I never doubted their love for each other. I understand both predicaments as well as their personalities and principles. After watching the drama for the third time and the SBS version with English subtitles uploaded at Kissasian, I finally come to understand the writer and my opinion is that the drama is wrapped up nicely, even the ending. It is tragic, it is cruel and it is ironic yet it is also beautiful and deep. I guess that is why I can move on easily because I accept that things are just meant to be the way they are. I guess it may have to do with the passing of her mother, the few years left with her that she had some realizations on life. That affects her in writing the script I guess. Though, you put it across more eloquently and brilliantly than I do. I always agree with your posts and enjoy reading them. I read in a post that you teach students to write essays, you can be my teacher! *bows head* Haha! Thanks @Rose34. You're too kind and very sweet. Always enjoy hearing from someone else who shares the same views. Sometimes I think the show was made just for me because I like almost everything about it. Which is quite ironic as it turns out because I didn't like the first episode the first time I saw it. It's so strange how that's turned out because I feel like I've become one of the show's staunchest defenders by virtue of my liking it as much as I do. The editing issues have never really fazed me in the way it seems to bother others. In fact, for me it's one of the show's charms that there's ambiguity and no exposition overkill as is the case with many K dramas. It's been such a wonderfully, stimulating journey for me to be following this show. I'd love to go back and watch all the episodes again but that will have to be for my summer holidays in December, which isn't really all that far away. My firmest opinion is that this show was probably slated to be at least 24 episodes judging from all the editing issues and rumours of deleted scenes. 20 episodes for a sageuk is ridiculous, especially one spanning over three decades. I don't think I've ever watched a sageuk with less than 23 episodes before (aside from The Three Musketeers but that was supposed to be the first of multiple seasons). Almost everyone's been busy gunning the PD and writer for the show's problems but I suspect that the real problem probably lies with the money types. Thank you too, @LyraYoo... I feel we ought to form a ML minority-who-loved-the-ending club after this.

It's quite well-written & realistic, and unlike MLSHR canon, it's HaeSoo-focused so we get to see her inner thoughts a lot more clearly. I love it! When the Water Has Run Dry by mellowdee Summary: Go Ha Jin tries to find herself. Author's Notes: I loved Moon Lovers, but I wanted a very satisfying ending. This is what I would have wanted to see. Randomly made up a future name for Wang So. Thought it was fitting. Thank you so much for reading! If you love it, please leave kudos & comments to let the author know. Enjoy! I love it too! Thanks for sharing! Do check it out if you haven't, fellow Eclipses!

Almost everyone's been busy blaming the PD and writer for the show's problems but I suspect that the real problem probably lies with the money types. Agree with you, especially the highlighted part. Sageuks shouldn't be less than 25-ish in my opinion, since the plots are usually heavy on palace politics, which most of viewers might not be familiar with. Moonlight Drawn by Clouds (MDBC) was only 18 episodes, and even with the rave reviews and high ratings, I still feel that the story could be fleshed out better. To add more, MDBC's story and atmosphere were 'lighter' compared to Moon Lovers, so that's more reason for sageuks dramas to not have episodes under 25. And same as you, I still love Moon Lovers as a whole, despite the glaring flaws and controversies. Maybe because the characterization of the leads are so strong at the beginning, it got me hooked immediately, especially Wang So, that's why I come to love this beautiful and lovely mess, hahahaa...

I was thinking the same: that Jung feared it might seem suspicious, e.g an attempt of forgery.Besides, in the past HS and WS ´s political rivals spread rumors that HS is a spy. In any case, WJ tried to protect HS. 2. same case here
