[OFFICIAL] Kwak Si Yang & Kim So Yeon

The recap is here! Finally, right haha. But I really did enjoy this week's episode. Just like the MCs said, it felt like everything they did was like a part of a drama and it seemed really natural too. Also, just like everyone else, I'm excited for next week.

 

We start the day as Si Yang and So Yeon head to the MBC prop room. So Yeon is particularly excited about it saying that she’s been in a lot of dramas but it’s her first time to ever visit the prop room. They find the prop warehouse and begin to look around inside.

 

They first find some fake snow and Si Yang sprays some in the air before stepping inside as it falls over them. The MCs thusly complain, but So Yeon finds it all exciting. Some of the fake snow ended up getting on So Yeon’s face and Si Yang wipes it off for her.

 

They continue their search by wondering what they should do for January. So Yeon suggests monkeys, the animal for 2016. The two of them then discover animal suits, with the monkeys being there. So Yeon is completely excited but Si Yang doesn’t seem to like it. He says that So Yeon would seem cute in it, but he probably wouldn’t be. So Yeon objects, though, saying he’d look cute.

 

Si Yang does put the monkey head hat on, though, and So Yeon comments on how cute he is and gets even more excited when they find the matching outfits. She also comments on how she forgot about the competition and is just doing what she wants to do.

 

So they pack the monkey outfits and move onto finding boxes that would fit with their Valentine’s Day concept. Si Yang holds onto a box and So Yeon complains that the space between them is too much, but Si Yang brings his head closer to hers with the box between them.

 

There’s even a second floor and they find the metal container that delivery guys use to deliver black bean noodles for their April concept of Black Day. So Yeon laughs as she points that out saying that they’re slowly becoming a comedy group. For March, Si Yang comments on how weddings happen in March as well as the new school year and wonders if they should get married while wearing high school uniforms.

 

The two decide on the school uniforms and head to the costume room where there are rows of different uniforms lined up. So Yeon is completely excited to be there as she picks out skirts. Si Yang has other opinions, though, saying that the skirts So Yeon is picking are too short, demonstrating where they’d probably end up stopping.

 

That doesn’t stop So Yeon, though, who keeps picking out uniform clothes to wear. Si Yang still objects, though, but So Yeon doesn’t pay him any mind. They move onto the men’s uniforms and Si Yang finds one that must’ve been used by Yeo Jin Goo, due to the name tag in the uniform. So Yeon shakes the hand of the uniform causing Si Yang to jokingly wonder where the uniform Seolhyun wore is.

 

After finally picking out and changing into their uniforms, they meet again in the MBC lobby and comment on how nice the other looks. In his BRI, Si Yang says that So Yeon looked like a ‘Manjjitnyeo’ which means: a girl wearing a school uniform that came from a comic book. It’s similar to ‘Manjjitnam’ which So Yeon calls Si Yang. The only difference is the added school uniform part. He also says that she looked good in the uniform, it matched her well. In her BRI, So Yeon says that starting from when she saw his back, it was kind of like ‘Woah, who’s that oppa’ and comments that he was really handsome.

 

In the lobby, Si Yang tells So Yeon that even though they’re from different schools, because their uniforms are different, they should quickly skip school. They leave the lobby hand in hand and head to the car, where the captions joke and say that it’s the father’s car.

 

While they’re in the car, Si Yang says that it feels weird to be driving while wearing a uniform. They begin to jokingly sing each other’s names of Kitty and Puppy and Si Yang says that he really likes kitty, while So Yeon says that she really likes puppy. Si Yang then tells So Yeon to take responsibility and So Yeon makes a little song about it.

 

They worry about what type of concept they should do and when asked about it, So Yeon says that she wants to do it like dramas and movies. She references the movie Love Letter where the girl is secretly looking at the boy but then wonders if it’s plagiarism if they do the same thing but then says that it’s a homage instead.

 

Next is talk about the monkey costumes where So Yeon wonders what they should do. Si Yang still seems nervous about the entire idea but So Yeon wants to climb a tree. She suggests that they play rock paper scissors and the loser would fall and be on the ground while the other would have their tongue sticking out at the one on the ground. So Yeon asks Si Yang if they can do it that way but Si Yang just laughs.

