the SBS version had Hae Soo's internal monologue while pushing Wang Soo away after he came back from Shinju, and the conversation between princess Yeon Hwa and Wang So is longer & she mentioned Hae Soo, I'm gonna wait for Kissasian to Sub it

He was wearing armor, I think. We saw WY watching WW getting dress before the performance, and it was during that scene it appears he was putting on his armor underneath his outfit.

as for soo, hanging on to wook, it still frustrate me. but i am guessing cant fault her for trying to hang on to the one notion of possible happiness, even though i think she knows it's a mere fantasy.

i am still upset that it's already ep 13 and judging by the way things progressing we are still nowhere, that the so many plots will be crammed into the 8 ep left.

not getting any hope for ep 13, so i wont be disappointed.

Oh. one thing that i want to applaud this show is how they keep on surprising us, the viewers, with the flow of the story. We are speculating, guessing, predicting and hoping of what would come next. and BAMMMM, Everything we are guessing are incorrect. Everything that we wants are not given directly and the worst is, everything comes when we let our guard down. I kept on being surprise with every episode and so with ep 12. I really don't see that coming in ep 12. So, i think this is one of the formula in this drama that makes all of us addicted to it: An unexpected plot.

100000% agree. Being a non-korean speaking, watching the live streaming with only less than 1% understanding of what the characters were talking, enabled me to watch closely on HS because with subtitle you tend to busy reading it and overlook some of the expression she is emoting. Your review is soooo spot on...all i see in her eyes in her scene with WS is LOVE...and also SADNESS and HOPELESSNESS...because she cannot act on it. and i was so heavy at heart during their scenes even tho i didnt know wth they were saying..

Anyway, So being amazing So...he can read her like an open book no matter how hard she try to fend him away with her words..that's why he kept proposing to her, coxing her to let him through...i know his heart is also breaking but he was smiling all along because he knew he had to be strong and act as a pillar for her as that is what she needs the most at the moment eventho she kept denying him.

Knowing all these, i really2 am afraid about what will happened in the future...their love is so strong,their misunderstanding and parting will be sooo huge i dont know if my heart can take it.

I watched the live SBS version last night and without fully understand their conversations ... I could feel Soo's love for So has gone deeper. I feel sad for her that she has to bury all inside.  The way Soo looks at So is so telling with meanings, even So can tell that ... that's why he always get really close to her to make contact with her eyes.  He knows words can be lies but not her eyes.

MLSHR broke my monitor. Literally. Well, I broke my monitor while watching MLSHR, but still, all the same. WTF!!!

The DramaFever version effing annoyed me... so much so that I pulled my laptop so hard and now my secondary monitor is in pieces on the floor. And before I clean up, I have to rant here.

You see, I managed to watch the SBS version last night while on the train to work (There goes my exorbitant phone bill, kill me now). Then I checked on this thread, as usual, to see your reactions. And I couldn't understand why everyone is so pissed off!

Obviously HS still has some residual feelings for WW, but the scenes with WS are so full of love from BOTH sides -- all unspoken, of course -- that I felt like my heart was bursting. WS always hiding the pain he feels for her, and smiling to make light of the situation & give her hope; HS full of worry for WS's safety and her unspoken affection for him..... I thought the episode was so well done. It makes my heart so full I could barely concentrate at work.

Then..... I watched the DF version once I got back, and DARN IT! Why the heck did I do this to myself? The edit was so bad it should be illegal. I cannot recapture the feelings I got from SBS version at all. They made her into pathetic shell of a girl pining for lost love and blind towards the present (Unlike in SBS version, where she acknowledges the love she still feels for WW but cannot deny the pull she feels towards WS, and also doing what she can to protect both of them from herself, out of love and concern she feels for them). The changes don't seem so major, a few lines here and there, but what a difference it made... (Or is it just me?)

Anyway, gonna clean up. MLSHR is really destroying my life, piece by piece.

