All those years SO’S BEEN BASICALLY LIVING BY HS’ WORDS, FOLLOWING THEM LIKE A RELIGION because it WAS HER who had instilled the notions of equality and freedom and justice so long ago and HE HAS NEVER FORGOTTEN IT! He’s been thinking about her every single day he’s been away from her!

I feel like quoting your every post because they're so beautifully written and I agree with everything you said. One thing I must add though, it's actually THREE CHANCES OF HAPPINESS WITH WANG SO which Soo had let slip through her fingers. Remember this scene after laundry?

I remember how we all whined about eps 12 that there were only 3 OTP moments and how Soo used every single one of those moments to break So's heart. It's only now clear how significant eps 12 is. It gives us the ultimate statement of how deep and selfless So's love for Soo actually was, how his love stayed firm through the time and grew only stronger through all the rejections. It also serves as the LAST episode where our OTP is free from any political problems, how close they were actually to that happy ending and how they just let it slip through their fingers forever. I actually miss the time where our OTP relationship's problem was only Soo's feeling towards Wook; as annoying as it might seem, it was nothing compared to the present one. Started from eps 13, the political issue started seeping into their relationship and since then they were no longer free. Eps 12 is truly a farewell moment for the free and happy ending of our OTP.

As much as I resent Soo for letting those chances slipping away, I'd like to think that Soo did it for So all the way.

The first rejection, her feeling for Wook still remained and thus she didn't want to give So hope. She also knew that So's feeling towards her caused him leaving the palace he had been longing to be in for so long.  She was the one who knew the most how happy he was to get accepted in the palace and he couldn't let him sacrifice that hardly gained happiness.

The second rejection was even stronger and harsher than the first. This was because after 2 years separation, I believe she missed him so much and realized that she actually loved him. We can see that from her tears when she heard his voice. This realization only made her pushed him away even harder than before, because she couldn't let the man she loved sacrificing his status and future for her.

Third rejection, again she couldn't let him sacrifice his future, now that she knew his destiny thanks to King Taejo. She might not realize at that time, but actually she has grown the same selfless love to So just like what So has for her. She was willing to sacrifice her own happiness for what she thought would be the best for him. She had that open door to freedom right in her hands, but she didn't want to take it in expense of his future.

Quoting your nickname for our OTP:  "OUR DOOMED BABIES", they basically doom themselves for their significant others. If only one of them has a bit of selfishness and acts accordingly, their future would be very different. In the end, the reason for their doomed future is because they love each other selflessly.

My thoughts exactly. The rap music at first just threw me off. My BFF is waiting for MLSHR to finish before binge watching it - I told her to ignore the funny music and the messy editing in first 3 episodes - just keep her eyes on LJG and hang in there for the story to develop. If she could be crazy about c- drama Lan Ling Wang - then Wang So should easily be a home run for her.

I assume this might have been posted already as this was from 3 weeks ago but thought it was funny!  Stumbled upon it on tumblr.  JH posted it on his IG "what is this" and LG replied "can you feel my love? i love you guys so much" and JH replied "yes it feels very cozy" (rough translation).  Good to know they do see the fan art and are even amused by the funny ones!

In rewatching episode 5 there's a hilarious bit where Hae Su wants to go to the bathroom after meeting the King. (stomach cramps? Diarrhea?) She spots one of Wang So's friends, a TREE, and decides to go for it. And that's when Wang So steps out and greets her and she tells him how good he looks in his prince clothes. CUTTTEE esp with the significance of the tree and how Hae Su was basically going to go to the bathroom on one (oh show, never stop)

I don't know if this is confirmed but I read somewhere in the thread that baseball will be aired on SBS Sport. Maybe SBS learnt their lesson but better late than never.

I think it's their grave because there's 2. And I don't think WS will bury his unborn child in the wood (especially his and HS's child). Something caught my eyes, does the praying hand position standard like this in SK? I don't know, I am a chinese Malaysian and usually place our palm closer to our chin or neck when we pray. 

The syndrome before I get my fix of 2 episodes of ML, observing everything about this drama.

The benefits of being in a different time zone is.... That the first thing I get to watch Monday morning before work is Scarlet Heart: Ryeo! 

At 6AM... No exactly ideal but it gives me more of a reason to get up on Monday Mornings. Plus, the last few times the TV station has cancelled I woke up early for nothing. Sadly, there is not much time left before The End and back to plain old "I don't want to get up" Monday Mornings.

I think it's not a grave. Its just build of stone to pray for someone don't know for who, she is praying for. Because the grave for princes or royal family can't just like that.. in early ep when haesoo and wook go to lady hae grave . You can see the grave is not like that its like a little hill .
