my few cents...

That female coworker with geometric haircut is so funny and getting more and more likable--empathizing with XF over her loss of Nite but at the same time making a profit for herself!! That is killing two birds with one stone...but it was nice that she tried to help XF after XF lost MJ's friendship.

There were two mysterious cuts in the epi 6--they may mean something or maybe not...one is the owner of Rabbit Rabbit restaurant..we only saw his back and hands...yet the director kind of focused on them as the hands held the paper cranes made by MJ ever so gently.

There was also XF playing the finger game with a little girl in the park and a male fugure (back side only) looking on--it could be Nite--but why didn't the director show Nite's face??

It seems like both XF and MJ are afraid of loneliness and being alone---mj deals with it kind of dangerously by picking up guys and XF deals with it more innocently by confessing to many guys to be her bf.....kind of similar but different....

But MJ is very sneaky---she sets up challenges to both XF and NT---it could be mostly beneficial to MJ only.  She is challenging XF to do something she thinks XF will never be able to succeed in because XF is kind of a lovable scary-cat who is like a little girl. But she also challenges Nite to stay true to his words about being a perfect boyfriend (which is XF's words) which means that Nite will never kiss another girl except MJ----unless Nite is able to use a "human-like" jugment and memory....I am hoping for something so very moving and dramatic and incredibily tear-jerking moment!! I really hope so..Also, MJ is giving off yellow color sign to Nite's ring...Nite could be forever lost from XF..

In the Japanese version, the XF role was more sassy and talented---that is why her ordering a robot bf did not make sense to me. The casting was bit off and story somehow did not really work for me....She may be a doormat to men she likes but she gave off air that she could get men if she wanted to...we saw that the President's son liked her pretty much right away. Now, Taiwan XF is lot more believable in character to be a type to get a robot bf. She believes in internet marketing (remember she bought something to enlarge her chest? keke She is not sassy or talented and kind of dumb....she has just muscles to punch out ZS who delights in teasing her like his kid sister--keke...she believes in fairty tales but is too socially unaware--opposite of MJ and the other female coworker---in the real world. But she has a heart of gold. She is not glamorous like MJ or sassy-smart like Xie...keke--it makes sense that there are two female coworkers to compare XF with---why she is so lovable yet so unlucky in love...and she really wants that Knight in Shining Armor in today's world. Only ZS who knows everything about her would love her--like only a parent would love their dorky and adorable kid even if others may not.....keke.....did I go too far?? When I start liking characters as in novels or dramas,,,I can go on and on...sorry!

One thing...I wonder if XF will feel good about herself without men?? Her goal is findng love through bf. As the Japanese version XF who felt good about her cooking skill (i.e.making dessert and she even goes to France later to study cooking...right??)....?? But then, even without any amazing skills or brains, XF is an adorable and very likable character--sweet yet not so sweet and she does not allow men to put her down no matter what!! We saw XF punch out ZS when he teases her,,but she also pinched SKY and yelled at him and she also threw water at the guy she confessed to in the beginning....keke..and she is not afraid to scream at Lei WuWu!!

Agree with you that AB deserves more love. Not sure why not many Taiwanese are  watching it because in my humble opinion, it is the best one at that time slot. Maybe it is because the 2 with the higher ratings are a few episodes ahead and heading towards the conclusion and people are invested into it. I feel sad as everything about it is great....the comic style, the directing, the script, the Osts and the casts. One of the best true rom-com! Lots of people are watching online at dramacrazy and mysoju, etc.

I am so thankful that GHS choose to do this despite the language barrier. It really shows her versatility and comic timing. I just love AB!

Sue, you got XF character nailed down good. XF does not excel in anything, but she has a good and pure heart ,full of love. She is naive in love relationship because every male who rejected her, based it on appearances and never take time to understand her. ZS  understand her  and appreciate her good qualities. I think XF is spunky. All her confessions took courage. she just haven't met a good guy who would look beyond outer appearances( GHS philosophy..looks are not important). Of course ZS is always there, but she only sees him as a good friend.  Like you said, MJ is pretty much in the same boat. The men date her and dump her even though it seems MJ has it all. The writing is really good here. It shows us the differences of presonality yet true love only comes with a sincere and true heart. Both of them are lonely and long for true love.