 

They finally arrive at a school where they look for the photographer and discover that he took pictures for the other couples as well, mentioning the Byuu Couple. Si Yang comments on how they have to come out better than the Byuu Couple and the photographer comments on how the Byuu Couple is younger than they are and says that they’ll have to work harder, a statement that they agree with.

 

So Yeon and Si Yang set Slam Dunk as their first concept with So Yeon shyly holding the ball and Si Yang standing there looking cool. It’s difficult at first for the two of them since they’re both embarrassed, but they’re slowly able to get into it. The MCs comment on how good the pictures look and that it looks like they came out of a drama.

 

The next concept of theirs is where Si Yang is the school president and So Yeon is a freshman. They set it as So Yeon falling for Si Yang, who’s playing basketball. The scene is set with So Yeon holding an energy drink and Si Yang shooting baskets. Gosh, they’re playing SS501 in the background haha. So Yeon approaches Si Yang offering him the energy drink and Si Yang drinks it, telling So Yeon he drank it well before telling her to leave.

 

Si Yang think of something else next, where he’s teaching her how to shoot a basket. And wow, now they’re playing an old SHINee OST, both of the songs they played happen to be from Boys Over Flowers.

 

As the MCs see the pictures they comment on how much it looks like they’re in a movie and the one MC even comments that his stomach hurts because they came out really well. Park Mi Sun even says something about them getting best couple with those shots.

 

They then relocate to a classroom where they ask the photographer about what type of concept Byuu Couple did. He says that he doesn’t think they wore a school uniform and comments on the value of those two. The captions wonder if he’s a Byuu Couple fan.

 

Si Yang asks if they should do romance and they set the scene again with Si Yang studying while So Yeon sleeps on his shoulder. They then go through a couple of more poses such as sleeping together and listening to music together. The MCs talk about how pretty their pictures are as they see more.

 

The next concept is a ‘Itazura na Kiss’ or ‘Playful Kiss’ concept with Si Yang tutoring So Yeon, who is only looking at him. The two then begin to act cute with one another causing the MC to comment that whatever they do seems like a drama.

 

After goofing off a bit, the photographer tells them to keep going and to get a bit closer. So Yeon comments that they’re high school students, though, and the photographer asks if they’ve never kissed in high school before. Si Yang catches onto So Yeon’s reaction and asks who she kissed in high school. The two start their playing around again and we see more pictures from their classroom experience.

 

They move to the art room and Si Yang suggests that they each draw the other’s face. While drawing, So Yeon comments on Si Yang’s eyebrows, calling them pretty and Si Yang is shocked that she’s even drawing that. So Yeon wonders what he’s drawing then.

 

Si Yang apologizes for his drawing and So Yeon tells him that she can’t even tell who hers is. They reveal their pictures after the count of three and Si Yang is impressed with his picture. So Yeon is confused, though. Si Yang attempts to explain it, but So Yeon is thankful for it, despite it not having eyes, nose, or a mouth.

 

In the BRI, So Yeon asks if he really drew her. In the end she says that it was pretty and she’s okay with it. In his BRI, Si Yang comments on his lack of drawing skills saying that he’s sorry and that he wants to draw her again, given another chance.

 

The concept in the art room this time is that So Yeon is the sunbae teaching Si Yang. As they’re trying to set the pose Si Yang wonders if he should look at her, but So Yeon is concerned with their positioning saying that the sunbae is too seducing with the arm around Si Yang. Si Yang just smiles, though, and tells her to do it more.

 

They finally begin to take pictures but in the middle of one shoot, Si Yang begins to exclaim “Oh.” Wondering why he says that, he admits that So Yeon keeps blowing air into his ear while taking the pictures but he says that he’s just joking around.

 

The comments say that the students are now 10 years older as we see the pictorial for Valentine’s Day. As Si Yang and So Yeon walk to the lobby, Si Yang wonders how So Yeon can be so pretty and So Yeon says that Si Yang is handsomer.

