Welcome to the Greek island of Zakynthos, where Descendants of the Sun was filmed!

 

The Venetians called Zakynthos ‘Fiore di Levante’, or flower of the east while ruling it from 1484 to 1797. Not many buildings from this time period remain due to 2 devastating earthquakes. You can see some of it still in beautiful Zakynthos town, but a lot of the interesting sights are found elsewhere.

 

A must-see is the Navagio Shipwreck Beach where the ship MV Panagiotis ran aground during bad weather in 1980.

 

There are plenty of other beaches that are not only spectacular but also Instagram worthy with their turquoise colored water. Stop by for some sun and a swim in Porto Limnionas or Porto Zorro Beach. How about exploring the Blue Caves or the Keri Caves?

 

If you're feeling tired, head over to the Xigia Sulphur Beach which is said to have therapeutic effects due to the sulphur and collagen in its waters. A natural spa!

 

Zakynthos is all about traditional Greek food - the freshest and healthiest Mediterranean cuisine around. Horiatiki (Greek Salad), local olives, souvlaki (meat or chicken skewers), stuffed rabbit or calamari will all be on the menu.

If you are short on time while sightseeing, why not pick up a Pita Gyros - a Greek pita kebab sandwich stuffed with meat, tomatoes, onions, fried potatoes and tzatziki? Yum!

The rumors says that KBS sent 2 scripts to actress Moon Geun Young this yearone is "Producer" and second one is DotS along with Song Joong kiand my korean friend told me that MGY is the first possible to this drama.

@gabom hahaha you said it. This better be good. I knkw she can write good dramas so i am crossing mg fingers for her writing magic to come here.
i do think SJKs company is just waiting for his discharge b4 the confirmation.

i remember that the start of culmination with the press for this drama started last october 2014 but since then no name has been attached other than SJK. I really feel like writer kim is patiently waiting for him much like all of us.