I also think the paper cranes has some significance , which may be revealed later. The restaurant owner, maybe , has a crush on MJ, since she is there everyday? I adore all the side characters...all her co-workers-the funny gay Sky, her not-so smart supervisor, the serious clever business-minded ZX, the mean girls, Vistoria, the bar managers, ZS's smart brother,  Lei Wuwu is the best!

It looks like XF is having problems getting the kiss from the previews and time is not on her side. There is a part where she is laying face down in the swimming pool. Perhaps Night will save her and give her "the kiss of life" (CPR) and she gets him back that way?? kekeke

Finally got a break from the kiddies and am watching it! Don't think I'll get the recap up tonight, so hopefully sometime tomorrow...although both my niece and newborn nephew will be home all day and that means trying to keep a certain little girl entertained. but i do love being with them

Thanks for the offer, rise2above. The only question , I have is  did Night work as a male prostitute at that bar or just a male escort ? I know they only show him accompanying the females with drinking. He can't be sleeping with them as well. Is that why XF has to be there to guard against it? Just to clarify, Lei Wuwu did mention, once they did "that" , Night cannot be reset, right? I also wonder about the significance of the cranes MJ folded. Perhaps that will be revealed later.

I think Sue/cheerkoo wonders about the ring Night wears. Is it just sensitive to his set girlfriend only or to the moods of any females nearby? I thought it is sensitive to nearby females, according to Lei Wuwu, but I may have misunderstood.

Wow! Translation is 100%.

So,I just finished up to the part where NITE tells XF that next time she tries to Kill herself, he won't be bothered by her anymore.  But we saw in the preview that NITE does save her. Plus NiTe has been told by Meije that he has to prove that he is absolutely perfect bf and never kiss anyone else. Although Meije set it up so that XF thinks Meije will allow Nite to kiss her....

hmmm,,,

I am so curious as to what makes NITE choose to save XF when it is not Meije....and ZS was there so that he could have saved XF too.

How will the writers make it believable and have an impact??!!

Sorry that you were annoyed with XF's actions esp learning to swim part. For me, It did not bother me because since I started watching dramas years ago, I have got used to our female leads being silly and getting themselves into situations where they have to be rescued by the male leads. I mean how many times they walk in front of the cars to be rescued just in time, or have to be saved because they can't swim ( I mean why are they even near water if they can't swim, right?), etc,etc. A lot of things in dramas defy logic like the poor heroine who wears brand name clothes and latest cellphone when she is in debt and can't afford food. I have given up reasoning years ago. I look at a drama these days and say to myself..why am I watching it, why is it different from the others, what is the writer trying to say, am I being entertained, do I look forward to it, are the cast acting out their characters well, etc.

I like  ep 6 because it is the turning point in terms of the relationships. ZS finally confessed his feelings to XF, XF realising that she does not want to lose Night, Night remembering XF, which is contrary to the reset program.A breakup with a robot is sure different from that between humans! Sure is a lot cleaner..no hurt feelings , no hysterics .kekeke  The kissy face when XF is running towards Night is so ridiculously funny...this comic style of the director is refreshing. It reminds me of ep 1 when XF brought those noodles to Shi Guan. I was ROTFL.

Such a long wait to Sunday. Ep 7 looks interesting.

XF may not be smart and savvvy and she does not get her men but she has never let men put her down. Her character is such that she will not stand for it. That is most likely why she never thought of ZS more than a friend. He always teased and put her down. ZS may have all the ideal qualities that XF set in Nite, but ZS did not have the courage to face his feelings for XF (until too late) and he never said all the nice charming words and sentiments that XF loves from Nite--how pretty she is, how perfect she is and does not need to diet, he doted and loved her unconditionally. Who would not love that! Even the cold and icy Meijia is in the process of melting because of Nite. Nite sees in Meija what nobody saw--that she picks up men because she too is lonely and afraid to be alone. Nite is never judgmental and sees the positive in the person. I wonder how Nite will feel when he goes back to XF--would he remember her??

Meijia saw that Nite was wavering when XF earnestly asked Nite for his kiss. I did not see it the first time either. But later, I saw Jiro Wang's superb and subtle acting that showed his emotion crumbling in front of XF when all the logic and XF's setting in his robot system said NO to XF. You guys have to go back and see it.

To that, Meijia sarcastically puts XF down...."it is my firist time seeing a woman groveling to a man who rejected her for a kiss" (This was not in the viki translation but it is in the Korean translation!! I thought viki translation did not really make sense and Korean trans was finally available and I saw it!)

