Choi Ji Woo And Lee Sang Yoon Receive Offers For Upcoming KBS Drama

Actress Choi Ji woo and actor Lee Sang Yoon are currently in talks for the upcoming KBS 2TV drama “Road to the Airport” (working title).

On May 10, a representative confirmed that the two stars are currently reviewing their offers.

The drama’s storyline revolves around a married man and woman between their 30s and 40s. Writer Lee Sook Yeon, known for writing movies such as “One Fine Spring Day” and “The Sword With No Name,” makes her drama writing debut through this work. The drama will be directed by Kim Chul Kyu, who is known for his work on “Summer Scent” and “Hwang Jin Yi.”

Choi Ji Woo and Lee Sang Yoon have worked together before on the tvN drama “Twenty Again,” and are poised to potentially reunite if both accept their offers.

“Road to the Airport” is scheduled to air in June after the last episode of “Uncontrollably Fond.”

The Choi Ji Woo husband rumors remain as speculations as there isn’t any confirmation as to whether or not the actress is dating Lee Seo Jin.

Choi Ji-woo considers role in 'Carrier Dragging Women'

Actress Choi Ji-woo might take on a role in MBC’s “Carrier Dragging Woman,” her agency said Tuesday.

YG Entertainment said she was reviewing whether to join the drama, though nothing has been decided yet. 

The drama features the character Cha Geum-Joo, a law firm representative with a reputation for being fearless and brazen. 

With stellar investigative skills and an extensive network of connections, she is a highly successful provost, however, her career takes a turn for the worse after she breaches a lawyer code. 

If Choi joins the drama’s cast, it will mark her return to the small screen since her appearance on the drama “Second Twenties” last year.

Choi Ji-woo considers new role

Actress Choi Ji-woo may star in a new MBC drama series tentatively titled “A Woman Who Carries a Suitcase.”

Several local media outlets reported Tuesday morning that Choi had been confirmed to take the lead role in the upcoming project. However, Choi’s talent agency, YG Entertainment, announced that the actress had not yet made up her mind.

Choi has been offered to play a character named Cha Geum-joo, who heads a law firm. The story revolves around Cha, who enjoys a successful career until she is sent to prison for violating the Attorneys-at-Law Act. The plot centers on how the character rebuilds her career and achieves her ultimate dream.

If Choi takes part in the show, it will be the first time the actress is starring in a drama since tvN’s “Twenty Again,” which aired last year. 

Choi is a veteran actress who has starred in numerous hit projects including “Temptation” (2014), “Stairway to Heaven” (2003-04) and “Winter Sonata” (2002). She has also appeared in numerous reality programs such as “Grandpas Over Flowers” (2015).
