Guest amiyu
I was home by myself last night and so I decided to make Nabeyaki Udon. It was my first try and it turned out great! ^^ ^ Eh the red light from my camera made the udon red. =__= What's in it: Soba noodles (eeeh I didn't have udon noodles so I had to subsitute ), green onions/shallots, egg, spinach and chicken. You're supposed to have fish cake... but I couldn't find such thing in Denmark so I had to do without. =)

Guest alicee
I finally made something semi-worthy of this thread! lol =D But I made mini cheesecakes (haven't made anything homemade for a longgggggggggg time) from ataraxis's thread ^^ They were surprisingly easy and since I used a 6-filled cupcake pan, I only had it in the oven for about 10 minutes and then put it in the freezer for another 10 and they were ready to eat! Can't wait to take some to school tomorrow~ I used a mini fork to eat it LOL xD

Guest `soliloquy
^ LOL. I can sooooooo imagine. ooo, my my.. this thread sure moved quite abit since I last came by! Look at the tons of food! OMG. I'm hungry again, and I just had lunch. TSK! Anyways, just to post some of the stuff i've been making lately. These are yummy, although the recipe needs more tweaking. Zesty & lemony, perfect for citrus-lovers like myself. I've been experimenting with cheesecake flavors lately. Using oreos as the base during my last attempt, I switched to using Digestive biscuits & wham! they taste really good! Lemon + oreo + cheese = heaven. Another batch of fruit tarts. Only made these cause brother kept asking for them. Since it was his birthday, I finally gave in and made some for him. All taken with my RAZR. Thank goodness i just bought a 7.1mpixel olympus. yayness! <3 ayu.

(= I wish I could bake for you guys, for being so nice with your comments. If anything, I sure hope they taste as good as they seem to look! omg *ayu* do you have a recipe for that oreo cheesecake? looks amazing Hey jin91, here you are! This recipe has been revised each time I make them, in an attempt to further 'perfect' the recipe. Revisions will still be made as I continue making them, do feedback to me if you try this out yeah? (= Lemon oreo cheesecake. 350g Digestive biscuits (crushed) 120g melted butter 375g Philadelphia cream cheese (cut into smaller cubes) 120g castor sugar 250ml thickened cream 15g gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water Oreos (broken up into pieces) 1- 1 1/2 lemon (juiced) Directions 1. Mix the crushed digestive biscuits with melted butter and press firmly onto an 18-24cm springform pan. Chill. 2. Beat cheese and sugar. Stir in the thickened cream (cream that has been beaten separately and thickened). 3. Stir through the gelatin, lemon juice and oreos. 4. Pour onto the prepared base and chill until the cream cheese mixture has set. Best will be to leave it overnight. krngrl3091, dang those brownies look amazing! samarie, the cakes look DIVINE. You're a chef, I swear my stuff pales in comparison! <3 ayu.
Guest samarie
what exactly is fondant.. just hard sugar?? how do u make that.. Fondant is a thick, creamy white sugar mass used in different forms for decorating cakes and cookies with; it can be rolled and draped over a cake, poured as a glaze or sculpted with. I can pm you the recipe if you want. There's also ready made fondant you can buy at cake decorating stores. steph*funny & meeshellz Thanks!
