@Ariodante Very insightful! It totally supports what I was thinking. 

As I watched that part of the interview, my first thought was he is really tired of this question. By touching his ear the way he did, though, plus the grin while answering it, I get the impression that, more than anything, he might be a bit embarrassed at the fact that this even is a question he gets asked. 2 possible reasons for the embarrassment: 1) wondering what, outside of the show, he has done that would make people think he might be gay or 2) the simple fact that he is still not use to the celebrity status and someone would even ask such a personal question.

Earlier in the interview, his responses to questions regarding his sudden fame makes me think that this is one reason he and JY seem so compatible/connected. I said it somewhere before, that the show threw them together into this wild celebrity. I think they share similar thoughts about the crazy ride their lives have become - the uncertainty of what they want in life, how much they are willing to put up with, how far they want to push themselves, etc. They are going through all of this with/because of each other.

Notes on the last part of the interview, when ZZ starts talking about JY specifically - doesn't he seem to get a little overly serious? Very matter of fact? During the interview he often looked off to the side, but while talking about JY he seemed to make more of an effort to look straight into the camera (though it didn't really work). When ZZ said that he will definitely work with JY in the future, look at the way he raises his eyebrows. A silent 'attention getter,' like saying "I really, really mean this." Also, when he talks about JY taking on other movie roles, ZZ has looked off to the side quite often, but at that comment his glance appeared to be more towards the ground than the other glances. 

(I actually feel a little guilty "feeding" the conspiracy theory, but d*mn it's fun )

As you can see, JY does not treat his buddy the same way as ZZ. He always has this distance with other ppl(not only FB). If there is no special feeling involved, I don't know what to think anymore.

Description of Evidence: ZZ seems to have a habit of pointing his toes (curling his toes?) during some of the more intimate and aggressive moments. Ex. 1: BTS of rehearsals, when JY flips him and ZZ hits his head on the dresser - as JY moves ZZ away from the dresser ZZ's toes are pointed (and stay that way). I do not believe this is from pain, as his toes stay pointed even after the rest of his body begins to show signs of relaxing Ex. 2: Episode 15  - the scene we're all dying to own the DVD for (the particular cut is from a BTS/cut scene) - as ZZ climbs onto the bed and straddles JY, his toes are pointed and they stay pointed even after lifting his feet off of the bed as he leans down to kiss JY. The other scenes I don't remember specifically at this moment (did I tell you I've been awake for 22 hours?) also showed his feet being pointed while JY was either holding and/or kissing ZZ. 

Description of Theory: High emotional output causes the muscles of the body to tense. Sometimes as a whole, sometimes in groups, sometimes individually. Often, that tension is exhibited in the feet and legs. (Subconsciously, we do not want others to see our tension, and the lower half of one's body tends to be seen as out of the line of sight or not paid much attention to.)Hence the saying "____ made my toes curl."

Conclusion: Being in intimate proximity to JY caused emotional tension in ZZ, at least more than once.

If this theory seems to be a bit of stretch - blame it on sleep deprivation

Guys, can someone translate this please? This is from the official fb page. (apparently I think there is a new concern that the cast will be changed? Also on the chinese forum I check daily - and this is maybe not true, so at the moment take it as a rumour or kind - but they are talking about some kind of interview that will be broadcasted tomorrow (by whom I don't know) and theoretically we will get more info about this. (I can post a screenshoot about it too if you want me too - however I can only rely on google translate)

I can't remember if anybody mentioned this movie here before, but I've recently watched the trailer and it seems like a lovely film! The trailer is great, the story is interesting, the acting is amazing from what I can tell, it seems so promising! But when will they finally release it? It started streaming on festivals last year and still no DVD? I can't wait to watch it, who knows when that will happen though. I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want to watch it soon.

Is this about Johnny follows various bikini models in instagram?  

Don't be so upset with that. There are several possible explanations:

1/ He is pretending to be straight - may or may not, we will never know. 

2/ He is straight or maybe bi - remember that once, he had a phone case with boobs on it. Zhouzhou also makes a suggestive gesture when ELLEMEN QA asks Johnny about his ideal girl.

3/ It was in the past - you know, pre-Zhouzhou and post-Zhouzhou  

Whichever the reason is, I do not think the instagram disapprove the strong connection between Johnny and Zhouzhou. It's there, we see and feel it, many more see and feel it, both on their on screen performance during filming Addicted and on off screen (I use off screen in a very broad sense, including interviews, BTS, fan meeting, candid fancam etc).

On screen chemistry can be trained; experience professional actors can establish chemistry with any on screen partner.

Off screen chemistry is rarer and usually is established under certain/unique circumstances. Maybe it is founded on the basis of shared, intense experience (people in same near-death situation usually will develop intense bondin, we can see this both in the army or in spcancer survivors, for the example). As @sohocomo has explained, Johnny and Zhouzhou do share intense experience of filming Addicted and the chaos/fame that follows. Maybe, it is founded on the basis of similarities (similar hobby, similar background, etc), but I don't think Johnny and Zhouzhou have this. Johnny even says on LETV interview that he does not have many common things with Zhouzhou. Maybe, it is founded on first impression (maybe physicial, maybe some unexplainable intuition etc). This is more common than we might think; maybe we even have moments where we think "I don't know why I like him/her; we just clicked". I guess, Zhouzhou left this impression to Johnny (at least, according his statement in NetEase interview).

