Pinocchio teases small-town high school romanceby girlfriday

Okay, the second teaser for SBS’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama Pinocchio is a step in the right direction — at least it contains a tidbit of story information and actually features the heroine of our story, which is more than I could say for the first teaser (possibly a thing we should pretend didn’t happen. Except it did). The show’s second teaser features glimpses of Park Shin-hye and Lee Jong-seok’s past as sweet, happy high schoolers from a small country town.

They grow up together on a tiny island, and that marks the last happy phase in the hero’s life. He suffers the loss of his parents and undergoes a transformation (which thankfully includes the cutting of that mop hair), eventually hiding his identity and becoming a whole new person altogether. So he’s a character whose entire life becomes a lie, while our heroine is a character who can’t lie. She suffers from Pinocchio syndrome, which sends her into hiccup fits whenever she lies. She grows up to be brutally honest for that reason, which ought to be fun.

The leads join Lee Yubi (Gu Family Book) and Kim Young-kwang (Plus Nine Boys) as a foursome of rookie news reporters, and Lee Pil-mo (Emergency Couple) plays their boss, a gruff PD whose face is permanently stuck in a frown. He’s a man of principle who believes in the importance of truth above all else, which means he’ll be the mentor to whip our rookies into shape and inspire them.

Image Stills From the Set of ‘Pinocchio’ of Lee Jong Suk Released

SBS has released an image teaser of Lee Jong Suk as he stars in the Korean drama ‘Pinocchio’.  Lee Jong Suk donned a longer wavy hairstyle with rolled up pants and rubber shoes to perfect his character's countryside style, making a 180-degree transformation from his chic image. Don't worry fans though, if you aren't so fond of this look on him, since it will be just a few scenes from his character's past as a student living on a small island.

His agency rep stated, "Lee Jong Suk made a lot of suggestions and picked out the disheveledhairstyle himself, putting a lot of thought into the details. In order to bring the feel of Dahl Po to life on set, he even rolled up his pants himself."
The drama's production company rep stated, "Lee Jong Suk has a lot of affection for his role as Dahl Po, and is working hard while filming on set... We ask for a lot of interest in the newcharms and various transformations that Lee Jong Suk will show through 'Pinocchio'."

As mentioned before, Lee Jong Suk plays the role of Choi Dahl Po, whose nickname is 'All Bbang' ['All Zero'] due to his poor grades in high school, but has a special talent. 'Pinocchio' centers around a group of local news reporters in their twenties who are just starting out in the field. The drama is set to air following 'My Lovely Girl' on November 12!

Lee Jong Suk perfectly transforms into a country boy in first still cuts of SBS's upcoming drama 'Pinocchio'.

The still cuts show Lee Jong Suk dressing in school uniform with roll up pants and rubber shoes. In particular the thing that has caught many people's attention is his hideous messy hair which adds up to his country style.

Lee Jong Suk's agency revealed that the actor shared his ideas and directly chose the items such as suggesting the hairstyle in order to complete the look of the country boy Choi Dal Po.

The production crew of 'Pinocchio' said,"Lee Jong Suk has been filming harder than anyone else on the set, showing his affection towards his character. Please give Lee Jong Suk a lot of your interest as he will show his new charms and a vatiery of transformation through 'Pinocchio'".

'Pinocchio' tells the story about social affairs reporters and will be broadcasted on November 12th. Meanwhile, check out the 2nd trailer video below

The upcoming drama  Pinocchio has released its second teaser. In the clip, we get flashbacks of Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye as schoolmates falling in love. Take a look!

Ah, young love! Okay, first of all, can we talk about that ridiculous mop on top of Lee Jong Suk's head? I know that he has a pretty face and can get away with a lot, but I can't be the only one hoping that his new 'do is exclusive to the flashback phase, right? Also, seeing Park Shin Hye gazing wistfully in a school uniform is giving me some serious  Heirs flashbacks.
