Back to the king, they are being escorted by the remaining Wudalchi.  

The hut where they came from is attacked.  Even after putting up a valiant fight, all the remaining Wudalchi are cut down, including the man and woman posing as the king and queen.

From another direction, we see Ahn Jae and his men coming to meet the king.

CS hears something and gets his men in defensive positions.

AJ and his men appear.  He asks if they came from Hjeongocheon.

CS and the other Wudalchi have their swords out.

AJ greets the king and kneels.  He tells the king he was sent by Choi Young to escort them back to the palace.

There is relief in the face of the Wudalchi as well as the king and queen.

@farstrep (far star): I think this man's main role is to be at my gym =)) Well, I couldn't really understand the politic parts of this drama. It gave me the hardest time in understanding the politics during this time. But, I like that his role was kind of a small friendship in regards to military. He doesn't share the same kind of bond like the Wooldachi does with Daejang but during the scene where they talk about the heavy sword, i think that is where his main role shone a lot. He was there to make CY question the statement "is the sword to heavy". I think it was another to pry into CY's conscious that we cannot really see..but through another person's asking, we can come to understand it a bit more.

He needs time to learn all this. Deferring to Choi Young (who has at least 7 years of experience) would be a wiser alternative.

CY is telling DB not to be lax in his vigilance until the end, surrounded by the other Wudalchis. Jung Hoon runs up and whispers something into CY's ear.

CY immediately turns and walks, at first slowly and then he breaks into a run (and we see the camera rail as he runs.. Boo editing team and PD. Anyway let us try to ignore that and move on.) << sia3: No we didn't! @WutHmone has cut it out! )

CY rushes right to where ES is waiting for him. She gets up from the chair, and he immediately grabs her into a hug. (Yayyy for spontaneous gestures, Daejang! Love it!) Ohh definitely need a gif of this moment.

It's a long hug, and CY is still breathless, perhaps also from emotion, as we see his eyes glistening as he hugs her tighter. He finally releases her to look at her, searching her face as he asks if she is alright. She just nods.

He asks what happened? Why did that bastard release her? Did she make another deal of some sort with DH? CY is getting increasingly agitated as he asks her, imagining what other deal she has made with DH. (Gif here would be nice too).

ES interrupts him smiling, "I kept crying, asking him to let me go." He can't seem to get his head around it, her crying. So many rice soup moments here so if we're playing, these are for the Asia-Pacific team. Haha. 
And ES pouts and nods adorably. Gif! CY still can't believe it, that DH would release her just because she cried. ES's smile gets wider and wider.

She pouts a little again, "I came running here because I wanted to be with you." (And I checked Viki, Dramafever and WithS2, all are in agreement to this dialogue. Doing a little happy dance now..)

ES continues, "I'm here now, so let's leave it at that. Why must you always be so angry and questioning as soon as we meet?" She says all this very gently and tenderly, even though she's reprimanding him. Only ES could get away with talking to him like that. 
He looks uncomfortable now, almost at wits end. Swoon. Gif. "This day has passed in much turmoil for me, in worrying for you."  Oooh the poor baby needs a hug, ES!

ES knows he has to leave, because the King is arriving and he needs to be there to receive the King. He says yes, and breaks out into an adorable smile. (Swoon, gif! LOL) He is relieved because he has received word that the King is fine. He tells ES to remain there and wait for him. (Happy dance!)

She nods and he tells her, he will return for her. (Oooh so romantic. Sigh. Swoon. Thud.) She tells him to go, the rest can wait till he returns.
He nods, and she smiles saying that she just wanted to see him today. And he smiles his adorable tiny smile, saying Yes. 
(Girls feel free with the gifs here, this scene is just so awesome. The music is making me increasingly emotional.)
She smiles and he turns to leave, almost reluctantly. He pauses and turns back, and she smiles at him brightly. He smiles his half smile and leaves. As soon as he's gone, her smile is gone and replaced by a worried look.