Is the rest of the show going to be WS continuing to persue HS and right at the end -when it's too late- she accepts her feelings wholeheartedly? And ofcourse the ending as our amazing astronomers say would be WS transported to 21st century with HS.

I saw that too but I don't understand why. It's not like he's going to war or there's isn't some battle breaking out. The only thing that's happening is the assassination of the king which really doesn't mean he needs to wear an armour. Is her afraid he might be betrayed by WangYo?

I hope not. In the C-drama, Ruoxi and the 4th prince couldn't be together until the last 20% of the drama, but the last 20% of the drama was the best in terms of showing how much they loved each other, even the sad parts where they both love each other, but are physically apart again. 

Right now, I feel like the only thing stopping HS from accepting WS is she worries she'll ruin him, but after WS become king, she won't have to worry.

Well, now I’m more inclined to think that Episode 11 was a lucky fluke. I feel spoiled from having a clear emotional through line that we could easily follow to having the sort of hodgepodge of scenes we got in this episode, where I was left struggling to figure out who we were following and what we should be rooting for them to accomplish. Was this about Su? So? Woo-hee? Killing the king? Focus, Moon Lovers! Focus.

I had a feeling we were in for a ride when that time skip rolled around, since we were already back to being excluded from the events of the episode—and then suddenly, we were dropped into the story a year later without even one exposition fairy to help catch us up. It was disorienting, and for the remainder of the episode I couldn’t help but feel like the show was just trying to keep itself afloat.

The rapid-fire succession of scenes would’ve been much easier to swallow if we had at least one point to anchor us, but we were effectively shut out from seeing Su’s point of view. What she’s been through has been extraordinary and more than enough to cause a person to shut down—but she’s still our heroine, and we need her to at least try to play an active role in events. Su’s biggest issue has been her lack of proactivity, which we could somewhat blame on circumstance before. And even now, we can point to circumstance as being the reason why she can’t help herself, only now she’s willingly given up on trying.

So without her even making an effort to change her fate, and with her being completely resigned to suffering in silence, I’m not sure what we’re supposed to want for her. Obviously, any viewer will want her to snap out of the funk she’s in, but to what end? It’d be great if So really could swoop in to save the day here, but Wook may have a point about his marriage solution not being that feasible. Even so, what is it that Su actually wants? For a hot second, her goal was to try and dissuade So from fulfilling his destiny. I can see why that’s changed now, but that doesn’t mean that she should be the one helping history along by suggesting that So should become king. What does she want to happen?

At least So’s trying, and in an hour so full of doom and gloom, that counts for a lot. Right now I’ve got all my hopes pinned on him, though it’s interesting to note how his father’s opinion has changed in such a short while. Then again, King Taejo seemed to be much more open to a lot of things, considering that he realized that Su was a time traveler. If he’d figured this out about her before and knew that it would’ve made Court Lady Oh happy for him to treat her as a daughter, why did that change now, after a year of hard labor? Was it really just that one cup of tea? More than ever, that would’ve been a scene to hear Su say something. Anything. Or for her to even realize that Astronomer Choi may know more than he’s letting on, and that he could be her ticket out of her misery. But that’d mean she’d have to want something first. So c’mon, Su. You’re from the future. Act like it.

i think IU give another good performance in this epi. HS's love and despiration were written all over IU's facial and eyes expression. she gave a different look  while with WW and WS. i think almost every sensible woman could see the difference. 

just be patient... i think WS-HS its gonna be a beautiful rebound

He was sooo cheeky when he said 'I lied'...if HS wasnt in such a pity state, i would love it if she pinched him or kicked his shin or better still kissed him back so he can have a heart attack.

