According to the KOBIS cinema ticket integrated computer network, the number of audiences in October was ▲”Confidential Assignment 2: International” 1,113,450. Meanwhile, according to CJ ENM, the movie started VOD service at the end of last month October.

Actor Jung Woo-sung appears in 'Harbin'.  

According to a movie official on the 14th, Jung Woo-sung will make a special appearance in director Woo Min-ho's new work 'Harbin'.  

'Harbin' is a spy action film set in Harbin in the early 1900s and tells the story of independence fighters who risked their lives to reclaim their homeland.  

It is the next film directed by Woo Min-ho, who previously led the box office hits of 'Inside Men' and 'The Managers of Namsan'. Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, Jeon Yeo-bin, etc. have confirmed their appearances, raising expectations. The 'Harbin' team departs after coordinating the schedule.

The tvN new Saturday drama 'Crash Landing on You', which is scheduled to be broadcasted for the first time at 9 pm on Saturday, December 14, hides and protects Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), the heiress of a conglomerate who crash-landed in North Korea in a paragliding accident with a gust of wind. It is an absolutely secret love story of Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), a North Korean officer who falls in love. 

In the teaserview video released today (15th), as well as the revolutionary (?) chemistry between Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, the nicknames of the North Korean officer Ri Jeong-hyeok and the third-generation chaebol Yoon Se-ri, chosen by the two actors, are also revealed and are attracting attention.

South Korean box office sales fell to half of the pre-pandemic level last month due to lack of hit films, industry data showed Tuesday.

A total of 61.5 billion won (US$46.4 million) worth of movie tickets were sold in October, drawing 6.2 million viewers, according to the data from the Korean Film Council (KOFIC).

The monthly sales were half of the same period of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the film industry. 

With no movie surpassing 1 million admissions, the October tally decreased by 39.6 percent from a month earlier.

KOFIC attributed the sluggish sales to the absence of smash-hit films following the Chuseok holiday in September, considered as the one of the peak seasons for local theaters. 

"Confidential Assignment 2: International," the Korean action-comedy sequel to a 2017 hit released on Sept. 7, was the top-grossing movie of last month, accounting for 17.5 percent of the total revenue.

By distributor, CJ ENM took up 28.8 percent of October sales, followed by Lotte Entertainment with 24 percent and Warner Bros. Korea with 12.7 percent. 

Among indie and art house films, "Daemuga," a Korean comedy drama about shamanism, drew 548.4 million won in revenue to lead the segment. 

The accumulated ticket sales in the first 10 months of the year reached 939.1 billion won, up 116.3 percent from 2021, while they stood at nearly 60 percent of the pre-pandemic figures in 2019.

Son Ye-jin's 100-point husband, Hyun Bin, is adjusting the departure schedule for filming ahead of his wife's birth. 

Hyun Bin received everyone's congratulations when it was announced that she was pregnant with her son after marrying Son Ye-jin in March. 

While Son Ye-jin's due date for childbirth is coming December, she left for Latvia in January next year to film the movie 'Harbin' and filmed for about a month and a half. 

Hyun Bin, who is eagerly waiting for the day when she will meet her child's face, said that her Son Ye-jin is about to give birth, so her exact departure schedule is being coordinated.