Personally, I am basing YuZhou ship on the existence of this bond between them. I believe bond-based relation is stronger, deeper relation (be that sexual in nature or not) than lust-based relation (which definitely sexual but may or may not develop into something long lasting and strong). So, I am comfortable with the ship as long as Johnny and Zhouzhou maintain their current level of intimacy. They can not meet 24/7, that's plain impossible. BUT if when they meet, they still exhibit the same intimacy like they do now, I am happy  

Tidbits like same ear rings etc only enforcing the presence the relationship, not causing the relationship. On this, we can see a good example on how GH and BLY have different opinion on "couple items". GH thinks that the presence of couple items creates a relationship, that is why he is jealous of BLY keeping SH's watch and buy so many couple items to "create" his relationship with BLY. BLY, on the other hand, is more like me. He thinks that couple items enforce an established relationship. As long as the underlying relationship is non exist, he no longer has relationship with SH, the watch signifies nothing. IF BLY does not have any romantic relationship with GH, all couple items that GH has bought also signify nothing. The items only have meaning and precious because he already established relationship with GH.

Sorry for spamming with long, (so-called) analytical post. I will put this one in spoiler to make it cleaner  

on Zhouzhou:

I understand that some people, in this forum and not, think that Zhouzhou is harder to read. I think that is because he is an educated actor thus people think that he is more capable of controlling his expression, word choices etc than Johnny?

I agree with this to certain extent. Both Zhouzhou and Johnny are good looking and talented. But, Johnny is like raw diamond while Zhouzhou is polished. Johnny performs well in Addicted and when singing the sad song because he put his passion and emotions to those things. The same can be said on his modelling. When he put his passion and emotion, his photo shot come "alive". We can see that his ELLE shot with Fangbo is better than his lone shots. His shots with Zhouzhou is even better than his ELLE with Fangbo.

Zhouzhou, on the other hand, is trained in arts since young (?). He started his band and practicing music since high school. He also attends acting classes at University. He knows how to control and exercise his potentials for his benefits (maybe not to his utmost yet). That is why he play BLY so well, despite his natural characteristics are different than BLY. That is why he sings mellow, romantic songs well, despite liking rock/metal (?) better. That is (part of) why he is so gracious to fans, always smiling and chatting amicably; because he is trained to do so.

But, as I put the "part of" in emphasis, the training is only part of variables which determine Zhouzhou now. I believe that he is naturally a kind and honest man. While Johnny is blunt in his honesty, Zhouzhou is refined in his honesty.

Check at Johnny's LETV interview and Zhouzhou's iQiYi's interview. I think they essentially speak the same things: they were doing Addicted without thinking it would be this big, they are caught unprepared in this fame, they are (relatively) still trying to find the best things to do. But Johnny says these in a very blunt way, which I have stated, makes me astonished. I have never seen an American/British star saying blunt things like that, LOL. Zhouzhou is also being honest, but he uses refine words, metaphors, etc to lessen the brunt caused by his honesty.

Zhouzhou is also a very expressive person. When he says/feels something, he uses his body language to emphasis that. Look at how his head and shoulder move around as he speak. Look at how his hands and fingers, legs and feet also move around as he speak. Look at how his eyes, eyebrow and mouth move around. This explains why we can still see Zhouzhou's smile even when he uses mask: because he smiles with all of his body language.

Training body language is possible and actors surely train them a lot. But again, Zhouzhou is not that trained, therefore I believe that his current body language is more of his natural predisposition instead of the result of his training. If it is Brad Pitt, I will tend to be more on guard and not taking everything he says and does for granted. But for Zhouzhou, his body language expresses a lot. That is why I am able to read Zhouzhou clearly: he is very expressive and he has not been able (or does not try) to hide/manipulate his body language.

First case study: during Men's UNO QA, both Johnny and Zhouzhou look at each other a lot. In Johnny's case, his gazes to Zhouzhou are honest and blunt gaze, expressing his care and appreciation without any pretence. Very different than how he gazes at Fangbo.

On Zhouzhou's case, it is possible that he gazes Johnny because of his training; gazing co-star during interview is the right thing to do according to acting theory and practices. But, I believe that Zhouzhou's gaze during the interview is honest because he gazes with all of his expression and he can not control his own expression as good as, say Brad Pitt. If it was Brad Pitt who gazes at Johnny like Zhouzhou, I'd say that's more acting than natural.

Second case study: on ELLEMEN photo shot, when Johnny suddenly hugs Zhouzhou and smiles during photo shot. Johnny do that subconsciously, part of him being honest. You can see that on those three seconds, he has a very different expression: relaxed, smiling, warm. His usual expression during photo shot are: serious, detached, stiff mimic.

Zhouzhou on the other hand, is smirking when Johnny pulls him closer. Zhouzhou's smirk, I believe, is part of acting. It is the same smirk in every shot before that one. It's Zhouzhou's "professional model face". I think he came to understand that his smirks transform him from cute to deadly sexy, so he uses the smirks a lot (that Men's UNO smirk... Oh dear Heavens! I just want to lock him and- ahem. You got my point.)

But, during the ELLEMEN QA, Zhouzhou acts differently. He looks relax, smiling more often and his body language is responding to Johnny's. Not once he uses his smirks. This Zhouzhou, I believe, is the natural Zhouzhou.