The scene at that moment is so beautiful...two lovers taking a stroll under the shades of trees on a such a beautiful sunshiny day...the day was already bright and it became brighter with this

It's crazy how this drama can easily stirred up my emotions. One time I can rationalize things, but other times my emotions can also get the best of me.   It's proven when I watched episode 12 last night, my emotions get ahead of me. There are so many scene happening in episode 12, it's kinda lost some focus, but I'll just focus on our main characters, that people talked about many times. *sorry with the speed this thread is moving I haven't backread so let me know if someone talked about this before* Let me explain my emotions last night :

1) I started to get soooo frustrated with Hae Soo in her scene with Wook that I almost jumped out of our OTP ship. A lot of people misunderstand Hae Soo because we can't understand her inner conflict. We can only speculate. No offense to IU fans (I'm also one of her fans, though not so hardcore), but somehow her acting get ambiguous at times. Is she still in love with Wook by saying I miss you two times? Or she just surrendered and give up her love by saying do you even miss me? I don't know! I can't read the meaning of her face!

It'll be nice if we can get a glimpse to her inner thoughts more. Some people who watched the c-version said that Ruoxi narrates her inner thoughts, so many can empathize with her more. But in k-version we keep getting confused! So little inner thoughts, that's why people took their own conclusion, based on their own perspective. 

Though really, IU have some scenes she rocks! (that scene in the cave, people? that's diamond) but in some scene she seems lost, or maybe I'm the one who is lost! I don't know, I'm tired of speculating or beautifying the speculation. I need a glimpse to her inner thoughts more.. please! 

2) In every Hae Soo's scene with Wang So I can feel Wang So's hurt and happy feelings down to his eyes, his cheeks, his grin, his mouth, his muscle, his hair, his aura, his everything!  I sympathized with him so much it's crazy! I don't know about other people but LJK's micro-expressions really doesn't need any inner thoughts. He wears his emotions in his sleeve! Gosh, his acting is amazing. And I agree, I'm very biased. So that's why I feel like sometimes Hae Soo's rejection to Wang So seems a bit harsh. Also her getting the idea in his head about him becoming king. But she also started to realize that she cares about him so much. I'm so confused with her O.o 

3) In Wang Wook scene I'm totally amused by all his cowardice, his excuse, his little scheme, his sarcasm, and all other things he keeps doings that I wanted to head banged his head to the nearest wall. I won't feel this much hate to him if not for KHN great portrayal of Wang Wook. He is such a complex character but we can understand him, and hates him for that. Can't really say more, he is basically a wolf in a sheep clothing in our eyes and another pitiful man in Hae Soo's eyes. 

Right now, I'm in my right mind again, and I'm gonna speculate about our heroine, Hae Soo. Funny is, I've done character analysis on Hae Soo before (see here) and amazingly, I think it started to get some shape, like I said, right now she is in Surrender stage. So she just rejects everybody, in my opinion in her scene with Wang Wook she kind of basically says "I missed you. So you missed me. Okay. You don't have to worry about me just worry about your own problems" and rejected his empty help speech. She also keeps on rejecting Wang So's advance. She wanted some alone time, she rejects everyone, and just wanted to get away. It's understandable, with all those things happening to her, she finally see Goryeo ways in new light. 

But now with the king saying she needs to watch all those things happening, including Wang So becoming king, she is in confused state again. Everyone, she basically just switching back and forth between her confused to surrender stage right now. And just like I said, at one point she is gonna reach her Acceptance stage. So I'll try to have faith and wait for that moment to happen. But I'm still confused about what she wanted to do or how she views it all. Just like I said, lack of inner thoughts. If it's not getting better though I think I'm just gonna watch this drama to see Wang So's growth. Sigh. 

Also, another funny thing is, I already speculate about Taejo grooming Wang So to become king (see here)... I'm confused. Haha I think in my right mind I have knacks of reading the writer's intention-_- Or not. pfft. sorry. 

 

Well, thank you for those who takes time reading my little long post. Sorry if it's hard to understand because this post mirrors my confused state after emotional state last night, so it's kinda confusing for me too. I think just like Hae Soo, watching this drama I'll just keeps getting back and forth between rationalize understanding to emotions explode. Pfft