 

They decide on the stairs as the site for their pictures and begin to set up the boxes, flower petals, and candles they have prepared. They sit down on the stairs for their pictures and the two of them are shy a bit.

 

Si Yang then stands up and begins to collect the flower petals with the idea to throw them in the air. Si Yang tells the photographer that the thing that’s giving them the most strength is that they have Valentine’s Day and the two are confident that they’ll come out well for it.

 

Si Yang throws the flowers and they try to get a good shot. As Si Yang collects the petals for the next shot, So Yeon suggests that they do a bit more skinship with one another rather than just simply smiling. Si Yang gets another idea but tells So Yeon to have her head stay there without telling her what his idea is.

 

He throws the flowers and gets closer to her, touching their noses against one another while the petals fall around them. He immediately checks with the photographer while So Yeon has a mental breakdown.

 

He keeps collecting the flower petals and tells So Yeon that he thinks the Oh Yeah couple, who went to the ski resort, are having fun with one another while they’re only working. We see that as they keep collecting and throwing the flowers as the captions tell us that he’s looking for the best cut.

 

They change up their poses and Si Yang suggests that they do a scene like one that appeared in the drama My Name is Kim Sam Soon on the stairs. They start to take the pictures and the MCs comment on how they look like the ending of a drama and a drama poster.

 

Once the two meet each other on the stairs the two get closer with Si Yang putting his head closer to So Yeon’s. After a while 7he pulls away asking if it worked and says that it felt like his heart was going to burst. The photographer tells him that they can do it a bit more, and so they do.

 

Si Yang gets closer to her and once the photographer calls it, Si Yang immediately begins to have his little mental breakdown and So Yeon tells him to breathe. They do other poses and we see that Si Yang was holding his breath the entire time.

 

In the BRI, So Yeon says that they got closer, as in the distance between them in the pictures, than she originally thought and that it made her heart beat fast. She also says that she thinks her husband is someone who can keep making her nervous. In his BRI, Si Yang admits that he wasn’t able to breathe well and that when he heard his wife breathing, it was a comfortable feeling, so he really liked it.

 

They try again on the stairs and the captions point out So Yeon’s turning head. Si Yang tells her not to turn her head and So Yeon admits that it happened without her knowing. Si Yang jokes around and asks if it’s a habit that she has.

 

It’s time for their April shoot with Black Day as their main focus with black bean noodles. They wonder what they should do and decide upon a date concept but do it humorously while both eating one side of a noodle.

 

Their pictures start and the photographer tells them that they can eat some more as they go along. The two get closer and closer, with the photographer telling them to do so. He also tells them that they can’t spit it out. They get closer and closer to one another and the photographer tells them to get cheek to cheek again when their lips touch one another. So Yeon turns away and Si Yang asks if she’s okay.

 

In her BRI, So Yeon says that she didn’t know that they were going to get that close to one another and says that their lips slightly touched. So Yeon says that their first kiss was from black bean noodles and that she was really embarrassed. Si Yang, during his, says that he was only going closer like what was said and that their lips touched and he was flustered, but he liked it even though it was short.

 

Finally, they have their January photoshoot. Si Yang is out on the street first in the monkey costume and the MC comments on how it’s a relief that he doesn’t look cool in that. So Yeon appears and comments on how cute he looks. That’s when Si Yang notices the makeup on her face and asks what it is. So Yeon offers to do it to him and Si Yang eventually gives in. So Yeon calls him cute the entire time.

 

She calls him monkey but he admits that he’s a dog-monkey because the monkey clothes were too small, therefore he has the dog outfit with the monkey hat. They hold hands in their outfit as they walk on the street.

 

They begin to take the pictures outside of the MBC building where Si Yang is dying from embarrassment. So Yeon tries to cheer him up by saying that he’s cute. They both find themselves embarrassed when the picture taking starts. Si Yang announces to everyone to have a happy new year before they continue their photoshoot.

 

They both begin to comment on how cute the other looks while on the street during their photoshoot when they get recognized and are asked if they’re filming WGM. They say that they are and the woman comments that So Yeon is pretty. Si Yang, proudly, says that she is.

