let me share with you something that I know of but never paid attention to it so i just shrugged it off. I don't remember all the exact details though, like what the name of the show where I've watched it and other things. So I apologize for being a bad story teller. hehe
anyway...if anyone of u knows Kim Ji Min, the comedienne from Gag Concert? oh well....early lasy year, i was able to watch her in one talk shows where she made mention of Jo Jung SUk. Someone teased her for having a crush on him so she told the story on how they met during a birthday party that they both attended in May 2013. As you may guess... yes! this was Gummy's bday party. May 2013....YTBLSS was at its 3rd month. Still considered the earlier stage of the drama, so I assume JoU as well, were still on the earlier stage of getting closer to each other. My own gut feel says....IU wasn't the one who introduced JJS to Gummy, i strongly believe that Daesung, who's gotten close with him after doing a musical drama together, was the culprit!(lol)...since he and Gummy were on the same agency. 

btw....That Kim Ji Min girl kinda admitted that she was smitten with JJS after her encounter with him at the party....so....it's either JJS was still at the stage of pursuing Gummy, or Ji Min just doesn't know that her friend is having a secret relationship with her crush, or simply Gummy and him are just plain friends back then. moulla!!

I think you may be onto something there. It would make sense that there would be temporary distance between them after IU's confession. If she had done it right before the wrap up party, that would coincide with the second half of the song, "Drama" - when the drama ended, so did the ability to love to her heart's content.

It would also be a good time to confess, actually, because they wouldn't be alone with their thoughts. Instead, they would be surrounded by happiness, conversation, laughter, and good friends.

"Drama" was never officially released, even as a song file. IU only sang it during her concert, which further proves my theory that it was a confessional song.

Actually, I don't think JJS and Gummy has dated for two years either. I find that, depending on the celeb and the situation, they will either increase their dating time or decrease it dramatically to prevent negativity. It's a method to protect the celebrities.

Another thing about the recent article is that Gummy confessed she thinks even her current relationship is on the table. For someone who has been dating for two years, shouldn't there be more faith than that? It seems to me now that maybe their relationship is still pretty recent.

Another belated light bulb moment.

When we first heard this news, we laughed and brushed it off as saying that JJS is just a horrible liar and he gets so easily flustered when put on the spot. At the same time though, wasn't it around April 2014 that JJS had a magazine interview where he, himself, stated that he was single? If so, then how could he and Gummy have been dating for, supposedly, two years? That means JJS isn't as dorky and easily intimidated by questions as we first thought.

With this in mind, let's re-evaluate his statement.

When JJS said, "I don't know" in response to the interviewer's question, the lie detector should have gone off because he does know. How could he not know if the person who confessed was her unnie or not? How could he not know if she was an actress or not? But... the detector didn't go off. So what does that mean?

His "I don't know" was the truth. How? Because IU isn't just an actress, she's a singer. But then... she's not just a singer, she's an actress. So what, exactly, is the correct answer to that question? "I don't know."

Plus, JJS said before that just calling IU an actress or just calling her a singer would not be accurate since she's an all-around entertainer. In the end, what could JJS say but "I don't know"? If he said "no," then that would mean the person who confessed is a singer and the deduction would automatically be IU. If he said "yes," then LYJ would be suspected because she was the last actress to publicly be close to him after filming for K2H. So JJS played it safe, because he, too, was uncertain about how to classify IU into one category, and answered "I don't know."

We're definitely just a different level of shippers in that we're completely okay with discussing another couple's relationship in detail on our ship. Hahaha.

JJS guested in IU's concert on May 29th (btw, check out that JoU comment in this article when I searched up when JJS was a guest! lol), but I think the song "Drama" was performed for her One Step Closer concert on May 23rd. It's not the only time she's performed that song since its debut in May because the video I attached to my previous observation was dated September 21st. But every time "Drama" was sung, it was always live, so all audio files for it are the live versions.

I don't think there was a spiel... I just remember that IU said it was a song that she had composed by herself. That's it. I could be wrong though, so I'll have to look it up later when I'm not at work. Hehe.

About IU's love for Gummy, that has actually been public knowledge for a while, it's just that her most recent mention of it only made it into the news articles now. It's definitely not her way of making peace with the situation. XD

that's my problem...i could not even remember how I ended up watching that show. I was just browsing a gag concert blogger page coz I was shipping kim ji min with heo gyeowhan that time so I searched for all korean shows where the two of them appeared. Sadly, that blogger site hasn't been updated for so long so some pics and vids were missing Or I just couldn't find them. If only I know the link and remember the name of the show I already have shared it here fOr sure. but I will try to track it down when im free

it wasn't mentioned if IU was there at the party. Kim ji min just said "i met jjs when I attended gummy's bday party' something to that effect. No other celebs were mentioned.

i just thought of something...
remember that promotional interview that JJS did with SMA for MLMB, where he freaked out at SMA mentioning IU in the interview? Could it be that the reason why he was so jumpy at SMA's comment was because he was worried that it might cause some misunderstanding between him and Gummy? 
I mean, if their relationship started at about the same time he was working with IU, it would be understandable for Gummy to have questioned him about their relationship, especially since they are still in the process of building their trust for each other.  
What I'm trying to say is that this might be proof that IU was a threat to their relationship before. Of course, I don't mean this in a negative way (for all parties involved), but just that it naturally happened that way because of the situation.
