considered as personal growth for both of them, as they can finally breaking down their emotional walls to walk on flowery path together.

YHJ is a brilliant and goal-oriented person, she's very determined and objective in living her life and to get what she wants. Once she understand about love and ready to accept HJH's love, she will return all the love to him. She once told YD that she will always gives back what she gets right?

I think the focus of the latest 2 episodes is to build the background story of HJH life.

With 20 episodes left, I hope the writer can plot her story as fast and exciting as the first 6 episodes. There are many interesting things that will bound to happen, can YHJ escape the punishment from discliplinary committee, her grandma's case, the shady medical practice and how many bad surgeries gone wrong were kept under wrap by JSW's father, the fall of Jin's family throne in the hospital, IJ will be back to shake our OTP's relationship and to pursue HJH again and I have a tiny hope along the way they will show some flashbacks of our otp life for the past 13 yrs, especially YHJ's struggle to become a doctor.

Lets hope rating will break 20% next week!!

it wasn't in the episodes that aired, but in the backstory that they released prior to the show, it shows little HJ being abused by the stepmother, and stepmom putting on a facade when grandma was over to visit HJ. i wished they had added that in the episodes that aired so that we could understand why HJ hates stepmom that much, and probably dad not believing HJ which led to HJ's rebellion that we see in the first episode. 

 

@kimchipancakes, I think the writer gave us the reason HJ hated her stepmother:

-  In episode 7 the argument between her mother and father revealed that the father was having an affair with the now stepmother.

-  I could be wrong, but it also appears that her mother committed suicide due to the "love" she had for HJ's father who was having an affair

-  HJ's stepmother physically abused her, until she was probably olde enough to protect herself

-  It's pretty obvious that HJ's father never tried to protect her from this abuse.   Look how he allowed her stepmother talk to her about killing her grandmother. What father who loves his child even a tiny bit would allow that to be said to their child?

-  Also, HJ's grandmother told her that she knew she wasn't being raised as a precious daughter.

I can understand the resentment she feels for both her stepmother and her father.

I wish she would smack down IJ but I'm sure she won't. She has come to far.  The biggest smack down for In Joo is seeing Hye Jung and and Ji Hong together.

JSW's attitude as doctor is just the same as her father, lack of compassion and empathy. In episode 5, while watching our otp saving the collapsed patient from the plane, she said the patient will be dead anyway because she reach hospital too late for operation. How can she say that? Can she as a doctor give up on her patient? Doctors should try their very best to save a patient's life? Only when she has soft spot for the patient she will try her best to save the patient? Like the ahjumma from restaurant. She was acting unprofessionally during the awake surgery. When will she grow up?

In the elevator scene episode 10, she told YPG that she's done catering to others. Is she the one who always has been mistreated all this while? This princess? I understand that she was getting pressured by her grandpa, father and her mother. She can't disobey her family that's why she keep pressing other people.

Only because she got rejected by YD she feels that she is being mistreated? In episode 2 when she confessed to HJH, he was right when he told her that everyone gets hurt. It is how you deal, you cope with the pain and move on.

YHJ still didn't get her closure of her grandma's death. I wish one day YHJ can knock some senses to JSW's head, tell how she lost her only grandma because of JSW's father. But all this while JSW keep blaming YHJ because SH, HJH and YD chose YHJ instead of her. I hope JSW will change after she knows about it.

In episode 3, grandma said YHJ will be indebted to JSW forever because her father is going to operate grandma and save her. But it was actually the other way around.

Maybe our otp will learn about relationship between namja and yeoja from this couple. How you share and bear one another's burdens. How to love each other through thick and thin. Our JiHye

Looks like HJ and JH will meet a lovely couple in the new ep. Maybe they will see how wonderful their future would be when they are togther through the couple. Hope they realize that whatever differences they have, utimately they want to be together, and will work them out.

for example not everyone watches doctors so they may not know who hong ji hong or yoo hye jung are, but they are more likely to know the actors by their real name. when they search i guess it's easier to use the latter bc it will yield more results and thus show up for people who don't watch the show but are familiar with the actors

idk just a thought. it was a little jarring for me at first too bc i remember seeing a headline on naver that mentioned a kissing scene for a drama between the two characters but the way it was worded and the fact that they used their real names made me think they were caught kissing irl LMAO 

@rameennoodles, yes, I think that could be for searching purposes but If you don't is familiar with the system, isn't good.  Imagine what people who only read the title could think... They can use "The PSH character in 'Doctors' blah, blah, blah... or sometimes like that. And imagine if they "married" a lead couple  like our amazing OTP...  Could be baaaaaaad for our hearts.