 

They stand on the street in their outfits and take some pictures while skipping. Through their laughter, Si Yang asks what people would think of them doing that and So Yeon says that they would probably be thinking to not do WGM.

 

Si Yang’s worried that So Yeon is cold and gives her resting time for a minute while acting cute before they start taking pictures again, this time jumping in the street.

 

They finish their shoot with a piggyback ride.

 

In the preview for next week Si Yang greets So Yeon in the airport. They go to the beach where Si Yang says that there is a lot he wants to do for her and where they read that their 100 day contract is up. In the bridal shop, So Yeon wonders what Si Yang is going to start calling her and says that she hates the name ‘noona.’

Next... SiSo honeymoon... or new year trip... Superman Nampyonnim said he will love to take Yeosin anae for overseas trip when they extend the contract. It was not a promise but a willing act to spend holiday or vacation together. And... Superman Nampyonnim could ask extra off days on the new year from the agency to take his wife for vacation. 

Where ever the destination is, hope PD-nim would let them have one day gateway without camera and all the crew... let them do what they have mention on So Yeon birthday... to runaway...

Daydreaming... but in this berrie's world... daydreaming means wrote and put another wish to the bucket of list right?...

They seems to have a hard time calming their hearts especially SiYang during the shots at the staircase......so i was just wondering how did they manage to get such  beautiful shots for the Cosmopolitan especially the loving romantic shot with the LOVE cushions snuggled with them...ohhh I forgot..... since her tiny hands is enveloped in his hand I guess they manage to be calm and comfortable hihihihi............[i love their smiles in that photo]

Everytime i hear the song *All I Want For Christmas is You* by Mariah Carey..... it reminds me of this berry merry cutey lovely couple ..... especially their photoshoot for valentines day ....haha...dunno why.... that song are just so for between them......

@seesaw_love that what I thought too. But from few pics that I saw that been posted by their fans it's look like they have their second honeymoon? Or it just a vacation? 

If I'm not mistaken they trip to China just for WGM not as if they have any event and WGM just along with their event.  

I guess I just get envy because I want our Blueberries have their gateway

@chumills-dejavu   I am just thinking did they 3 couples really met up during the 300EP pictorial because it was in the news that they met up.    In previous WGM, 3 couples met up and played games, CP won, get prizes.     So i wonder could it be something like that?!?!

Thanks for the link. It is what I understood using RAW translations of some articles about the Cosmo photoshoot. I understood the part where So Yeon said that she wants to be a better person, she wants to cook better, and that she feels brighter, she is laughing more just like people around her have noticed.  About Si yang, I understood that he wants to do many things for her in those 100 days. But from the translated article it seams that he just took notes about what she wanted to do  and did everything he could to realized it.

Let see what ideas they come in the next 100 days. I wonder if they have a date for the end of the extended contract just like the first one.

 It is not a surprise for me but it is nice to have a confirmation. I can`t wait to see So yeon and of course, Si yang, on the red carpet. The best part for me at his awards is to see the red carpet outfits. I am not impressed by the fashion but I love to see elegant people anyway. They will look great, I am sure.  Just a week until the event. YAY!

 @SamaraP - I was thinking the same thing.  What we don't see is the oxygen mask at the Cosmopolitan shoot that Si Yang had to use periodically to keep him from fainting.  Haha.  But honestly, holy moly, those were such professional shots and captured such an essence of our couple.  Now those are what I expected from Cosmopolitan and what I wanted to see from them. (Some of what I wanted to see, that is.  Always wanting more, more.)  Love their smiles, too.

The WGM photoshoot was cute and fun and lovely, but the photographer there reminded me a bit of the chef at the camp.  I was wondering, are they related?  Not by looks, by lack of tact.  I'm glad @thesuitelife547 explained his point of view, and I understand he wasn't trying to be rude.  Guess I'm being my overprotective self when it comes to Siso couple.  Oh, and I'm competitive, too.

Photographer: They're fresher than you are, so you'll have to work harder.

Translation:  You're over the hill so you might as well kiss the cover goodbye.