We also must remember that who Nite is as a robot/person is mostly what XF put in him. We can almost see the reflection of XF in Nite. This is what ZS also said about XF while they are washing dishes together.---she maybe dumb and not very pretty but she has great values---value to see positives in others and not make judgments in others heand she is loyal....no matter how much ZS put her down all these years, she never shunned him as a friend. But she did show him how she felt about his put-downs!!

We also must remember the number 1 and most valluable setting that XF placed in Nite---what absolute boyfriend is about--never letting another woman kiss him, to serve his love whole-heartedly and to never lie but to have the courage to express the truth.

That is who XF is as a person.

XF does not know know what love is--especially love bet woman and man. She has been rejected all along that she has never experienced being in love. So, she is trying to sort things as as she is trying to sort out how she feels about ZS. We can all identify with being bombarded with emotions that we are not sure what it really is.. Right??!! ZS's brother is right...why can we have containers with labels for our emotions so that we can organize and categorized them more easily. While XF is sorting her emotions, I think Nite is going throught it himself...but his is better compartmentalized as he is a robot but XF is a jumble of mess. All she knows is that she cares for Nite....I keep on associating GHS's love for her Gamja. Those who are GHS fans know about GHS and Gamja, her adorable big golden retriever--he is the reason that makes her more responsible and more loving and a better person--all because he cannot take care of himself if not for her.

So, on one hand, it looks like XF is groveling as Meijia said....but there is flip side to that....XF is exerting courage and love to stand before Nite to honestly express how she feels and what she wants. Now, isn't that courage to gain love....right?? Would I ever do that?? I think I  might if I really love that person.

This drama also points out another philosophy---first the lock and lock philosophy by ZS's brother and now the philosophy about how love can make you into a better person than you are already. Love for Nite is making XF overcome her fears of breathing under water.She took the challenge from Meijia because she knows that Nite would never go against his setting.  Although I may sound too defensive for the sake GHS/XF,,,but I don't think XF was going to swim alone in that water---she most likely just wanted to try and see if she can put her face in the water....but XF is also a silly person---I guess S_sun can be right too....without the drama of a drama, where would drama be!! keke Also, can you imaging introducing another character, swim teacher in this drama?? keke

Love is turning XF more courageous and I think she is maturing as well...I think I remember reading some of your logo under your posts...can not remember whose...something about love being a better person when being with that person.....

This silly drama with a premise that is hard to stomach gives us lot to think about....

I understand dramas defy all logic and usually I can get past that pretty easily (although there are times it does grate a little), but for some reason the swimming scene (while really good for ZS/XF/NT dynamics) really bugged me. Maybe because I can't swim all that well. So I would never go to a swimming pool alone. And since XF is terrified of the water and putting her head under, she really put herself at risk of drowning by panic attack (in the real world, that is, but we all know that won't happen in drama land to the main female lead)

I am really looking forward to the next episode. I hope they resolve Night's reboot and I really want to know how the whole love triangle (quadrangle now that Mei Jia is falling for him?) will play out. I do like Night, but really want XF and ZS together. Yes, he's bullied her in he past, but he's also taken care of her wholeheartedly. Too bad he just can't say how he feels. It's actually pretty typical for a guy to pick on the girl he likes as a way of expressing himself instead of otherwise coming right out and saying it. Plus, it seems that XF could hold her own against ZS fairly well and gave as good as she got.

I don't know why but I was reminded of Win a Date with Ted Hamilton where the leading lady (who squabbled with her best friend a lot) wondered if it was possible to be in love with someone for so long without knowing it. I wonder if that will happen here or not as XF (even though she said she will sort out her feelings for ZS) as she is really running full speed after Night and only really remembering/considering ZS's feelings after she does something to kind of hurt him. Although, ZS brings it on himself by always helping her, even in pursuit of another man. Silly second lead syndrome. That's why they never get the girl in the end.

Based on my understanding, it is a male prostitution bar but he seems to be working more as an escort. XF is on guard because she does not want Night to be touched by other girls. XF is jealous. Once they do it, Night will be hers.

To me, the ring is sensitive to his girlfriend the most because of the display of colors indicating the mood but I might be wrong too.

I think the drama is not clear cut on some of these things.
